Great delivery Arrived in speedy time. Just one problem, I received a very soggy hydraulic fluid soaked package , not looking good. Anyway I proceeded to investigate the source of the fluid, it appears the rubber tube seal, under the pressure release valve (to raise or lower the ram) on the hydraulic ram. Wasn't seated correctly, so after reseating the seal, the problem seems to have gone, Although after construction (assembly instructions are very vague, with a little working out manageable). I now have a great bit of kit, looks good to, with which I hope works well, as I can't test it, the hydraulic ram had bled out it's hydraulic fluid. Will now have to fig out the fluid requirements . I'm hoping that all it needs is a hydraulic fluid fill and is good to go, and I won't have to go through the disheartening disassembly, after a crowning achievement. I recently purchased this press to replace bushes on my project car and found this press did the job with the help of some heat , I was pressing 45mm diameter bushes that were 0.03 mm oversize out of control arms and the press was at its limit with only 6ton , I was thinking 10ton would have been better, but anyway got the job done. So I would say it's a great little press that doesn't take up a lot of room and represents good value for the money , especially if you have some small job to do like I did replace 9 bushes and your local mechanics charge $10 per bush replacement , you get the job done and end up with a press in your garage for future jobs.
I used mine to press out the bearings on the front hubs of a volvo estate, one of which was badly affected by heat as it had partially ceased. This little machine managed to press it out with the persuasion of a bit of heat. The heat did not affect it at all. I have used it on several project now and wouldn't be without it. Small but very powerful and good materials used in its construction.
To small , doesn't press in straight , was bent and had to modify it to work
A good design but the assembly instructions probably hold back it potential with many I've been able to fix and replace all my bearings in my tools and straighten and bend steel up to 8mm so far it just requires know how and patience it is a Jack do the work
