The only way to avoid it is to buy a insole for the shoe so you have additional padding to block the pain. I even have a narrow foot but the edging into my foot was very annoying borderline painful. I noticed that on the newer NMD R2 model the block on the side of the shoes are smaller and not as high. That should tell you something.

I was in Seattle on vacation and saw these shoes. I have never worn this brand, but I really liked the look of the shoe. Tried on a pair close to my size and immediately feel in love with the comfort. The Seattle Macy's did not have my size, but the sales associate was great and said, "no problem", I will order your size and have them sent directly to your home. Four days later I was wearing them. I love the looks, but the shoes are just really comfortable.

I have always loved Adidas. But I wasn't that crazy about their shoes for a few years now. These NMDs are very breathable and insanely comfy. Would recommend any laced up version as the ones that are laceless literally feel like socks with thick soles. The soles grip the ground but the socks slip. Very hard to describe. Just stick to these and you'll do fine.

Always love the NMD's and these came in perfect condition, exactly as described! Adidas NMDs never disappoint. Very comfortable to wear casually or gym in; not so much for running long distances. Very supportive in the arch. Had to go half size up, whereas it's usually recommended to go half size down! LOVE!

Best trainers I’ve ever had the ultra boost sole is seriously comfy is like walking on air, I had my lower disc removed and vertebrae fused with titanium cages after a injury whilst serving in the Royal Marines so was looking for a trainer with comfort and support and this ticks all the boxes! I’ll be buying again and I seriously recommend them also a great looking trainer for everyday use and for the gym. I’m usually a size 9.0-9.5 I went for the 9.5 and they fit good and stretch but I think a 10 would of been perfect but I kept the 9.5 as they are soft material and have stretched. So they do come up a size short.
My son (13, 8th grade, very particular) has had his eye on these shoes for a while. He originally liked the all white version, but saw the gray and changed his mind. They look great with athletic shorts/pants, as well as chinos and jeans. Can dress them up or down. The orange tab at the back is a nice 'pop of color' without being obnoxious -- he likes it. The combo of fabrics is cool, and I (as a mom) liked the extra support these offer, especially since he pronates. So glad he went with the gray…with his long legs and thinner frame, the all white would've made his feet look huge. Understated and, when you look closer and see all the detail, very current and sophisticated.
I was told about the “bobbly” soles on the Adidas trainers before and told that they were mad comfy, however I never got around to getting any... until now! They are honestly the comfiest shoes I have EVER had in my 24 years on this planet! It’s truely like walking on air. I cannot stress enough how amazing these trainer are! And I also love the colour! They seem to go with everything I have! I bought these because I’m going on holiday to Spain soon and am planning on doing a fair bit of walking so I needed something light and comfy - I now can’t wait to get walking!
overall ok...these trainers fit unusually, the chunky heal pushes your toes towards the front and toes push into the knit material at the front. they are very soft and cushioned. will take some getting used to but seem to be comfortable. they look very stylish too...I went up a half size due to the amount of cushioning in the shoe, they also do not have any insoles so these could potentially be added to improve fit. Great service from office, arrived in less than 2 days.
