This is my third G502 so far, it's still one of the best mice available. In terms of price, I don't believe that anything really beats the G502. It is very responsive, very comfortable, and in my opinion, the weight makes it easier to use. Logitech's GHUB program is not particularly great, but it is functional enough and I have never had any issues with it beyond UI. The weight of the mouse is, in my opinion, very comfortable, but it should be noted that it is on the heavy side even with all of the modular weights removed, so this may not be the greatest choice for someone who prefers lighter mice that glide easily. The buttons on the side of the mouse are easy to use comfortably and quite responsive. The biggest caveat to consider is that a few of the older models of this mouse had issues with the clicking mechanism which could lead to issues such as double-clicks or unresponsive clicks. This issue may still be here, and if so, you may get less usage of the mouse than is ideal.

I actually first started using the G502 on my very first laptop years ago. I’ve come from the original wired G502, which got stolen unfortunately, and bought the G502 with the upgraded wiring and now the G502 HERO years and years later. Needless to say, my love for the G502 has always been there from the very beginning. Couldn’t have found a better mouse that fits my hands and grip perfectly. Ive tried a wide array of mice from friends but I always stuck with the G502 myself. The familiarity, shape, feel and responsiveness is always the best for me. It’s my home mouse. The heavy scroll wheel also acts like my mini fidget spinner so thats an added bonus for me. I've been using this for more than a month and it works wonders in addition to the app. Full customizable buttons which mean no more finger dancing on my keyboard for certain controls. The weights really helped me transition to this one because I can emulate the feel of my previous mouse. The scroll locking is also good especially when scrolling through long pages (or scrolling in Genshin Impact :P).As good as it is, it still has some downsides. The scroll feels smooth when unlocked, but when locked, it immediately feels like it's a cheap plastic because the scroll isn't exactly locking smoothly between clicks. Lastly, the mouse produces a lot of noise and it can be clearly heard when plugged near an AUX port with the noise leaking into my earphones. Not entirely sure if this one is a hardware limitation or if it's fixable, either way, easiest fix is to plug it somewhere else.Overall, it's still a very good mouse for what it's worth. The ability to customise the controls really takes the cake as it can take over 7 - 9 keyboard keys balancing out the activity between hands.

After the first year and a half I was having double clicking issues with the right click. Which is apparently common with Logitech mice. Now with it nearly being 3 years the double clicking is much worse, and even the left click is not registering all clicks. About 1 year in I had to replace the skates as the OEMs were peeling up and scratching my mouse pad. Luckily skates are cheap on amazon and the replacements were higher quality and glided better. Overall disappointed by the the quality of the g502 Hero. I loved the functionality of it and if not for the subpar quality it'd 5 star the mouse. Everything aside from the quality I love about the g502 Hero. I'd still recommend the mouse and the protection plan with it. My brother has had this mouse for almost 5 years now and with a little bit of cleaning it can still look like it's brand new. Over the same period of time I've gotten through many mice which are all at least $100 dollars each, so about a month ago I finally decided to get the G502 wired. Before I talk about the mouse's different aspects, keep in mind I play mostly roguelike and fps games and NEVER smash or damage my peripherals from anger. To start, the design of the mouse is great if you want something a bit more on the flashy side. Personally I love the addition of metal features like the scroll wheel and the DPI lights, and even the parts that aren't metal doesn't feel like cheap plastic like most other mice I've owned. The features of the mouse are what you'd ... MoreMy brother has had this mouse for almost 5 years now and with a little bit of cleaning it can still look like it's brand new. Personally I love the addition of metal features like the scroll wheel and the DPI lights, and even the parts that aren't metal doesn't feel like cheap plastic like most other mice I've owned. The features of the mouse are what you'd expect from a good gaming mouse, like the DPI switch on the side for sniping in fps games, the two other DPI buttons on the top of the mouse for long-term changes in sensitivity, and two bindable buttons on the side of the mouse. The buttons all feel responsive and make a satisfying click sound, but one of the main features of the mouse is the scroll wheel, which can be toggled from a regular scroll wheel to an almost frictionless mode where it continues spinning in the direction you scroll. I thought I wouldn't use this much at first but it's become more and more convenient when scrolling down long websites or even text documents when working. The mouse also has additional weights that can be added, but the mouse already feels a bit too heavy for things like fps games even without added weight. This is my only complaint so far, so if you like using really light mice this probably isn't for you. The software is also easy to use and lets you change the DPI settings, RGB and even the functions for each button on the mouse.TLDROverall this is a great mouse with lots of features. I like everything about it except for it being a bit too heavy even without any of the additional weights, and the scroll wheel is convenient mostly for productivity.
