Ellie is a new evolution of universal L-Bracket, bringing users increased compatibility with a wider range of cameras, and advanced functionality. L-Brackets are primarily used to switch from landscape to portrait on a tripod whilst maintaining the focal plane and horizon. Ellie PD is specifically designed to work with the Peak Design Capture Clip system (Capture V3 only). It features a standard Arca Swiss compatible footing that clips securely into the Capture. Compatible with standard Arca-Swiss clamps, Ellie features two different 2 screw mount slots in the base. This allows users to position the L-Bracket in the optimal position for their camera. The length of the bracket base can be adjusted thanks to two rigid stainless steel sliding bars which are then fixed into position by the user with the supplied tool. The rear edge of the base is sloped to better enable screen access. The vertical aspect has an opening in one side, allowing users with L-shaped cable pins to connect accessories. This opening can be placed in one of four positions by inverting or reversing the vertical aspect.

I am using this bracket on a Fuji GFX100s and it's fine. I was concerned that the vertical arm of the bracket may foul any inputs on the side of the body, but that's no problem. If you're working tethered or charging the battery with the c type connection there's enough room to leave the little fap ajar for access or simply adjust the vertical arm out, connect up and secure it back in place... easy. And it's clear of the strap attachment. It's a very well engineered accessory and will be kept on the body permanently. I would highly recommend it.

A good quality L Plate that is very customisable. Fits neatly and firmly on my Nikon D7500. You have to move your left neck strap connector to the L Plate for it to fit correctly. My previous plate would come loose and was slightly too thick for the tripod mount making it difficult, but this one doesn't shift and clamps easily into my tripod which makes life easier when out taking landscape photos.

This thing is a must for panoramas. I use it with my Sony a7iii and peak design tripod. The L-Bracket fits with no issues. It also works on the quick capture proc clip for peak design. The short Bracket is a nice touch with being shorter than the regular length Bracket. Highly recommend this and having the ability to adjust the bracket to fit most cameras is a plus. So you don't need to buy multiple brackets.

I recently purchased an OM1 and the old l bracket for my omd1 mk2 would not fit. So after some research I decided to buy a three legged thing ellie short. Fully adjustable and well made fits my OM1 a treat.I would highly recommend it.
I recently got an OM1 from wex and needed a L bracket that would fit but not impede the battery door. I still have my omd1 mk2 which has got a third party L bracket but it won't fit my OM1 this 3 legged thing ellie short is a perfect fit and a great price from wex delivered promptly as usual I highly recommend wex.
Its a fair product. But not cheap for what it is.Its not easy to get to the ports when closed up but it is if you adjust it but then it does make the camera very wide or tall depending on its orientation. I would have preferred it to be black and not a shiny look at me colour.
Works as expected though the one frustrating detail is that I can fully use the articulating screen. It's probably hard to design a universal bracket that can do that for every camera model but it's still a little disappointing. Not a dealbreaker though because it's still a good product!
I chose this product primarily because of the integrated PD capture clip-compatible base. For a "universal" accessory, it fits pretty well on a D780, but the microphone port is completely blocked and the other port doors are nearly impossible to open with bare hands when the bracket is installed. It works as one would expect an L-bracket to function, and particularly with the Manfrotto quick-release Arca Swiss adapter I use on my tripod. So far, it remains securely attached to the camera body with no indication that it's coming loose any time soon. An added bonus is that I can attach my camera strap a short distance from the capture clip base (rather than directly to the base as I had previously), which helps avoid the occasional issue inserting the base into the ... MoreI chose this product primarily because of the integrated PD capture clip-compatible base. My copy is not what I would describe as "metallic slate gray". It has a definite green tint, which is disappointing.
Candidly not sure who to ding a star from here, but mine arrived with one of both of the little screws which holds the longer adjusting screws stripped - so I'm guessing I got one that was either previously returned or defective.I had one such little screw laying around so I was able to replace it, and now it works well enough; just ever so slightly not as tight on my Canon EOSR as I'd like.It just barely fits around the door in which I access the USB-C port but it works.Apart from that, pairs super nicely with my PD Capture and travel tripod, so all good there!Seems very well-made apart for the issues I got with mine- so I'm sure very likely you'd be well-off and having nothing to worry about.
I've owned a few L-brackets, my first was a Kirk that was bought second hand and a specific fit to my Canon 5D Mark II. Thankfully I bought it for a reasonable price as they are extortionate when bought new.I then changed cameras and needed a different L-bracket so I bought a Smallrig one as it was significantly less expensive than the Kirk. However I had a lot of grief with that as the rails that clamp to the tripod head were a bit larger and was a right fiddle when placing and removing. I stupidly tried to replace with a cheap version but had the exact same issue.I've also thought of buying a Peak Designs Capture Clip to have the camera on hand when walking about but couldn't use one because of the L-bracket. I come across the Ellie PD and it is genius! The ... MoreI've owned a few L-brackets, my first was a Kirk that was bought second hand and a specific fit to my Canon 5D Mark II. I come across the Ellie PD and it is genius! The rails are the perfect size so it clicks into my ballhead and I can also fit it in to the PD clip and being a is a universal fit will hopefully mean that I will never need to buy another. I was concerned that it would move about on the camera as it is universal and relies on friction with the bottom of the camera but it sticks like poop to a blanket and hasn't let me down yet.Other good features are its low weight - I thought that they forgot to put one in the box when I had it as it was so light. The only downside is that it isn't cheap but it is really innovative and Three Legged Thing should be applauded for collaborating with another manufacturer.
