Excellent Kettlebell
8 March 2023

I purchased a set of two of these kettlebells several months ago and am very happy with the product. I own 3 different brands of kettlebell, and these are easily the highest quality. Sure they all do the same thing, but the small details make a big difference as far as joy and comfort are concerned: the textured surface provides excellent grip without tearing up your hands; the logo is flush with the outer surface so it is comfortable in a racked position (as opposed to protruding into your forearm); the color codings makes for quick identification, both of various weights but also finding a matching pair; the shipping box was sturdy and the kettlebell arrived in perfect shape - I can’t say the same for the other brands I have purchased. I highly recommend.

GREAT for swings and getups (Simple & Sinister!)
1 January 2022

Bottom line:Doing swings and getups with these kettlebells WILL make you stronger.I've included a pic of my signed and dated 'commitment chart,' which is a good trick for anyone looking to lower the will-power needed to stick with a program! This year I have purchased the following, and they are ALL SOLID:* 44lb (20kg) in February 2021, Rogue Kettlebell (NOT USA-made)* 53lb (24kg) in August 2021, Rogue Kettlebell - Powder Coat (USA-made)* 62lb (28kg) in October 2021, Rogue Kettlebell - Powder Coat (USA-made)* 70lb (32kg) today December 2021, Rogue Kettlebell - Powder Coat (USA-made)Thoughts on the Powder Coat:GREAT for swings and getups. The grip and chalk-holding is just right. I have never tried Rogue's E-Coat, but I can imagine for folks doing a ton of snatches that the smoother surface might be a little easier on the hands. One cosmetic issue:On the 28kg kettlebell, the person operating the bandsaw cut off a sliver of the handle when they were trimming the flash. Not any kind of problem for me, but might bother some.An aesthetic opportunity for buyers:I like having color on the bells, and I used to make models as a kid. Turns out the powder coat is a GREAT surface to paint with Testors enamel paint (can be found in every model / hobby store). The green and the yellow really pop. Check the pics to see what you think.A marketing opportunity for Rogue:Any chance Rogue would be willing to consider setting up a showroom & distribution center in a warehouse somewhere in the SF Bay Area? I would have gladly made a 45-minute drive to pick up the product in person and save something on shipping.Another thought:Any chance Rogue would be willing to consider setting up a way that your customers could pool their orders to save on shipping? Maybe folks with online accounts could opt in to be notified when others in their neighborhood place orders so that together they could ship via freight and save.Take away:I like having an option to buy USA-made products. I like the powder coat surface slightly more than what's on the standard (NOT USA-made) Rogue Kettlebell. My only gripe is the shipping cost. Finally, I can't wait to receive the USA-made 32kg kettlebell I just ordered, and I hope to be strong enough in about 10 weeks to order the 36kg!!

Good kettlebell, but rough to hands in 1-arm swing
13 March 2023

I have bought already a 20 kg, a 28 kg and a 32 kg Rogue powder kettlebells. And a 24kg e-coat kettlebell. A Rogue kettlebell is a great value for a quality equipment and I recommend. My 3-stars go to the powder kettlebells. In my 1-arm swings and snatches, the finishing is rough enough to hurt and take a little skin off of my hands after a couple of series of 10 swings/snatches. I would recommend and exchange all powder to e-coat if Rogue offered me to do so. Alla in all, the brand is great, quality is great, not adaptable to my hands though.

Good kettlebell, poor finish
18 April 2023

Been collecting these bells for about a year. Until recently, they've all been great. However, 2 of the last 4 bells I received showed up with a finish equivalent to 60-80 grit sandpaper. Any clean or snatch movements would tear up your arms after a handful of reps. Reported to Rogue customer support and was told the finish I described is considered in-spec. They also stated these bells are sourced from multiple vendors which is why the finish is different from bell to bell. I've since had to sand these bells down to make them usable. This is not the type of product, or customer support, I would expect from a company with Rogue's reputation. That being said, I don't consider it acceptable to be sanding and painting brand new kettlebells. For me, that means as I continue to add kettlebells to my gym, they will no longer be coming from Rogue.

