Have been using it for a couple of time.....loving it!! My own experience is that it doesn't take much time to break in. It's steady and provide sufficient support. Superb product with high quality leather, which i enjoy the smell a lot, at a very good price, highly recommend it.
I was contemplating between SBD belt and this belt. I chose this belt after much consideration. Its an extremely well made belt. Good support. Glad I made the choice!
The Hellraiser belt is solid, it's heavy and thick, neat stitching, layers of full grain leather which have been tanned beautifully. The underside is soft, and with some breaking in will be quite comfortable. The fit is fairly tight, according to my measurements I should be using some of the first holes, but I have loosened it to some of the last holes. I like to fill up a big, 360 degree breath and really expand my belly to push out into the belt. Perhaps the sizing is for less inflated abdominal blocks? In any case, the belt sizing will give me some incentive to not bulk too much.I combined this belt with the Onyx black lever from Irontanks, which is also great, smooth operation and solid construction. The Iron Tanks 13mm belt is sturdy! It took some time for me to adjust to it as I had always used pathetic thin belts. It definitely helped me a lot on heavy squats. Hit a deadlift and squat PR using this belt. Highly sure you buy the right size belt. I got the small size and it fits me in the last hole. A medium size would be best !
man, u can't get better than this belt. Almost zero wear-in time, no bruising, no sharp pain. Hole spacing is perfectly designed with a nice 'flap' that keeps loose or even tight settings comfortable. Currently playing with a looser setting then I used on my buckle belts, and can confidently say with proper bracing the stability created within the belt is second to none. Go this belt paired with the brushed steel lever, although heavy, the security you will feel will see lifts skyrocket. Am planning on using this and all other iron tank equipment in the coming competition year.
