Overall, good. I am long-sighted. My ordinary contacts give me very good all round vision, but I need to use readers over the top for small print. The multifocal lenses allow me to dispense with glasses altogether; I can read well without the need for over-the-top readers. My only slight concern is that the distance vision is not quite so good as it is with my general contacts. To be fair, I‘ve only worn them for about 8 days, and it will probably take longer for the brain and eyes to adjust. I suspect, though, that it will prove to be a compromise, and although I have driven with them, I feel that my distance vision will always be sharper with my original contacts.

I previously had Clariti 1-day multifocal lenses. They took a while to get used to, but then they worked well. I was out of them, using single vision contacts and glasses for about a year, then decided to give Acuvue multifocal 1-day lenses a try. The difference is night and day. These are not only thinner and more comfortable, I find that they are just easier to focus on small stuff like print, my phone, etc. I'll be sticking with this brand going forward, but I still like having the single focus lenses as an option in case I'm driving long distances, especially at night. 10/10 would recommend!

When I first wanted to give up wearing glasses to use contacts, I did a lot of research. I mean I only need glasses for distance so it is aggravating to me to have to flip them up and down the whole time I’m wearing them. The bad thing about this kind of vision is that it is or must be completely difficult for an eye dr to get the multi focal contacts the right strength. I’ve been to five Drs so far and none of them have it right. The close up contact is so bad off that I can’t even see my phone screen or anything that I can see normally without any corrective lenses. So what I had to do is just wear one. The contact I wear is the one I need for distance and then just use my naked eye for the close up vision. It’s crazy that they can’t dial in the right strength but in all the years of trying to do it they keep getting worse. Anyhow these contacts are the absolute best. I love disposable ones. It saves you such a ton of money in the long run. There is no need to buy all the necessary long term solutions for taking care of your contacts. There is no need to continue buying contact cases to store them in. It is just so much easier to just use the one a day disposable. These contacts have hydra clear plus and they are so well made that I have not ever had a tare or bad one in the four years I have been using them. I don’t wear them everyday but I am glad I have them. They have the UV blocking like all contacts but these seem to work better with my blue eyes. One of the most common barriers to contact lens wear is dryness. To help ease discomfort associated with dryness, 1-Day Acuvue Moist lenses feature an exclusive technology called Lacreon. This substance is similar to tears and is permanently embedded in each contact lens. Lacreon acts like a cushion and a moisturizer, allowing the contacts to fit comfortably throughout the day. Plus, the technology reduces friction when you blink to further enhance comfort. I really can’t say enough about these contacts and I have tried over seven brands so far. These are the absolute best.

5 for DCL 3 for Acuvue Moist 1-Day Disposals
19 May 2018

The overall experience with DCL was great. The Acuvue Moist Multifocal lenses did not work out for me. After almost a month my eyes would not adjust to these multifocal lenses and when looking at objects in the distance everything looked slightly hazy even though they were plano (0.00) for distance. When I removed them my distance vision was sharp and vivid. In the morning when I put in these lenses, I would get a slight 'sting' from the solution, my eyes would get red for about 1-2 minutes and then they would clear. After 6-7 hours of wear (mostly computer work) they became extremely dry (These are 1-day disposal lenses and I used a new set each day). I tried contact rewetting drops but they still felt dry and uncomfortable. Thinking back, I recall having the same issues with Acuvue when I wore single vision contacts 5-6 years ago before finally giving up and going back to glasses. So, I think this may be typical of this brand. It's important to note, that I have severe allergies (dust, mold, grass, trees, pollen, cats, dogs...) so one/multiple may/not have contributed to the issues I experienced. I did a follow-up with my Optometrist and she switched me to Dailies Total 1 Multifocal and what a difference. No sting, no red eye, no dryness. The Total 1s are extremely comfortable and I forget I'm wearing them. If you are currently wearing Acuvue Daily Multifocal lens and suffer from dry eyes, have sensitive eyes, or you don't feel your vision is a vivid/clear as you'd like, you may want to consider the Dailies Total 1s. Your Optometrist should be able to provide you with a 5-day trial package to see if they will work for you. The Total 1 Multifocals are fairly new and a little more expensive than the Acuvue so if you try them and like them shop around for the best price. DCL does price match with some stipulations, so research before you buy.

