The 2XU Compression Calf Guards are strategically designed to be exceptionally effective for the containment of the calf muscle when training and competing. Repeated muscle vibration is directly related to causing fatigue, muscle damage and shin splints. A versatile item that allows athletes to use their preferred sock and can also be worn under a wetsuit making transition times faster during triathlon.

Bought purely for recovery purposes and they work. Wearing them post long runs for recovery I would find my calves not sore at all the next day. Also wore during runs for compaction and they’re comfortable.

I pronate which has caused a lot of shin pain (splints) when I run. I have expensive orthotics and they work very well. These shin guards definitely reduce the trauma from high impact exercise. I leave them on in the shower (rinse them thoroughly, of course) for about two hours after a run. They cool down the lower legs and reduce shin pain significantly. They are a bit expensive but I would recommend them.

Bottom band - will not last. The compression is firm - good. The top band - pulls around the ankle okay, obviously as it is larger. The bottom band, which needs to be snug to your leg just above the ankle needs to be quite small. This band has very limited stretch and when you pull it around the ankle during fitting it creaks due to over stretching. I believe it will not make 12 months with wearing them weekly. Could be fixed by making the band with a firm elastic . I have only warn half a dozen times and it sounds like it is ripping every time.BTW - shoo assistance measured my calf and provided the right fitted article.

I’ve used them only once since I’ve purchased them. They fit well with my low running socks. I would expect the material to be more like an actual sock but they are really a sleeve. Also the length is just, it would have be more interesting to be able to stretch them a little.
Holds very well does what it's supposed to : having better circulation and putting pressure to keep the muscle loose.I'd only suggest being extra careful when putting them on to avoid damaging the stiches on both ends. I can hear them "forcing" each time, so hopefully this doesn't become a problem. On the other hand, I do believe this is to be expected when dealing with an item of this nature.I can't vouch for the reflective factor in the back as I've only worn them underneath another layer but it looks legit.
Does a great job keeping everything in place, really helps with my shin splints, especially on longer runs. I can feel it when I forget to put them on. Unfortunately, they don't last forever, they need to be replaced every couple months, but still the best product on the market, I tried other brands, but always come back to 2XU.
My friends play professionally and they always recommend me to get one of these. I’ve used this my last week game and it was amazing, felt tucked and my calves and shin’s were loose like I was 10yrs younger. Best part is it didn’t even roll down after all the beating from the game.I don’t have problem with it but my friend did mention that it would’ve been nicer if it could wrapped around the calves and shins only but length wise not far down to the ankles
I had a pair of the compression calf guards back in 2015 when I ran track. I have been using them since! However, a couple of accidental runs in the dryer made the design in the back gooey and kind of nasty. I reordered a pair and they are a bit smaller than I remember, but I’m sure they will stretch out in time. These help with shin splints and make my calves feel so good when I run! Love them.
The quality of these aren't great (e.g. Stitching and materials) - I had to go through a few packets to find one without broken stitching. Support-wise they are ok I guess. If you have torn/injured your calf these are not what you need. You can get a better quality, higher support brace from most chemists. These are for long-distance running. You'll find better ones online on dedicated running websites.
They do the job but, as with most calf sleeves, are waay overpriced for small tube of lycra. I found these ones the bands at the top and bottom are quite narrow so can be a little less comfortable than my skins ones.
