These tactical shorts are probably the best shorts I have ever purchased. They are very well made and look like they will last for a long time. They are very comfortable and fit perfectly to the size I ordered. I love the metal snap button and the metal zipper. Great selection of colors and I ordered one of each (7 total). The only negative issue that I could possibly mention would be the cost. That being said, you get what you pay for. I would have no problem at all purchasing these shorts again. I would highly recommend these shorts for tactical use or casual everyday use.

These shorts used to be roomy, just as flexible and the waistband was way more comfortable and stretchy. Now it barely moves with you. I used to be able to do full functional movement with these shorts. They feel much more restrictive and cost way more. So disappointed. I absolutely love my old Stryke shorts. I love the 11â length.

I really like these shorts, because they are incredibly well built. But I do have one word of caution. The short Stryke pants seem to "fit small," and the construction is SO SOLID that it seems there is very little "give" in the pant. For me, what this means is that when I'm doing construction work, and I sit on the ground, and stand up 50 times a day the pants kind of bind a bit. Also I find that I get more "chaffing" in hot weather. Thick construction = more sweat, little flexion = rubbing. All that adds up to significant chaffing by the end of a 10 hour construction day. I mitigate this a little bit by purchasing the shorts one size larger.

Great Shorts. Comfortable not too many pockets. They are true to size fit. I wish there was a little more of a âstretchâ or elasticity in the waist. They seem very durable but I guess time will tell. I Iâve in south Florida where it never drops below 70 usually year round and itâs very humid. They are pricey but I believe they are worth it. I basically got one of each color so I can mix and match. Will have to compare them to other comparable brand shorts but these seem to do it all.
Love the shorts. Just wish that they had the flex waist band in them like the pants. I mainly use the when I officiate high school and college track and field meets and they are great for holding things like rule books, cell phone, snacks, and even a bottle or can drink. Very flexible for bending down to measure. And as a starter, they have room to hold my starting shells and also the empties, albeit in a plastic bag.
The shorts are nice but they lack the self adjusting tunnel waistband which the pants have. These make the pants ideal so they can expand after eating a bunch of salty BBQ or sticking âstuffâ in the waistband, and itâs partially my fault for purchasing these thinking these were just basically short versions of the pant and not reading all the bullet points. I guess Iâll make cut offs like I had been doing and just order the pants to replace the ones I turn into cutoffs since they are pretty much the same price, but it would have been awesome to just buy shorts that are like the pants for this hot Summer weather and wear them without frayed knees for nicer outings and work.
I write this review begrudgingly, and i really donât know how many stars to give these shorts. I have owned many pairs of Stryke pants over the years and continue to still wear them daily. I purchased my first pair of shorts this week. I walked into a 5.11 store, grabbed a pair in my size and didnât really inspect them until I got home. Typically, shorts are just pants that are a few inches shorter than the equivalent pair of pants, and the price reflects as much. These shorts are missing massive features that the pants have - knee pad pockets (understandably), the over engineered belt loops adjacent to the fly, and most importantly - the elastic waistband. Because I carry IWB, I have to return this pair and go up a size because of the omitted stretching waistband. ... MoreI write this review begrudgingly, and i really donât know how many stars to give these shorts. These shorts should be significantly cheaper than they are as they are missing features that take a lot of time and material to manufacture that are featured in the pants.Pros - same fabric, same exact pocket layout, and color choices.
Pockets are phenomenal! Perfect fit for my phone in the front pockets. Enough room for my concealed carry and other tools. No ripping due to heavy duty use and tools. Flexible enough for constant movement and all angles. Able to get to all items quickly and efficiently. It even resisted blood staining!!! Thoroughly happy with these shorts. The only drawback was the price, but if they last ( which the pant version of these shorts has lasted well over a year) - they will be well worth it!
Great shorts once you find a pair that are actually the size they say they are. I was incredibly annoyed at the inept quality control in terms of keeping the sizing consistent from pair to pair. The employees at the store told me there are multiple factories overseas that make these shorts, and each one makes their sizing a bit different. When I was in store, there was a 1.5" difference in the waist between two exact same pairs of 32x30 shorts. If I'm paying "Made in the USA" prices for "made overseas" clothing, I'd at least expect to have them be the correct size.Having to return multiple pairs to the stores only to find them not have it in stock is ridiculous. It's an absolute waste of my time and money to have to pay for shipping from your online store as well ... MoreGreat shorts once you find a pair that are actually the size they say they are. Can you not afford someone to travel between both factories to make sure they are keeping the sizing correct? Is it that hard to have two different factories make their clothes the same size? If I can buy clothes from a dozen other companies and they are able to keep the waist line the same, you'd think your two different factories from the same company would be able to achieve that. Do better 511..
The first thing you should know is that these are not a short version of the Stryke pants! I wear the pants everyday in size 30 and theyâre awesome. I bought the pants and realized they do not have the adaptive tunnel in the waist. These are a fixed waist short and the 30 was way too tight so the waists run small. They have other shorts that have that comfort tunnel in the waist but then they give up either the awesome pocket layout or the material of the stryke pants.Whay in the world wouldnât they make the âstryke shortsâ an identical but shorter version, of the oants with the same name?
