Great looking monitor, but I purchased it because it had a built-in webcam but when it arrived I found it it's not compatible with Mac! Too many conversations with Acer only to have them tell me, nope, not compatible! What the heck Acer - why make your monitor only work on one operating system? Very short-sighted. If it wasn't such a hassle to pack up the monitor and return it, I would have. Now I have to purchase an external webcam making the total expenditure for monitor + camera really expensive!

Pros: Great screen size and quality. Speaker is adequate for my needs, but in terms of audio editing, I use my headset and run it through my UMC204HD. Very happy with my purchase.

I ended up getting one of the UHD 4K monitors as well as one of the WQHD monitors, both in 32 inches. The 4K is my main monitor with the WQHD as the secondary and I couldn't be happier. They work well in a pair, practically identical on the exterior. I've had no issues that I've seen other's complain about with shadowing, flickering or color. I tried to go with a larger 39 inch monitor but found it too large to be productive on, so this may be the perfect size. A few months in I'm very happy, I'll update this review if I run into any issues.

I really appreciate the USB hub functionality of this monitor, and especially wanted on that had built-in speakers that I could use to hear the audio of the HDMI signal. I was surprised that it didn't come with an HDMI cable but came with VGA, DisplayPort and audio cables--so I had to unexpectedly buy an HDMI cable, but not a big deal. The speakers are a little small and the sound doesn't have much bass to it, but it's reasonable enough and a little better than what is built into my laptop. The menu system is easy to use to make adjustments to the picture settings.
Purchased this as a budget gaming monitor for a second budget gaming PC. Overall I was actually quite impressed by the build quality for a budget monitor from Acer no less. Everything is plastic including stand but still feels quite sturdy. The picture is better than expected for a large 1080 monitor and IPS is a nice bonus. It's a good looking monitor for 200. Really the only thing that's worthless are the speakers but I didn't expect them to be good in the first place. Anyone who is anyone should be using a headset or set of external speakers anyways.
Using with a MacBook Air and a microdisplayport-to-microdisplayport cable. I use it for work, typical desktop stuff with a little video, typically having 4-5 windows open at the same time. In fact I scaled-it down one notch to make it easier on my ageing eyeballs. It's a great monitor for docking a laptop because it has the built-in USB hub (haven't bothered with the speakers yet). I don't detect any dead pixels, I don't see any weird video artifacts with things moving around as claimed by a couple others. My biggest issue: Capacitor whine! It took 1-2 weeks of use for it to come on. It is audible enough to be annoying, but not so bad to bother with returning. It seems worst while using gmail unfortunately (changes pitch & amplitude based on what's on the screen).
Pros: It looks nice, is easy to set up and moves around well. Cons: The screen brightness is so dull. You can't see a thing, the colour replication is awful too.
Yes, this model is getting a little long in the tooth but it's a great value. Fine as a second monitor to my primary Predator XB281HK. The colors are much less ""warm"" and seem more contrasty than the Predator so it is hard to get the color profile/white balance to match perfectly across multiple monitors. Without G-SYNC and capped at 60hz, this is not a great gaming monitor for FPS. Worst thing about this particular monitor I received is that the built-in speaker is clearly defective--it will start shrieking randomly and it sounds like a fire alarm. The amp is likely defeective. Has only happened twice and I have since disabled the speakers. Only inconvenient as nobody buys these things for the sound. Otherwise this does everything a cheap 4K panel should do.
