It is heavier than the MacBook Air but I like it with a bit of weight/durability. I don’t know why people don’t like the Touch Bar, but I absolutely love it and use it all the time! Also I’m a tab hoarder so I have millions of tabs open and the computer doesn’t crash at all. The resolution and quality is absolutely beautiful! The battery life initially is super long like maybe 20+ hours but I’ve had mine for a few years and while the battery life is still good, just like any tech device the battery life does go down but not significantly. Now my computer life at 100% charge lasts about 10+ hours and that’s with me having so many apps and tabs open. My favorite feature is the weight and the Touch Bar ID the 512 gb storage!! A WHOLE YEAR NIGHTMARE! the product and apple support

After some use, it started to über overheat, until one day it did not turn on. Random errors with several apps such as Safari, MS Office, and Adobe, no error message received. SEVERAL HW problems, screen random lines, keyboard malfunction, touch not working properly, impossible to follow up, frozen computer (yes, the button reset needed). I had the motherboard changed twice, and other components as well. Support from Apple ignores the recurrence of the same problems, the advanced support does not contact the store, they keep doing the same basic actions, SO reinstall, hw test, they keep saying it is all independent events even it is the same sequence of events over and over again. Tek Replay is amazing! I bought one macbook pro for my neice going in to nursing school. when it arrived it was such a nice refurbished macbook pro that i had to buy me one. so i bought two!!! The macbooks come like brand new for 70% off the original price. your literally getting a $4,000 macbook from 2019-2020 for around $700 or $800. There is no reason to buy a new macbook when you can buy refurbished. also Tek Replay has very good customer service and they actually answer their phone unlike other companies. I definitely recommend Tek Replay and their products!

I spent a total of over 1600 on what was supposed to be a MacBook Pro that looks and functions as if new. In fact, the seller wrote the device "may or may not have minor cosmetic defects, blemishes, dents, scratches when held approximately 12 inches away or less."Well, beyond the scuffs and scratches which are clear from across the room, they removed multiple stickers the prior user put on, and it has left a permanent marking for each (approximately 3 inches by 4 inches each). The imprint is so clear, you can read the word Honolulu in big letters from at least 20 feet away. I wrote the seller this, and their response was rather insulting. Ordered this macbook pro and it came with a charger cord that was melted at one end and bent. The laptop was dropped at some point in its life and scratched and dented. Called customer service and was told to take it to the nearest best buy store to exchange the charger and have the laptop inspected. That was a waste of time. The store did not want to replace the charger cord and just looked at the laptop and said it is what it is "refurbished" . Then was told by the manager that the quality of the products in certified refurbished category has gone down hill and thats why they don't post pictures of the actual product and you never know what you are going to get. There was still some sticker residue on the laptop and the charger brick that I had to remove with wipes. I don't know if it was from the UPS shipping packaging. No big deal though.The reason I chose this specific model was because it was an Intel MBP and I love the ability of running windows through bootcamp. It's like having two laptops in one. The laptop works exactly as I needed it and with no scratches or dents or anything noticeable. That is a big plus for me since I am very nit picky and I truly try to take care of my devices. I got sent a nice laptop that works fine but it came with a faulty non-Apple charger that stopped working after day 1. After meeting with Geek Squad and Apple care, i learned that Best Buy is not an “official” reseller of refurbished MacBooks. Therefore, Apple cannot replace the parts since it wasn’t purchased directly from Apple. Best Buy uses a 3rd party for part replacements and they also do not replace Apple products/parts. So despite having a warranty and AppleCare, i have to buy a $100+ charger. So while you may save money overall compared to buying directly from Apple, it is a bit of a gamble as Best Buy does not screen products as thoroughly as Apple does. So you may spend more money down the line. Luckily the actual laptop itself works fine. I've been stuck in a loop of signing into the MacBook Pro, it asking me to change startup disk or continue, then it reboots. No matter what I choose, the loop continues. Geek Squad online didn't even ask me to try anything, they immediately told me to go into a BB store. So I went to BB store to see Geek Squad in person and they were NO help. I told them what the loop was, and after one sign-in and reboot, they said "oh, it should be ok now," even though I explained that this has been happening and is a part of the loop. So, no, it wasn't ok, and the loop continues. They told me to contact Apple. Apple online and phone support at least had me try different things, but the computer still won't get out of this loop. I love this MacBook.I’ve had one for a long time, but it got destroyed in a flood.I purchased this one to replace it.I was adamant on getting the same one I had before, because I just love it that much.They don’t even make this model anymore, and they only made so many of these before discontinuing it, so I’m really happy and thankful that I was able to get it again.The staff at the store was beyond accommodating in helping me locate it and place the order to have it delivered, and I am beyond grateful.It’s refurbished, and I don’t usually buy things refurbished… so that’s a bummer.However, it’s in perfect condition.You would never even know it’s refurbished with how great it looks and functions.
