It's a fun game, but some of the rules are annoying. And the lack of options can be grating. For example, this game's version of Uno-called Last Card-only allows 4player games. So you're forced to use AIs if you dont have 4people. This is the same problem Ubisoft's Uno has, and its extremely grating. This pretty much affects any game with more than 2 players, and there is no absolutely no good reason for it aside from them not wanting to bother with the trouble of making it.The selection of games is pretty varied though, and some of the games are clearly knockoffs of their more widely known counterparts. They play essentially the same, with the only big exception I noticed is Dominoes. I grew up in a PR family, and we definitely DO NOT use the rules that are in ... MoreIt's a fun game, but some of the rules are annoying. But you might find yourself reaching for You Dont Know Jack collections later.

Love this game and all the different board games I played growing up as a kid. It has some games I've never even played before. It's fun and very helpful teaching you how to play all the games. It has different difficulties so you can advance your skills. I currently using this game to help my 6 year old son learn to play chess since I don't even know how to play it as well. It definitely helps him learn the game.

Usually when you see a game like this that has multiple games in one, its a low quality effort and poorly polished, however, this isn't the case here. Nintendo really made sure that this was polished and every game is well done. The game does a well job explaining the rules of the games and it does it in an interesting way. Rules are explained through little skits that can be skipped and there is always written rules for those who rather prefer that. There is a ton content here to keep you busy for many hours and playing with friends and family is where this game shines the most. You only need one copy of the game if you have multiple switches as there is an app on the e-store that will allow you to play a lot of the games. This game also has multiplayer, but I ... MoreUsually when you see a game like this that has multiple games in one, its a low quality effort and poorly polished, however, this isn't the case here. Clubhouse games gives you the ease and accessibility of bringing 50 card games and board games (plus 1 piano app) without having to pack all these board games and a deck of cards. This is a great way to keep a family entertained during a flight or a child entertained in a long car ride. For the home use docked on the TV, it makes little to no sense. The only advantage is having bigger cards if you have a TV, but you might as well put a deck of cards. With many of the card games on here, I found myself saying, "Well, it is a game," meaning the game worked but I had little to no value in replaying it. The board games felt like the cheap knock off versions because the game itself is not copyright, but the name you know it by is copyrighted. You'll play Yacht instead of Yahtzee and Last Card instead of Uno. Heck, Uno has a Switch game, so why not buy that? Many games from Wii Sports and Wii Play reappear on this game, but ironically, some of them lost the motion control support. More game should have come with the option of motion control or button control, which some games do. Overall, it's worth it because it costs $40. It wouldn't be worth it for $60.
51 Worldwide Games is a brilliant collection of some of the best (and in some cases oldest) games out there. From cards to dominoes and boards to balls, you’ll find a varied mix both familiar and fresh all wrapped in a wonderfully clean and polished package. Much like Animal Crossing: New Horizons, 51 Worldwide Games is another one of those releases that can be enjoyed by anyone be they a gamer or not. It may not have the earth-shaking excitement of a new Mario or Metroid backing it, but it certainly delivers on the fun. Do not pass on this delightful gem.
I pre-ordered this game the day I found out it was coming to Switch on a game card. The collection of 52 games (piano included technically isn't a game) is great and fun to play. There is a downloadable demo on the eShop that lets you play four games including dominos and connect four without owning the game, while enabling a game owner to play locally with up to three other Switch consoles not owning the game. The games range from basic like War up to Solitaire and even Bowling, so there is a range of skill just casual pickup and play games included. Bowling plays great, like an improved version of the Wii Sports game that offers great visuals and feel with the HD Rumble and a joy-con in hand. It even features little Nintendo nuances like being able to place the Switch console in portrait mode and have the screen adjust for that layout. Other games like slot cars let you have up to four consoles in a variety of layouts race against each other across multiple screens. Each of the games offer a lot of replay-ability as well as challenges to show off your mastery of each game. Whether you are looking to play a game alone, online, or locally in party mode with family or friends, this game is well worth picking up.
I purchased this game for my son and he loves it because of the variety of games. You can't get bore with so many options! There seems to be something for everyone. It is great to take on the plane or to keep busy while waiting somewhere because of the variety and some games are quick to play. The games are knockoffs of popular games such and Parcheesi and Uno, but just as fun. I will say that Parcheesi type one is impossible to win against the computer. You are continuously sent back to start and there really is no strategy. It is all luck and bad luck for human players. The rest are all pretty good as far as difficulty and ease of winning. Not too easy and not too hard.We have not tried playing online or against each other, so not sure how well that ... MoreI purchased this game for my son and he loves it because of the variety of games. Pros: It’s a very fun game (or I guess games). It’s helping me learn chess and has very smooth transitions when playing against someone. The card games work wonderfully and I’ve had the most fun playing them. It’s very visually pleasing and entertaining if it has what you like to play, every now and then.Cons: Strangely, there is very few game modes for multiplayer. There’s a substantial amount for 2 players, but very little for 3 and 4. I’m not sure why they couldn’t accommodate for more, especially in the card games, or even in “taking turns” with bowling. Basically, Ludo is the only game you can do as 4 player (though is very fun). This is a major oversight by Nintendo, and just makes the game feel strange as it’s about playing with others. This game is a blast. While the games are typical games you know and love like Blackjack, Dots and Boxes, Checkers, etc. there are a good handful in there that will be brand new to you.CONS:There is no lack of games and ways to play said games in here. The lack of 4 player support on some games, the in-ability to play some games that should be playable with 2 people in docked mode, and a few other nitpicky things are what really bug me. Aside from this, there are just a few other small things here and there that mainly apply to me, but overall it's far and in between.PROS:There is so much to do in this game. I have only had it for a week with me and my girlfriend and we cannot put it down. There are loads of games to play, tons of ways to customize the experience, and some. If you have any semblance of creativity then you can create your own rules for games too making it even more of an experience. The online capabilities is a nice touch as well if you want to either play with random people online, or any friends that have the game as well. If you are one to get this game solely as a way to just play classics with another or by yourself then this is the game for you.
Back in 2006, Nintendo released a gem of a title for the Nintendo DS. A very simple yet incredibly well done game that was a collection of many, many games: board, card, bar, etc - "Clubhouse Games." It quickly became a favorite between my friends and I. You were able to have just one game card and be able to download it on the other systems with up to 8 players depending on the game. We spent countless hours playing it, even well after it came out. In fact, it is still currently in my 3DS this very moment.Fast forward a decade-and-a-half and we finally have a follow-up in "Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics"... And I have mixed feelings. This is another solid collection (many of the games being the same), but the magic is missing. To be specific, the DS magic is what's missing. The DS "Clubhouse Games" was a party game at heart - something you could break out and have several people join in so long as they had a DS of their own. "Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics" is different in that it is not a party game... It feels as though it's really meant for just one or two players, with more players severely limiting play options - even if you have multiple game systems. Is it still fun? Yes, but a different kind of fun. If you were a fan of the original, just don't have too high of hopes.
