The guide rail works very well with a decent range of fittings on the router converter that enables most routers to be used. However, there is no DeWalt product that enables you to use the DW26200 fixed base router with the guide rail so you have to use the aftermarket for a third party manufactured product.

Great track. Makes cutting with the saw accurate and super fast. Huge time saver. Gone are the days of clamping a straight Edge to the board and compensating for the edge to blade. Just drop the rail down Or your marks, no clamps needed and just rip the board.

Great quality product as usual from Dewalt. I use this with a router and DeWalt's DCS576 circular saw which has a a base plate to use the track. Makes cutting sheet material effortless and routing straight long lines quick and easy!

Makes Straight cuts much easier but is a little bit awkward to use. Definitely helps it makes the process of cutting straight faster

I was shocked to see that a little pcs of connector been packed in an enormous box full with stuffing so that pice of metal don't rattle around in the box. What a waste of trees ?

Good Guide from Dewalt

Essential part of the plunge saw set up, does exactly what it's supposed to- as you'd expect from Dewalt. I've used it on ply and mdf boards up to 18mm so far and find it sits in position without clamping. It's a really good tool, as good as it's supposed to be so I scored four stars -very good. There was one snag- a tiny patch of the surface coating was slightly rough which affected the smooth sliding action so I sanded it very lightly. Now its all good I'm happy with it.

Great accessory

Bought to go with my Dewalt circular saw (compatible with guide rail base). Says does not come with splinter guards but does come with rubber edges which in the circular saw manual it states are splinter guards. Can't use the rail fresh as you have to tune the rail to the saw (cutting a bit of the rubber edge off) so that the rubber edge lines up exactly with the cutting edge. Manual of the saw says use a scrap piece of wood for this but i didn't have one so used it on the first piece i was cutting. No issue with that, 16 cuts in and it's a dream to use. Wouldn't cut anything that needed precision without it. Didn't use clamps, the rubber base is grippy enough. I would worry it could get knocked and bend if just in the bag on it's own

Guide rail

It’s long it’s straight and it’s made of metal 1500mm guide rail is a great size for fitters, easy straight cuts with no fuss. Works well with new Dewalt circular saw perfect for good clean lines when ripping down boards. The rail doesn’t move and is grippy enough so you don’t need to clamp it. The carry bags a bit over priced but still worth getting that too.