ACUVUE REWARDS NOT WORTH THE HASSLE!
24 March 2023

How I wish there was a ZERO star.I have been an Acuvue Moist Multifocal customer for 5 years. Every year the Acuvue Rewards get smaller and smaller and harder and harder to obtain. This year, it was ridiculously time consuming, frustrating and fraudulent.First, the Acuvue computer platform is antiquated and systemically designed to thwart users. For example, I closed my business and deleted my business e-mail accounts in 2021. Last year I created a new Acuvue member account because I had a new e-mail. This year, because I have the same phone number for the last 20 years(!) and its associated with the old and the new account I could not log in.In order to access my account I had to use my husband's computer to get an access code because their system could not send ... MoreHow I wish there was a ZERO star.I have been an Acuvue Moist Multifocal customer for 5 years. And this was with the real time, telephone assistance of an Acuvue representative. Are you kidding me! The rep had the patience of a saint because I was loosing my mind. She admitted that they have this problem often. This year I received an e-mail stating I could get $200 back on a year's supply. Given that my contacts now cost $950 for one year supply, I slogged thru the process of uploading a picture of the 8 boxes of lenses, a photo of the ORIGINAL receipt. AND writing a confirmation code onto the receipt AND mailing it to a PO BOX.Did I gat a $200 reward? NOPE! I MAY get a $50 Visa card.BYE BYE ACUVUE! NEVER AGAIN!And I'm selling all my shares of Johnson&Johnson.

Comfortable with great acuity
15 January 2023

I've worn Acuvue Moist Multifocals for over five years. They are so comfortable you don't know you are wearing them. I find my vision is much better with these contacts than with my glasses. Glasses were also starting to hit my cheeks and cause unwanted wrinkles. Other wearers have told me they have trouble removing ultrathin lenses at the end of the day, but a drop of pure moist rewetting solution helps free them up. Occasionally the lenses flip inside out within their sealed tray. You have to check to make sure they look like a dome, not a saucer before you put them in. Not always easy when you aren't wearing your glasses. From what I've heard at the eye doctor's office, multifocal contacts used to be problematic. These have been nothing but excellent.

I would not buy this product again
30 April 2022

They are my first set of multifocal lenses and I have been disappointed with them. They are fairly comfortable, but not that easy to handle.I find that my distance vision while wearing them is seriously compromised. I got them to wear while motorcycling and find that they do not give the required level of clarity to the point of being dangerous while wearing them for driving. This however may be due to the poor skill of the Vision Express practitioner rather than the lenses themselves, I don't believe that they assessed my vision very well prior to supplying these lenses. I will go back to Vision Express to have my fitting done again.

I've always had problems with
28 September 2022

I've always had problems with single vision contacts. I was amazed when I tried the multifocal lenses. They cleared up the blurred vision I was having closer to me. They feel great. I really can't tell I'm wearing them other than the improved vision. The prescription can get a little tricky if you have a different prescription for each eye but improvement in vision still makes it worth the switch.

Surprisingly comfortable and good range of focal distances
17 January 2023

Clearly really delivered where the optometrist didn't. The doctor inexplicably fitted me with monofocal lenses when I urgently needed to replace a ruined pair of glasses for an upcoming trip - useless and disorienting, especially considering I could not get other lenses or readers in time. I ordered the multifocal lenses so I might have functional sight, and Clearly delivered them breathtakingly fast so I even had a chance to try them out before my trip. I haven't worn contacts in about 20 years because they were unwearable within half an hour, but these serve nearly as well as my progressive glasses and I can comfortably wear them for at least 8 hours with no discomfort or residual irritation. It will be such an improvement for rainy days and to wear cycling. ... MoreClearly really delivered where the optometrist didn't. comfortable and long lasting
11 July 2022

I love the convenience of daily wear contacts. But I tend to have very long days and few brands are able to last for sometimes more than my 12 hour days. Acuvue moist is the exception. The can last well past that time. They are slightly bigger than other contacts I have used. It takes a few extra seconds to put them in. But those extra seconds are worth it for the comfort and convenience. Highl;y recommended.
