After buying this 3 qt. sauce pan I knew the Tramontina cookware set was next. This stainless steel pan is like no other I have ever had in 50+ years at the stove. It is exceptional. You can see why chefs use it. Note: because it's so well made & efficient never cook on high. It will burn your food & scorch the pan. The pan heats up quickly & holds the heat for a long time. It's an amazing piece of cookware. Highly recommend this and all of the tri-ply stainless steel Tramontina gourmet cookware.

This is a great pot except for two things: the handle and the straight sides. I haven’t yet figured out how to pour from the pot without making a mess (even when using a rod like the internets recommends), and the handle *looks ergonomic, but is a little too thin and square to hold comfortably and/or pour with, especially with the weight of the pot and the contents inside. The pot itself is heavy, very well-made, heats quickly, cleans up nicely with baking soda and a citrus-based cleaner or Barkeeper’s Friend, and the lid fits tightly. The overall quality is outstanding for the price. But I’m thinking about giving mine away after a year of trying to make it work.

We bought the pieces separately because none of the sets quite fit our needs. We cook A TON! I make three full meals a day and cook everything from scratch. I even make my own sauces, breads, jellies, pickles, etc. We run a ranch and frequently have a lot of mouths to feed. These pots and pans have been phenomenal! I’m very happy with the even heating and heat retention. Also, the weight, shape, and size are perfect for working the pans, tossing and flipping food.

I have always wanted a really good quality cooking set. Last year I purchased a complete set of these pans to go along with my newly remolded kitchen. They are a beautiful addition and work wonderfully. I use these pans nearly everyday, and wanted to supplement my set with an additional 3 quart pan - which is a super handy size in the kitchen. I was truly delighted to find out that I could order just this one extra pan, as opposed to another entire set. Perfect! I love it!
I looked at a lot of pots and pans in every price range and these Tramontina Gourmet sauce pans won over my choice. They're very well made, durable, heavy duty, and the long handle is a fantastic design. I bought this 1.5 qt pan specifically to cook rice in and for making gravies. I'm more than happy with how well my rice cooks in this pan, I'm downright delighted. I'll be replacing all of my old pans with Tramontina over the next few months.
After many years (and many $) of replacing my non-stick pans after only 2-3 years of careful use, I am transitioning to stainless. It is at the point now where no matter what you find or how much you pay, all those Chinese non-stick pans are the same. Aluminum is not a good material to cook with. My trusty stainless pressure cooker has lasted almost 20 years with no end in sight. Yes, it requires more effort to clean - but I can use scrubbers and even Barkeepers Friend without fear of damage. In the end stainless costs less, and it is what the professionals use.Stainless cooks better too - this pan heats more evenly, and I am less likely to burn stuff when in a hurry. Bravissimo!
I just cannot say enough good things about the Tramontina Tri-Ply Clad line! I started my collection with the 1.5 Qt but have recently added both the 2 Qt and this 3 Qt, along with pans and stock pots. Absolute workhorses in my kitchen now. I love the heft, the elegant, ergonomic handles, not needing to blast everything on high heat (cost savings), and the easy clean-up (I gently simmer water to remove anything stuck on in the saute pans, liquid Barkeepers Friend to easily remove any heat marks and to keep them looking shiny and beautiful). I use only wooden or silicone utensils. These beautiful pots and pans are worth the little bit of extra care. Worth every penny!
The instructions say that to boil only use low to medium heat. That means you have to wait much longer than I want to in order to begin cooking. The instructions also say that cooking at a higher heat could cause discoloration...and it does. For the money, I would like a pot that heats faster and does not discolor.
I love the 100% stainless throughout. It is by far less harmful cooking with these pots and pans and the quality holds up better than the other more expensive brands we've utilized. (We actually donated every one and replaced them all with this brand!) My wife sauté's a variety of foods, and we never have any problems with sticking, staining or burning.
