Im so glad i purchased this for my mum. Her and myself were sick of tasting a metallic taste on glasses and utensils, til i mentioned this and gave it a go. It is hands down amazing! The glass on anything looks so squeeky clean its amazing, and theres no nasty taste on our stuff anymore! She is very pleased and is going to stick with this from now on. We have had no left over residue and everything is completely cleaned.

Like other reviewers, I also found that the product hardened and stuck to together; doesn't clean well unless I hand rinse the dishes first or run a eco/rinse cycle without powder first; a residue is left on the cutlery; and doesn't work well with particularly grimy dishes. On a positive note, there are no nasty chemicals but will need to keep looking for a more effective dishwasher product.

I swapped to Abode dishwashing powder from Finish Quantum powerball tablets. The Finish Tablets were leaving chemical tasting residue on the dishes even though they looked clean, and there was sometimes food spots left over. This dish washing powder is SO MUCH CHEAPER, does not leave any residue and I now realise how clean dishes can get, the Finish tablets were leaving a film on the dishes that I didn't even realise! There is no way I am going back now, this product is amazing.

Love the Abode dishwashing powder, just have to be careful to not use to much. My hubby loves to load up the powder dispenser and we were getting bad results for a while. Turns out filling it to the top isn’t the recommended method. Now we use no more than a tablespoon.
I love the Abode brand for their dishwashing liquid and laundry powder, but sadly their dishwashing powder didn't meet my expectations at all. Everything in the dishwasher comes out dirty and coated in a powdery residue. The Ecostore powder is much more effective.
Does not clean the dishes properly, even though I make sure to rinse any food off before putting in dishwasher. Also you have to use the heavy duty cycle, which means running the dishwasher for 2h 45min on high heat, using more electricity, when I could use the Earth tablets in 30min light wash (and they did a better job). Would not buy again.
We have been using this for a bit more than a year and can't complain. There is the occasional reject but that would probably be the case even with supermarket chemical based products. Easy enough to lay some water on the reject and run through in the next load. Love that we aren't eating chemicals.
I bought this as an alternative to the junk available at supermarkets as my dishes had a slight metallic taste on them (especially the drinking glasses). I didn't have high hopes for this product but am actually blown away with its effectiveness. It gets dishes clean and you only need to use a couple of teaspoons at most. This product is about $5 more than the nasty chemical alternatives but I estimate it will last me at least 4 times as long. Bonus! If you are concerned with the ingredients in your dishwasher liquid/powder, give this product a go. I will be purchasing this again without hesitation.
This is the best affordable natural powder I have found so far. After some trial and error I have worked out the right amount for my dishwasher so it cleans my dishes but does not leave a residue (the toxic cleaners were also leaving a residue which was far more concerning) . It does not clean quite as well as the powerful chemical brands (on pots mainly) which is fine by me. I'd rather use a bit more elbow grease than use harmful chemicals. Will buy this again but I wish NL stocked the 5kg bucket to make it more economical!
I was not very impressed with this product as it left quite a thick residue on all dishes which needed to be hand washed to remove. I tried several times with small amounts of powder (after starting with the recommended amount) and the only success was with very little powder and on the longest, hottest cycle my dishwasher has and still needed to rinse glasses before using. Also noticed on the package it says 'for best results, use a heavy duty wash cycle'. Since my dishwasher has a very good eco cycle this is very disappointing.
