This is the worst design for the Adidas Barricade shoe. When I tried it on (left shoe), it pinched the upper outer portion of my foot, causing intense pain. I ordered size 10 and that is the normal size I wear. I have purchased this model of show for a great many years and have never had this problem. I returned both pairs. I will leave basically the same review for my wife's pair of shoes (same model, just different size).

Very satisfied with my new Barricade. They are comfortable and resistant, and the sole grip seems very good for wet tennis surfaces.

Comfortable and doesn't feel stiff on the feet even on its first use.
This is my third pair of adidas Barricades in about 6 years. They need wearing in before they become comfortable. I play on hard courts, tiger grass, and clay. I find they are very supportive when changing direction, and have very impressive grip. The tops tend to have cracks after a few years, playing 2-3 times a week.
Tried to return adidas barricade tennis shoes after the outsole wore out after 3 weeks. Adidas deemed them as being scuffed and misused and would not provide a refund. But my 13yo son only played tennis with them. I could play with $25 Dunlop volleys that would last longer
Maybe a defect, shoe but after about 6 games the left toe separated from the upper sole. Nevertheless, the shoe was very comfortable.
The heel rake (heel curve) is way too severe. I did not even bother to take them on the court. My heel/achilles area was worn raw after 20 minutes of walking around my home. Also, the lacing system is not effective and the ride (midsole/outsole) is hard and stiff. No cushioning. I remember my Barricades from 2000 were the best ever. Ferrari's for your feet. The new versions might be pretty, but they are awful.
