Adidas Samba OG Core Black

The adidas Samba OG Core Black retools this sport shoe as a fashion-forward icon, crafts it with a minimalist design and dresses it in a stealthy colorway. The upper of this low-top is crafted from black leather at the base, eye stay overlay, T-toe overlay, heel tab, and iconic side panel three stripes. This black-on-black colorway is enhanced with black flat laces that cross over a black leather tongue with tonal branding embossed on the tongue tag. The black textile sock liner is padded around the collar for ankle comfort. The gum rubber sole unit is crafted in a darker hue, more in keeping with the somber aesthetic of this sneaker. This bright accent adds a spark to the shoe. The adidas Samba OG Core Black was released on September 15th, 2023 for a retail price of $100.

You gave me the wrong size! I need 11, I received a 11.5! I didn’t choose 11.5 so there’s a mistake somewhere a glitch something! I can’t return them to get the correct size, I can only “ resell” them! I’m out $100 bucks can’t replace for the correct size and now have to sell these to buy the correct size! I definitely won’t be doing business with you guys ever again and i’m letting everyone know your return policy sucks and to steer clear of your company! Awful! I did ask for a return and it was denied! Done!

I wear these sneakers mainly for work and am on my feet 8 hrs/day. I do have the same pair of Sambas but a different color purchased in a US Adidas store. Compared to that, these seemed a bit tighter and not as comfortable. I don’t doubt the authenticity of the shoe as every shoe, even if the same exact size/model may have some variability when being made. I do love the look/colors of the this sneaker i purchased and will look to StockX for additional purchases.

I love Nordstrom. Pretty much the only place I shop for fashion on-line. Today, my much anticipated Adidas Sambas arrived. I have been trying to buy these for a year but they never have my size in stock, but one day while looking, again, they had ONE - 7.5 women's black Sambas available. In my cart, $100 bucks, bam! Today I am sad, they came in a crushed, taped back together box, no shape insert, laced-up, clearly worn with animal or something hair inside both, and schmutz on the soles. They look like I could have gotten them at Goodwill. Not a consignment store, because they would have at least cleaned them up before selling them. :-(

Great!
29 October 2023

I love these Adidas. I’m a sneaker head and just wanted to add these to my collection. Adidas shoes vary in fit though. I wear an 8.5 medium women’s shoes and got these in an 8. I can wear a cotton footie comfortably also. I have worn them running errands all day and no blisters or any discomfort and I have small bunions on both feet that can be debilitating at times!

Happily Surprised
27 February 2024

Pleasantly surprised and happy that I didn't pay attention to the bad comments about Sambas. I am normally a women's size 8 - 8.5 and the size 7 in big kids fits me perfectly. The shoes look much better than I expected, they are super comfortable and go with any outfit.JD service was excellent and the shipping was faster than I expected as well.

I would buy these in so many colors again and again
14 June 2024

Perfect! The size is just right and the width is very comfortable. The sole is also good but the shoe is kinda flat footed and i have an arch but it still feels great. I also loved the color i got I definitely want it in white and blue too. Overall the shoe is super comfortable and I love them! They also came 4 days early! I have been wearing them since I got them.

Lesson learned: You may not need to size up
6 November 2023

I've been researching Samba OG sneakers for a minute and everywhere I've read, I was told to size up. I am normally a woman's size 10 (I am a true 10 with wide feet). In Converse, I wear (men's) size 7.5 or 8s. But for Samba OG sneakers, I ordered a woman's 10.5/men's 9.5. I just came on here to exchange for a smaller size but they're completely out of the white/halo blue/gum5 color way -- as is nearly every other store it seems -- so I'm sticking with these even though my feet look disproportionately larger than the rest of my body. Whoops! I think it is safe to play it conservative, at least in the way sizing is listed on Nordstrom's site, and go for your regular size.

Narrow and long
13 February 2024

I normally wear women’s 9 and got these in 9.5 (marked on inside US 8.5, uk 8, fr42, jp 265) I got them in 9.5 because 9 was sold out. Anyway i wore them on a trip everyday for 14 days. Wore them with cotton no-show socks. They were very comfortable. No break in and no blisters. I noticed that the shoe has a very narrow toe box so even though 9 would have been better length wise, it may have squeezed my toes so the mainly walking trip may have been a more uncomfortable on my feet. I did A LOT walking in warm weather. I have other adidas in woman’s 9 (marked on the inside us 8, uk 7.5, fr 41.5, jp 260). So go figure. The sizing maybe is weird because this shoe is so narrow.

Sent me a used shoe.
18 January 2024

Better off buying directly from Adidas or in store. JD Sports sent me a worn/used pair, the insole padding of the shoe was stained and had sock lent all inside. The bottom of the shoe had bits of dirt all in the groves of the sole. This is frustrating! Clearly someone had returned the shoe and whoever was the employee didn't check if the shoe was used. This is unacceptable.

White with green stripes version are poor quality
8 March 2024

I ordered the white with green stripes and was really disappointed. The material looks wrinkly and feels more like nylon than leather, and the suede part looks matted. At first I thought I had received an old worn pair, but when I checked again online, you can see in the pictures that the green stripe Sambas do look wrinkly, so I guess Adidas just makes this version differently.I also ordered the classic black Sambas and they look/feel great and like real leather. So, I still recommend Sambas in general, but definitely not in this color, which is sad because the green color is really cute.
