I love the look of this shoe. It is very lightweight and the boost midsole is comfortable... That being said, the rubber panel on the medal side of the shoe puts pressure on my arch to the point that it is uncomfortable. And I have pretty high arches, so I was surprised by this. I also got a 10.5, but the shoe runs long by over half an inch, so I would probably go down half a size if I were to buy it again. Due to the rubber panel digging into my arch however, I will be returning the shoe and not buying it again. Hopefully you have better luck with it than I did, but based on my experience I would not recommend this shoe.Style: HomerunComfort: Strikeout

I hate how hard it is to put these on. But this is part of the reason you don't want your usual size. I describe this sneaker as sock like. It's like a sock on your sock. They feel wonderful once you get them on. But once I did I laughed and was like whoa they would totally be too loose if I had gotten my normal size. I hate that the red rose on the back gets blocked by the strap. But the strap is cool too! This is such a cool looking but COMFORTABLE sneaker.

These shoes are so cheaply made, they don’t even seem like real adidas. They were way too big, they don’t come with insoles, and they were super uncomfortable And big because of not having the insoles. Definitely a defective shoe, DO NOT BUY. Also the shoes looked like they were tied on and dirty. Over a horrible 1st purchase from Nord Rack. Never again

This was my first pair of NMDs, love the colors and the style. I bought these at a local Foot Locker store. The feel and comfort of the shoe is great. These shoes do in fact run about 1/2 a Size to a full size bigger. I am a 9.5 in any other adidas shoe but this one I had to go down to a 8.5. Weird! Lol but feels so comfortable. The 9 was a tad to big and wide and I wear wide shoes. I highly suggest getting a full size smaller and if it doesn’t work return for a 1/2 bigger. Or if you have a local store. Go and try them on. These run the same price everywhere at the current time. These shoes are more for style and look over running shoes. Even tho I would run in these just not long distances.
Would have rated higher but yeah there is a small design flaw. They do run big, i have wide feet so to me they are great. But definitely not a good running shoe. More fashion than use. The reason is because of the piece of metallic colored plastic on the profile of the shoe. It doesn't quite follow the curves of your foot. jutting up and into the inner side of your foot. Other than that they are light and comfortable, just can't see being active in them because of that flaw. Perhaps with a shoe stretcher and a little well applied heat it can be bent to make it more comfortable but as is it's something that can be worn for spurts of time but would definitely be irritating over time or more active use.
I would say adidas tends to run a little larger than other shoe brands in general but I found sizing to be a big issue with these shoes. a full size down was too small but a half size down was too big. But both sizes had one common problem and my feet on the medial sides were always painful. Maybe it’s my feet or the the shoe design but I just had these foot pains regardless of the size of the shoe. I’m hoping this is just a break in period but it’s kinda painful to walk in; especially after a few hours
Bought a pair of NMD R1 V2 Rio de Janeiro by complete accident after not having packed tennis shoes for my trip. Very comfortable shoe, can wear all day. Decided to buy second pair in Carbon Savannah. Heel is stiffer and rubbing my ankles raw, never had this issue with the Rios. Other than that, a very great shoe. Nothing a no shoe heel tab / blister tan or low cut sock can't fix.
The shoes look great on the outside! I was told they run slightly large but I didn’t find that the case. I would compare the feeling of your feet inside the shoes to that of sticking them in a brown paper bag. The shoes are a little low quality and you can see what people mention about the poor quality stitching right away. They are very uncomfortable and provide zero arch support. I am keeping them - I’ll just have to buy inserts galore to make them slightly more palatable. Overall I would not recommend.
Yes they are oversized and the inner sole is uncomfortable (if you call this an inner sole). I tried them on and immediately felt that the inner sole was missing. Fortunately I do a lot of hiking and trail running and have several inner soles on hand. I inserted my favorite innersole in and it was magic and felt great. Now I could zonk Adidas for this but I typically change inner soles on other shoes to meet my subjective needs. Overall they feel good, very light weight and look nice.
If you are used to wearing Ultraboosts, Alphaboosts or Alphaedge 4Ds, these are definitely of a looser fit. The toe box is larger/roomier, and the collar doesn't provide as much support compared to the aforementioned shoes. I normally wear size 10 in those, had to go down to 9.5 in these NMDs for an equivalent fit./ Also, there is a slight odd bump in the inside arch. Might actually get a thin insole to help smooth it out and take out some of the slack in the fit. These shoes are otherwise nice, and I like the flashy graphics in the Cloud White/Core Black/Scarlett colorway. Never really cared for the odd, rectangle bumpers on the outer midsole of NMDs (looks tacked on IMHO), but less noticeable in this colorway. Great lifestyle/casual shoe.
