I bought these blades based on positive reviews all over the internet. They were right. After trying several different brands of blades, I have found these to be the most effective blades. I have an Edwin Jagger razor that I used to dislike but I gave it a try using a feather blade and, oh what a difference! the razor came to life and gave me a stellar shave. I also have a Pearl open comb, and paired with a feather blade could shave several days growth with zero hassle (could probably cut my front yard lawn for that matter). But, before you buy, be aware that these blades are very sharp, load your razor and shave with care. I was very disrespectful when removing this blade for the first time and I almost cut my thumb in half. Happy shavings, Luis L. in Tucson Arizona

Researched and saw these were given high ratings on every review. The quality from Japan is always excellent. I have a hair razor by Feather which is super sharp and made really well so I decided to try these as I moved to double edge safety razor shaving to lessen plastic waste on our earth...these are definitely very sharp and I find they last longer then the other brand I tried....so far so good but I'm not surprised as they again are Japanese quality done with the utmost care. The adhesive on the packaging of each blade is a bit of a drag, but dissolves it seems in one use...just have to wipe the razor head as I found it gathered there...might be another way they can do that....but not a deal breaker....noticed pricing went up since I bought them so I will shop ... MoreResearched and saw these were given high ratings on every review. These are known for being the sharpest double edge blades made and they do not disappoint. The level of comfort is dependent on the particular razor used, and I pair these with a milder shaver, although some have no problem using them in a more aggressive type. The number of shaves you can get depend on your beard type and growth, but I only use any blade three or four times at the most. They are more expensive than most other brands but are worth it in my mind, although I also use others in various razors.Highly recommended by me.

While I don't use the old double edge safety razor all the time, it has it's advantages. I had tried a couple brand, variety packages of blades, the Feather brand, surfaces as the best IMO.
I prefer sharp blades in my Henson AL13 Mild for head shaving. The Feather blades do not disappoint! Excellent performance and smooth. The only downside is the price of Feather blades compared to other brands. However, I bought two 100pks because these were a very good deal compared to prices I've seen elsewhere.
My top choice for my standard closed comb razor. They are flexible and sharp. Ive tried many brands and will stick with these. They have a great reputation. Now I did try them with my open comb razor and they didnt work as well with it. That type of razor might need a stiffer blade. So I use a different brand with the open comb razor.
Ive used Feather brand blades before with excellent results. Which is why I ordered these. But I am not getting the same results and these new blades are the only change in my shaving regimen. Blades dont appear to be as sharp or as functional. I use to get an incredible, clean, close shave on the first pass with no nicks that was long lasting. I now get just the opposite and thats with a new blade. Disappointing.
So sharp, I had to buy adjustable razor. Many cuts, dripping blood. So, I use it once a week to heal my face. Very close shave. Short strokes, light pressure and must have correct angle. I have to concentrate hard and take a deep breath. Avoid non smooth areas. Then, use a normal razor with more suds to get ill shaved hairs and 6 days without Feather after that. Must shave twice on Day 1. Face us healed in 7 days. I use Harry's, cheap and German blades at Target.
If you are a safety razor user, these are pretty much the state-of-the-art blade for your razor. Super sharp, but they do require a little skill. Not for the beginner however.
These blades are top of the line. When I received them I noticed these blades are more than good. I used them with my maggard 3 razor and they were just too much. I looked like I had just gotten out of a slaughter house and taken a blood bath. When I used them in my Edwin Jagger they worked just great, I got a smooth shave and only needed two pases; despite the fact having a very corse and heavy beard. These blades are too sharp for some people. These are not very recommendable if you have sensitive skin and can be too much for some wet shavers. This due to their level of sharpness. I was extremely careful the first time I used them because of their reputation. I was extremely careful the first time I used them because of their reputation. Now I know you have to be careful using any type of blade while wet shaving but using these is just the same as using any other. If you are not careful any blade can slice you. These dont hold the edge as long as others, Im sure it has to do with their sharpness. I researched about this matter and experts say the sharper the blade, the faster it will dull. Just get a good soap or shaving cream and if you dont have sentive skin and you should be fine.