Bought this mouse on sale recently. Really satisfied with this mouse. It does exactly what is says it does, and is nothing more than what it claims to be.Need a gaming mouse with a great sensor? You don't really care about bluetooth or wireless? And you like a heavier mouse? G502 has got you covered. It doesn't need to rely on the Logitech branding to sell itself. It's quality speaks for itself. The build and feel are quite nice, compared to some simple hard plastic shell mice from other brands. My one gripe that led to the 4 star rating is that I think the cable could be a bit nicer. Maybe thicker plastic or even a braided one would be nice.Compared to other brands' apps, I think Logitech really excels with the G Hub. I'm also not a fan of the superlight stuff, so the heft of the mouse really appeals to me. Overall great mouse.
I've had this mouse for a few months now and I absolutely love it. I am upgrading from the Corsair Glaive, so naturally, I would prefer a heavy mouse. This mouse grants you the option to add weights to the bottom of it via a small compartment, and have added as many as I could. However, I noticed that if you add a weight near the magnetic closure piece, it will make the back plate to access the weight compartment more likely to fall off, and this can result in your mouse not being able to sense the tabletop as well and overall interrupt gameplay. I remedied this by just not having a weight in that slot. Otherwise, this mouse is everything I could have wanted. I love all the buttons I can keybind and the fact I can unlock the scroll wheel. Now, here's something ... MoreI've had this mouse for a few months now and I absolutely love it. This mouse utilizes the Logitech software to allow you to customize it, but I also have a Blue Yeti, so it also automatically links to this software. The software for the Blue Yeti is terrible, and has made is so my microphone doesn't function as well. I had to go through the trouble of completely disabling the software from modifying my Blue Yeti.
I recently purchased another G502 for my girlfriend. I’ve personally been using a G502 for years and have no trouble recommending it.It’s been very durable, and even after heavy use, there’s been minimal general surface wear. The scroll wheel has slightly lost its finish, but I don’t see this as a major issue. The shape is always a matter of personal preference, but I really like the 502’s form factor. The thumb shelf is something that I’ve become very accustom to, and left/right buttons are in a great position for someone with slightly longer fingers. It’s pretty gimmicky, but I guess the customizable weight is a nice touch. The Logitech software is a little annoying to deal with, but it gets the job done.I’m far from a connoisseur, but the actual switches ... MoreI recently purchased another G502 for my girlfriend. Another awesome feature is the toggle-able infinity scroll. With one button, the scroll wheel “unlocks” from the normal tactile bumps and spins freely. This is great for spreadsheets or just getting to the bottom of a browser page quickly. The epic gamer “sniper” button is a big gimmick that I never use, but I guess if you want the option to lower your DPI on the fly, it’s there. Finally, the actual sensor seems to be very high quality. Again, not a connoisseur, but I have found the mouse to be very precise and responsive.Overall, for the price, I really think it’s hard to beat,
This was my first ever high end gaming mouse and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. The dpi was amazing and it was incredibly smooth. The inbuilt software is so feature packed and allows me to fully customise all of the 11 buttons. This mouse was also very useful for non gaming activities, because of all the extra buttons I could bind all of my hot keys. The auto scroll is niche but has some uses example being, scrolling through a long pdf, or scrolling through EULAs.Now some criticism. First of all the main feature of this mouse in my opinion, the scroll wheel, didn't really feel the best. The frictionless mode felt too fast and the locked mode felt a bit too strong. I've had my G502 Hero for over a year now, and I can safely say that it is near perfect for my needs. The build quality hasn't deteriorated since I bought it, and it is better than the multiple Razer mice I owned before it. The shape of the mouse fits my hand nicely, it feels solid and is generally very comfortable to hold. The right side of the mouse has a large surface the the Razer Basilisk, and so your pinky and ring fingers don't feel cramped. The grips are by far the best I've ever used, they don't become slippery when your hand becomes sweaty unlike modern Razer grips. The buttons are very useful and there are a lot of them. So far I've only encountered two downsides to the G502 Hero.