Great kettlebells with small handles
19 June 2023

I usually use competition kettlebells but they get expensive as they go bigger and bigger. I was looking for a cheaper solution to go beyond the 40kg limit. I tried cheap kettlebells but the handles are very very big which makes kettlebells unsafe to perform (couldn't wrap my whole hand around it).The handles on the bigger Rogue kettlebells are just as thick as the 24kg ones, they make the handle slightly wider (which is good) and the ball a bit bigger. The only downside is that the range of motion of deadlifts is shorter due to the bigger ball but this is easily fixed by standing on a higher platform.I only got one minor complaint, 2 of the kettlebells had really small damages on the handle and on the ball. It wasn't that big of a deal and the bells get used ... MoreI usually use competition kettlebells but they get expensive as they go bigger and bigger. Meets Expectations / Timely Shipment and Delivery
23 May 2022

I've been using Rogue Kettlebells for about a year and a half now. Before that I had purchased a 35lb kettlebell from another company. That 35lb kettlebell was used indoors for the most part and was kept dry, but it developed a bit of rust and some chips off the black iron finish in only about a year. That other brand's kettlebell also had letters painted on it, which is only slightly concerning. It will probably still last a lifetime, but there is a risk the letters saying "35lb" will wear off. That's not a huge deal, I'm not getting kettlebells in increments of 5lbs so I can't say I'll ever be concerned I'll get confused between that one and my Rogue 53lb kettlebell. It could even turn into an advantage if some gullible friend sees that 35lber all rusted and ... MoreI've been using Rogue Kettlebells for about a year and a half now. That's not a huge deal, I'm not getting kettlebells in increments of 5lbs so I can't say I'll ever be concerned I'll get confused between that one and my Rogue 53lb kettlebell. It could even turn into an advantage if some gullible friend sees that 35lber all rusted and chipped and I can claim it was an antique I won in an arm wrestling match with a one eyed Russian bartender. I have both a 53lb and 77lb Rogue kettlebell at this point that I ordered separately about a year apart from each other. They meet my expectations. They are the weight they're advertised, they're a round ball with a handle, they are smooth without any casting burrs. My expectations aren't super high. I suppose if one of these kettlebells were to fall apart or something midlift that would be dissapointing, but it's a cast iron ball with a handle, how likely is that to ever happen? Not likely, but my Rogue kettlebells seem like I could use them as demolition tools and still be confident they'd maintain their integrity and function. I'm able to slide them around my faux wood floor without damaging it, which is a plus when I'm feeling lazy about picking them up to reposition them between lifts in my living room. Unlike the other brand's kettlebell, my Rogue kettlebells do not have paint on lettering, it is engraved or cast that way. Even if I left it out in the rain and it developed significant rust, I could probably find and read the markings. The finish is holding up much better than the other brand kettlebell. I haven't seen any rust or chipping on either of the Rogue kettlebells. Living in Tennessee, its fairly humid, so I wasn't surprised when the other brand developed a bit of rust. It has been nice to not see that on my investments in Rogue Kettlebells. I don't think you'll be disappointed if you buy a Rogue kettlebell, but I think you might be thrilled with the prompt shipment and delivery of their products. Each time I ordered from Rogue they got the kettlebell out for shipment within 24hrs. I think it was almost immediately for both, but I don't have that great of a memory. The best part was not having to wait a ton of time for my weights to arrive. I usually procrastinate to buy things, so I was well beyond needing to move up in weight for my programming by the time I even ordered. So it was nice to not need to delay my progression further. All in all, it's really difficult to be disappointed with any kettlebell, and i certainly wasn't disappointed by the rogue kettlebells. Dasvidania, comrades.

My urethane coated babies!

Absolutely love these. Only 2 issues but not enough to take a star away. 1, why no 62 lb version (or 18lb) ? I had to buy the non coated versions to make a full set. 2. Yucky smell but take rubbing alcohol and wipe a few times until paper towels come up clean. Smell gone unless you put your nose up to it so not bad.On the garage floor it would be better moisture resistance wise to own these vs cast iron. Walking past with wet shoes really isn't a concern with this version of kettlebells. Only the handles are bare and they should never really scuff. When re-racking weights is when most damage occurs. These actually bounce when smacked together with no visible damage don't ask me how I know that ;-)Lastly that amazing grip the urethane affords! I do chest presses ... MoreAbsolutely love these.
