The KF bracket works well. Easy to mount bracket to the bike and remove the lock when needed to lock the bike. Good price for lock and bracket. The Lock looks reasonably substantial, but not too heavy. Very resistant to bolt croppers though it will not stop angle grinder attack. You can't rotate the U so that should mean with angle grinder they would need to cut both sides of the U. I got the 300mm as it has more room to lock the bike to something.

My friend made a good point, If your spending ÂŁ100s on a bike, why then only spend ÂŁ10 on a poor lock. This is absolutely amazing. So easy to put on and lock up, very light (for a D lock) and gives me complete confidence that my bike will be there when i return. Its won loads of bike lock awards (ive done loads of research), you CANNOT bolt cut through this, freeze and smash it, pull it apart, twist it, its super super strong!!! Ok, its nearly ÂŁ100 for a lock, but my bike is worth a ÂŁ1000 and i want to keep my bike. I bought this lock (along with a "Abus Bordo Lite 6055 85cm Folding Lock - maybe overkill?) and am very very happy with it. The square section makes it more resistant to theft and the size and weight of it alone make it feel and look very secure. Living in a high bike theft area means I need a lock that's better than more. The lock is also quite a bit less heavier than I expected. There are plenty of mounting / fixing options (took a bit of time to find the right place to fix it on my Scott MTB, but once fixed it's very secure). Would 100% definitely recommend.
I own the 30 mm version and bought 2 23 mm locks for my sons. I love it that much. Living in a city where bikes are stolen all the time, these are a necessity. The German engineering is superb and if you really need some the best you can get without it weighing a ton...these ABUS locks are the ones to buy. The squared off D/U lock shape, custom alloy and high quality locking mechanism are what set it apart from other locks in the same price range. You get equal or better security with less weight. Nothing is invincible and I am sure there are pros out there with tools that can defeat it....but they are far and few between. combine this lock with a cable for your tires and you should feel pretty secure leaving your bike most places. My daughter had been using this lock for a year and never had any problems. Thieves stole her basket and pannier and again tried to steal her basket and panniers and saddle but did not succeed the second time. The bike abd wheels were securely locked so they had no luck. My daughter’s nanny had her bike stolen parked right next to my daughter. I then biught a new bike and this lock. It is heavy and expensive but it is very secure. I would recommend spending more on a lock because you can always carry it over to your next bike. Cheap locks are false economy. With a cheap lock you loose your bike and lock very easily. If you are going to skimp, skimp in a bike. Nit on a lock.
There’s a few smaller cut marks on the lock that clearly thwarted some opportunistic thieves. The only way your bike gets stolen with this is if they’re planning to get it, or they “happen” to have an angle grinder.

This is also the largest lock I could find at over 11in long & 4.25in wide which I found made it more versatile but this does present some issues if you want to mount it to your bike frame for storage. If I were buying it knowing what I do now, I likely would get the 9inch version rather than the 11. That being said, I use it at an angle on my mountain bike so that it goes through my frame AND my rear wheel and on most occasions I would not have been able to include my rear wheel without those 2 inches. Spend your money on insurance. My husband’s brand new bike was just stolen despite having it “properly secured” with this lock. The lock was cut clean through, probably with a battery powered angle grinder. The only way to save your bike is to keep it completely out of view.
