I had been stalking these sneakers on the adidas app and then all of a sudden they were sold out and I was so sad! So I said, who else would possibly carry these shoes?!?! And then I said to myself, Nordstrom always has an amazing shoe selection as well as lots of options that are current and on trend. So I searched… and discovered of course Nordstrom has them! Nordstrom saves the day!!These shoes are so comfy and so cute! It says runs a half size big but I’d say nearly a whole size big! I first ordered a 10 online. Went to exchange them in store but they didn’t have a 9 ½ so they ordered them and had them shipped to my house. The shoes arrived today and although the box says 9 ½ the shoes inside are actually only a 9. So they were mis-boxed. But they fit perfect!! That means they fit a whole size too big because all my other Adidas shoes are 10s. Very comfortable shoes!!!

Yuck, where do I begin. First I thought the were more lavender silver and white. They are cream with stark white stitching that hideous. I only looked at the first photo and again the stripes looked purple and I did not realize the 3 stripes were stitches and white. Just really bad looking. They look cheap, almost like they are Addidas dupes. Somebody at Addidas let their 5 year old collab.

Adidas.com clearly shows unisex sizing for the Sambae while other stores like Dick's Sporting Goods advertise the Sambae as a women's shoe (with a woman on the shoe box label). I tried these on locally at DSG and size 9 is a men's size 9! Needed a size 8 to achieve my TTS women's size 9. Adidas, please put unisex sizing somewhere in the Sambae description and have other stores selling this shoe do the same...this would eliminate size confusion. After sizing was figured out, this is a dope and more comfortable Samba version!
I'm a size 10. With Adidas, I tend to have to size down by a half size. I actually sized down a full size to a 9. I wear thin half socks that cover the toes and the 9 worked best for me. 9.5 was slipping off the heel. (But 9.5 would definitely work for me if I wore a more coverage sock) If wearing lightweight to medium weight cotton socks, I highly suggest sizing down a half size. I honestly don't understand how these run true to size for some unless they're wearing thicker socks. I almost always fit a size 10 or 10.5 if it's a narrow shoe. The size 10 was way too big and Long in the toe box.
OK, I have been waiting forever for these shoes to come in my size. I’m normally a TTS women’s size 9. But I decided to buy an 8 1/2 because everyone said the shoeran big. Finally, an 8 1/2 became available in the red version, so I immediately bought them. They just came today, and the shoe is gorgeous and really well-made, but unfortunately it’s still too big! I’m not sure I’ve ever experienced this with a pair of shoes before, I have never had to size down an entire shoe size. These run that big. I think I have to return :(

I purchased at the same time a pair of the regular white Sambas with the dark sole and the black stripes...but I missed the green....I was thinking to myself I wish there was a way that they could merge the 2 shoes together... tada I found these.The shoe doesn't necessarily run big lengthwise but it is WIDE...I have an average to just on the edges of narrow (I cannot wear narrow shoes). I purchased a 6.5 and that is what I ended up getting, I tried the 6 and while it fit it rubbed against my big toe and I was thinking after the walking I would end up with blisters on my toe. So I have the original gender inclusive style in a men’s 10, 44 EU, 9.5 UK and I have some wiggle room. So I just received these in a women’s 11, box shows 11, 44 EU, 9.5 UK. These easily give me a a thumb width in the toe box, they feel a little wider. I really love them and may just wear a thicker sock. I may be able to try a half smaller but with how fast these go I’m keeping them. Usually a true 11 in women’s and these do give to a bit of room. Hopefully you can try in store. The look of the shoe is awesome. Also note the white stripes are made of thread stitched horizontally so hoping they can withstand, I’m dreading them getting snagged.
Thank goodness I read the reviews before purchasing! I wear 9 in most closed toe shoes, sometimes 8.5 and after reading all the reviews of how they run big I ordered 8 and it fits perfect. Never in my life have I ordered an 8- not sure why these run so big but they are super comfy. They are narrow so if you have a wider foot they may not be comfortable. Waiting patiently for other colors to come back in stock :)
So a lot of people say this shoe runs a half size too large but I have to disagree. I bought my usual woman’s 10 and although I do have room in the toe box I feel anything smaller I would have hit the front of the shoe with my toes. That being said, I do have wide feet so maybe this is why. Someone with narrow feet might benefit from a half size down. These are comfortable shoes for sure. The suede detailing makes them look extra nice! I have them in red and black. Would love to get them in more colors! Make these in pink and blue !!!
