This is the second Cordless 20cm Compact Chainsaw I have bought. I bought one for my son last year and he is very happy with it. I borrowed it from him a couple of times and decided to buy one for myself. I am slowly building my Ryobi collection I have the Cordless 20cm Compact Chainsaw. hammer drill. Jig saw. Hedge trimmer. 3 batteries and 2 charges.I fully recommend the Ryobi Tool.

Easy to assemble, read the safety information and away you go. Advisable to buy another battery if you don’t have one or don’t have other Ryobi tools. The saw has the ability and quality that you would expect from Ryobi. An excellent addition to your toolbox. A carrying case or bag would be a nice addition.

Anyone would think, a chainsaw powered by an 18v would be hard pressed to cut a 10mm branch, not true, i was surprised how resiliant it was cutting through logs. There was NO motor whinning in a struggle to defeat the lumber. I can recommend its cutting ability and its robust action. My only criticisms is two fold, lubrication is applied via a separate bottle, there could have been a reservoir on the tool and it has no gripper teeth to guide the chainsaw down the log, despite the gripper it managed very well.

I chose this product becaus it fills a gap between full size petrol chainsaws and the smaller single handed cordless pruners which have recently come on to the market. It's simple to use and feels safer than a petrol chainsaw but the 200mm bar is still big enough and powerful enough to deal with quite big logs and branches. It's small enough and light enough to use in tight corners but still gets the job done. Very pleased with the performance it offers at a price which is comparable with much smaller single haned pruners.

This is the perfect size for pruning trees such as hazel, with congested branches, as the blade is small enough to get into small places but large enough and powerful enough to cut through diameters of 10cm and more with ease. It made a job that I'd otherwise have found difficult and time-consuming very quick and easy.The machine is solid and simple to use, though the initial assembly was not the easiest as locating the lugs while securing the chain cover wasn't the most straightforward process and rather frustrating. Happily I shouldn't have to remove it too often...

Purchased things for my Mother, she needed a lightweight leaf blower and this was excellent! She was really pleased with it, light but powerful. Swapped the battery to a lighter one than the one that it came with but still runs for enough time to clear what she wants to. Highly recommend.

Excellent handy small chainsaw. I do a lot of chainsaw work in my woods. I find this ideal for small branches to cut for kindling when I can’t be bothered to start up Goliath!Don’t ever think you can cut trees down with it! It’s designed for small branches and wood of a rough diameter around 5 inches or Less.

Purchased as primary element of a pre-Xmas deal and has yet to be used due to inclement weather but usual impeccable Ryobi design promises good outcome. Especially appreciated the tool pocket in handle and dual function screwdriver+spanner; the every 3-minute lubrication of the chain may prove an irritation - we'll see, but a used-up hand-soap container rescued from the refuse will dispense chain-oil in a controllable manner , avoid spills and seals when not in use.

Great value, perfect for small jobs. Cuts 4” branches with a bit of effort. Battery suppled was only 2.5Ah so wouldn’t last too long but I’ve got several Ryobi tools so have spare batteries. Would recommend all my Ryobi products.

Very handy tool saved me pulling out large chain saw for a small 2minute jobs. Prune small branches logs easily cut posts, sarkin in a zip. Only issue no chain brake but chain will stop immediately when safety switch and throttle disengaged. There is no constant oil flow to the chain so great care to be taken here lubricant is important for the chain so check regularly keep usage for small jobs. Always wear protective equipment.
