I was super excited to try the Pepsi flavours when they were announced. I finally was able to try the product after I purchased it from my local Canadian Tire. Unfortunately, it does not taste anything like Pepsi. There is a very distinctive after taste, which may be the sweeteners used. The bite on the back is very medicine-like which we know the bottled version of Pepsi does not have. I tried with the recommended serving, and I also cut it back. Unfortunately, the aftertaste is still very much present. I am a big fan of the SodaStream product and I am a Pepsi drinker, my hope for a winning product may have been slightly elevated. With all that said, if you took the 'Pepsi' branding off the label, you would be left with a decent cola product. I wanted to be fair and balanced with this review and that is why it received a 3-star and not anything lower. It did not pass as a solid alternative for Pepsi, but it is not a terrible beverage. It is really sweet and you can taste the artificial sweeteners used. If that is your style, this might be OK for you.

Regular Pepsi doesn't include Sweeteners or Preservatives! Look at the ingredients. This stuff contains:Sugar, Water, Colour (E150d), Acids (Phosphoric Acid, Citric Acid), Acidity Regulator (Sodium Citrate), Sweeteners (Sucralose, Acesulfame K), Flavourings (contains Caffeine), Stabiliser (Gum Arabic), Preservative (Sodium Benzoate)Proper Regular Pepsi contains:Carbonated Water, Sugar, Colour (Caramel E150d), Acid (Phosphoric Acid), Flavourings (including Caffeine)The sweeteners make this taste different, I'm going to be sticking to the proper stuff that hasn't been cheapened by replacing some of the sugar with cheaper sweeteners in future.

I puchased this product specifically because I can't stand the taste of aspartame, sucralose and stevia, only to get a nasty shock. I don't understand how Pepsi (now the owner of Sodastream) can get away with passing this product off as normal Pepsi. Shame on you, Pepsi.

They took advantage of brand colouring to misdirect us to think there is no artificial sweetener. Yes, it says that there is artificial sweetener, but the colour of the wrapping, in normal bottles, means there is no artificial sweetener. I have an adverse reaction to artificial sweeteners. This was a very unpleasant surprise.
It has sweeteners in it, and Pepsi doesn't. There are other varieties of Pepsi like Diet and Max that have sweetener in them for those that want that, so why ruin the Regular one with them.Changing the proportions does not help, it is either too sweet when it has enough flavour or too watery when it is the right sweetness.I like Pepsi, but I don't like this or Pepsi Max or Diet Pepsi. People who like this would probably be just as happy with Pepsi Max, why ruin this for those that don't?
Back in the late 80’s and early 90’s you used to be able to buy large jugs if the legit brand named syrups here in Canada. Why can’t we anymore? I have to go down south and bring back legit syrups from Sams club to get anything that doesn’t taste like disgusting sweeteners for my Sodastream. How is Sodastream not aware of this problem that’s plaguing their product, and not doing anything about it? And don’t put your stupid canned message on here as a reply saying you are sorry to hear about it and suggest I called or contract a number…. The same message over and over just shows you don’t really care what people say…. Shape up Sodastream!!!
I hate the taste of the artificial sweeteners, so I was happy when I saw the Pepsi made a syrup to my SodaStream. But it was disappointing when I tasted. The ingredients not mentions what makes it sweet, but that clearly not (only) sugar. I'll never buy that again.
As one of the unlucky people who is left with an awful aftertaste with any sweetener, Pepsi is one of the few drinks I can still enjoy, so I was glad to see this. A way to save a little money and have a glass occasionally without having to pay through the nose for the cans. Imagine my disappointment on my first glass, being left with that dreadful taste I find so very hard to get rid of. I never thought to check the ingredients as Pepsi has always been 'safe' to drink but it has sucralose and acesulfame k. Very disappointed and a waste of money.
I was expecting these pepsi brand flavors to taste like the originals (store bought products), unfortunately they taste nothing like the bottled pepsi products. Very disappointed and I will not buy the pepsi sodastream products again until a change in flavoring is made. If it's not pepsi don't market it as pepsi (7up), call it something else.Just a thought, Is the taste of the sodastream pepsi products off because soda stream may dip into store bought pepsi product sales. So pepsi makes sodastream taste less like pepsi in order to ensure store bought sales don't dip. Otherwise I can't see any other reason why Pepsi wouldn't put out their actual pepsi brand syrups.Just a thought
Both my husband and I took one sip and dumped our pepsi down the drain. It contains artificial sweetener which overpowers everything. Very similar to drinking diet pop. Highly disappointing and feels somewhat deceptive from the packaging that gives the appearance you can make "pepsi" at home. This tastes nothing alike.
