The Eric Emanuel x adidas Forum 84 High “McDonald’s All-American Game” is a collaboration between the New York City based fashion designer and adidas on the retro basketball shoe in a colorway dedicated to the McDonald’s All-American Game. Sponsored by McDonald’s, the exhibition basketball game features the top high school basketball players in the country every spring. The game has been used as a showcase for young basketball players prior to their heading off to college or professional basketball. As for the design, nods to McDonald’s red-and-yellow color scheme can be found throughout the look. A light cream-colored leather forms the base with tonal leather overlays appearing on the forefoot, eyelets, and collar. Red felt Three Stripes branding can be found on both sides of the shoe and a “McDonald’s All-American Game” logos grace both the collar overlay and the white nylon tongue tag on the cream nylon tongue. Navy “Ee” detailing can be found on the lateral side of the forefoot. A yellow tumbled leather overlay appears on the collar above the adjustable white leather ankle strap.
