This is what I needed: a high-capacity external drive that's completely silent and lightning fast. My previous mechanical drive proved inadequate to handle 4k video editing, with constant hang-ups. The Thunderblade works as fast as an internal drive.

This drive is lightening fast, easy to set up and confifgure, and works very well with several Mac computers. It is truly plug and play and belongs in any serious photographer's toolkit, assuming that they have many images to store and retrieve. I have more than 60,000, mamy of them from 100 MP camera gear, so....
