For some reason, my Samsung 860 (SATA SSD) performed better for a few games with less stutters than this SSD. But still prefer this since the file transfer speeds are better.The WD website is also poor and not user friendly therefore I'm not willing to browse to look for firmware updates.

I rebooted the system and it was lighting fast. The games loaded so quick and we love it! It provides extra storage for the PC also Thank you for allowing me to test out this product!

Both read and write speeds exceeded over 1000MBps when used with ASUS ROG Strix Arion enclosure. I tested this on both a MacBook Pro 14 with M3 Pro and ThinkPad P1 Gen 4 Windows PC. Runs cool as well. Perfect for a storage drive. 5-year warranty is icing on the cake. I would recommend this drive to anyone

As far as I can tell from reviews and my own use, this SN580 is basically just as fast as the previous generation WD Black SN770 drives, just for slightly less money.It's crazy how much flash memory fits into such tiny chips now, my 2TB drive basically has all of the flash within 1 single chip, which is insane. But it's working great!
Needed to clone from a full 128 GB SSD. Downloaded Acronis for WD, created a bootable USB, used an external enclosure for the full SSD (PC has only 1 slot for SSD), installed the new WD SSD and cloned from the old one. Took less than 5 minutes. Booted right up the first try. I still can't believe I didn't have any problems or troubleshooting to do afterwards!
I rely on reviews from reputable sources. I bought this NVMe SSD based on an extensive review from Tom's Hardware. They Noted: "This SSD does not disappoint. The WD Blue SN580 is the consummate budget NVMe SSD" It performs well enough with a fair range of capacities and solid support, making it a solid contender for our list of best SSDs."I couldn't agree more. WD makes a solid product. This SSD clocks at 2665 MB/sec write and 2831 MB/sec read on an external Orico USB-c enclosure on my system. That is fast enough that I don't realize that it is an external SSD. I could not be happier with this SSD
I am renovating a computer which died. I have replaced the motherboard which turned out to be the problem. The AIO Corsair had also had pump failure. In order to start from scratch needed a new SSD so went to Scan who have always been great and purchased the WD blue 2gb which had a price reduction so turned out to be a very good buy. It is now running windows 11 at a good speed. Very pleased with purchase ordered late afternoon, delivered next day. Cannot fault Scans superb service
