Waited to put at least 30 miles on these before leaving a review. I obviously can't speak to durability yet, but here are my initial impressions:The good: these shoes are so versatile! I'm using them for interval training, speed runs and hills, as well as occasionally for the long, slower runs that I'd typically choose more of a max cushion shoe for. I'm not an experienced runner, I'm just a guy in my mid-30s with an office job, road running 3 days a week and trying to work my way up to half marathon distances for fun and generally good health. So far, these are the best running shoes I've ever owned, and perfect for my needs. The less good (but still not bad): (1) I have a somewhat narrow foot and found that it reeeally matters how I tighten these laces and tie ... MoreWaited to put at least 30 miles on these before leaving a review. The process requires more attention while getting ready for a run than any shoes I've ever owned before. During pre-run stretches, I now consciously think about how they're feeling and if I need to adjust one or not. (2) And lastly, Boston 12s are known to have slightly more room in the toe box than most running shoes. I've read many runners choose to size down a half size with these, and that's worth considering if you're really looking for a snug fit, but I kind of think a non-scrunched-toe situation is healthy, and that may be part of the reason I'm enjoying these shoes so much sticking with my true 10.5 size.

I bought these after reading and watching many reviews on YouTube in anticipation to start marathon training in the New Year! I’ve not been disappointed thus far! They really can do everything! From easy miles to faster tempo/progressive runs and so comfy on longer runs! Also done some faster running in icy conditions and the continental rubber sole just doesn’t miss a trick and you feel safe and firmly stuck to the ground! I would really highly recommend anyone to purchase these!

New runner and I've been looking for a shoe that can handle different paces/distances. Boston 12 is not a perfect shoe because it is a little unstable compared to something like Hoka Mach 5 and the lacing system makes it harder to step into than other shoes. Once the shoe is on though it's a nice fit. I have wide feet and the toe box is roomy if I go half a size up from my regular shoes. Mesh is not super plush but it's very breathable and the plastic up front is very soft where I don't notice it with running socks on. This shoe is FUN to run in but also handled my snail's pace runs well!TL;DR: Buy this if you want a do-it-all shoe. Thank me later.

I'm not a runner. I do daily walks/jogs (5-6 miles at a time) and have tried numerous shoes from all the top brands. I am also female but women's shoes just weren't cutting it and I have found men's versions offer the extra width I'm looking for. These Adidas Adizero Boston 12s have become one of my go-to shoes because they are comfortable, lightweight, and provide extra spring. The lacing system is a bit annoying but everything else is working great. I just did a half marathon distance today (first for me) and my feet made it through 11.5 miles before they started to feel a bit tired. I hadn't even considered Adidas shoes before and now I will definitely keep them in mind in the future.
The shoe looks great, but there were too many parts of the shoe that didn't fit for me to keep it. The middle of the shoe is tight while the toe box is loose and the shoe runs long. The area around the ankle is loose and caused heel movement when running. The insole also had some weird lumps around the arch/outside of the right foot. Not willing to give them a chance to break in as I've dealt with foot pain in the past and this could definitely make it worse.
Been away from Adidas running shoes for decades because fit was too narrow for me but when I heard these shoes have a roomy toe box I decided to give them a try. Overall this shoe checked a lot of boxes for me, a cushioned ( but not too much) shoe with still some responsiveness that I can use as a daily trainer/super trainer that is comfortable during easy runs and fun for tempo runs. The only downside to this shoe is the flimsy heel counter which I still have some heel slippage even by going half a size down and doing the runner's knot. I have to wear my thicker runner socks with these shoes. For the next iteration of this shoe I suggest: 1) better heel counter, more structure and make the heel cushioning more robust 2) gusset the tongue 3) change the laces (likes ... MoreBeen away from Adidas running shoes for decades because fit was too narrow for me but when I heard these shoes have a roomy toe box I decided to give them a try. I bought special addition Bostons for the 2018 LA Marathon and really like them. I purchased the Boston 12s from RR this past October because of the carbon plate. I really liked the ride I was getting. I rotate three pairs of shoes for running, and I had just gone over the 280-mile mark for my Boston 12s. So, I went ahead and ordered a new pair from RR (May 15th, delivery still pending), but this morning, it happened. What happened?!?, you ask. Welp, about 2 miles into my 6-mile recovery run, I was feeling strange irritation in my left Achilles. It wasn't painful, so I ignored it, but by 2 1/2 miles, it got too much. So, I stopped to take a look, and it was the left shoe sole insert coming out of the back of my shoe. So, I stopped to take a look, and it was the left shoe sole insert coming out of the back of my shoe. For the rest of the run, I had to stop every quarter mile or so to shove the insert back into the shoe. After I finished my run, I pulled out the insert to inspect it. The left shoe insert is no longer structurally sound (you can see the crinkles), so I will have to replace the insert to run in that pair of shoes.I have full faith that this defect is an anomaly, and I will get the most mileage out of the new Boston 12s that are pending delivery. However, I can only give this purchase 3 stars due to the defective sole insert in the left shoe.
The shoes arrived on time. Perfect! The problem is that there’s something wrong with the right shoe and I didn’t notice it until my second run. Foot Locker’s return policy requires shoes to be new and in original box. It’s 2 runs, 17 miles too late for me. Not Foot Locker’s fault. You have to run to be able to tell whether or not they are right. These shoes weren’t. PS: I ran 350+ miles on Adidas Boston 11.
One of my absolute favorite shoes in my rotation. I have set both mile and 5k PB's in the Boston 12. It has just the right amount of cushion, and a really great toe off with the light strike pro foam and energy rods. Adidas got this one right. It is relatively light weight, turns over fast and has a great bounce. I wound up buying a second pair as I liked them so much, highly recommend.
The Boston 12 showed promise after all the rave reviews, I thought it would be my new super shoe. I was let down by a few things. Fit was too narrow at the midfoot, so it was a challenge to get a loose enough lacing (I have a feeling it had to do with the funky lacing system where the eyelets acted as gussets, squeezing your foot even if you don't intend to). The heel on the contrary was way too loose with no bumpers or pads (well a small almost nonexistent one), and the heel counter was stiff right at the center back. No matter what type of socks you wear with them, toe socks, thick cushioned wool ones, no-show or crew, nothing fills in this awkwardly loose fit (even in my TTS and one size up). Ultimately, it is a huge fail by Adidas on designing the shoe fit, even ... MoreThe Boston 12 showed promise after all the rave reviews, I thought it would be my new super shoe.
