This is for the white with black stripes color. Such a classic. Goes with so much. I was going to do a color but realized that the white/black matches so much more. They have hardly any padding though. I used a comfy insole under the sole they came with and they feel great. My regular size fit with the insert. If you don't want to use an insert, you might need to go down a half size.

Happy to find these Wirecutter top-rated shoes at Nordstrom. I prefer this classic slim athletic-style shoe to the many way over-engineered styles available today. Glad to try them on before purchasing—they run a half size bigger than usual size. The heel tab may be too stiff for some but with a sock that comes above the edge of the shoe they are fine and will soften over time. I’m happy with my purchase.

This is my 3rd pair of Samba. They run a bit narrow, so I sized up half a size for my first pair. But it loosens up after a month or so. So for my next two pairs, I am going with my normal size 7. They fit right on from the get go. Love Samba! So stylish, easy to pair with anything. It is so good! In general, I have to do down half a size in Adidas (Superstar, Stan Smith, etc), but for Samba, I'd say it runs smaller than the rest.

These Adidas Sambas are the epitome of classic style and comfort! From the moment I put them on, I knew they were something special. The leather is supple. It feels like walking on sleepers. No much arch support but for me are super comfortable. After reading reviews I was concerned about two issues: slippery on wet surfaces or rain making causing people to fall, and hurting ankles to the point of blistering or bleeding. I am wearing the shoes with high socks for at least a week, not using the blower hack, but I dont have any issue so far with hurting or blisters, actually I am impressed about comfort and how fast the leather softened. I purchased a sole grip spray hoping it will solve the issue. I am thankful for all the reviewers posting the slippery issue, it saves me to slide and fall because I was aware, and sadly I found it is true. Otherwise, wonderful shoes.
I first purchased the original OG’s and I live in them. I was stalking this 2nd pair in the black and cream combo but my size was always out of stock. For reference, I’m a size 8 men’s/9 women’s in the unisex OG white ones. So when I saw the black ones available in the women’s 9.5, I decided to pull the trigger and see if they would work. Surprisingly, they’re perfect! They fit identical to my other unisex ones in size 9, which surprised me. So these black ones run slightly smaller. I’m thrilled to have both pairs! I also purchased a third pair in the all cream w/ black stripes, but I found those to have a very peachy yellow undertone, which I didn’t care for. So I returned those. I highly recommend the white OGs and black/cream suede ones if you can your hands on them.
I have tendinitis in my right foot and flat foot deformity in both foot. While the Samba has no arch support it is truly comfortable. It’s like wearing a pair of Toms Very lightweight. When my dad brought these to me I was very skeptical. I see PLENTY of people wearing these but as we know these days, people wear stuff to be trendy. He told me to just give them a try and I haven’t taken them off since.
I don't understand how anyone can tolerate wearing this with the tongue being so stiff and sharp. I have been buying Adidas for most of my life, I love them, but the tongue on these instantly digs into the front of my ankles and the heel is still too loose so it slip around even though the length is barely long enough for me. I usually wear a 9.5-10, generally a 10 in adidas but I got a 9.5 in these. They're cute but I don't want cuts in my ankles so I'll have to send back. Change that tongue, goodness.
I love the look of this shoe, which isn't always the best reason to make a purchase -- I admit to giving into my weaknesses. They felt great on first try. I have fussy feet, so I expected I would need to "adjust." But a relatively short walk ended up giving me gouges on both upper heels. My feet sat too low in the shoe, and the back sat too high. I should have recognized this sooner, but I was determined to "break them in." The holes in my heels healed and I tried again. No luck at all. The rubbing was terrible and broke the skin on both heels again. Lesson learned. I need a low profile shoe with a shallow heel cup. These are not that. I still like the way they look.
I would love to give a 5 star rating but I received the wrong item. I’ve been on the waiting list for the Samba OG white/halo blue for weeks. When it was finally available (I was not alerted. I happen to see my size as I was looking at the Nordstrom website.) I quickly placed an order. The shipping was delayed by 4 days. When the shoes finally arrived I was so disappointed to see that the Samba were white/indigo, not the halo blue. I am on the fence about calling customer service to complain….. but is that a waste of my time?
