These shoes are described as clean leather upper construction. I purchased them thinking they are leather. When I received them, the sticker said they were synthetic upper. Very misleading product description. Is "clean leather" the new green marketing spin for synthetic? Can't we just call it what it is to avoid disappointment?

I love Stan Smith sneakers, they are so comfortable and stylish. I had the navy and white for years and they were my absolute favorite shoes until I accidentally spilled something on them and had to throw them away, I was so sad to see them get tossed, they were my go-to shoe especially for driving. I have the green and white as well but they are a size 7 and are much bigger than my older navy pair, so they must have been a size 6 1/2. I'm usually a 7 or 7 1/2, so definitely order these down by a 1/2 or one full size.

I am not sure how anyone can wear these Stan Smith's. I am normally a size 11, they were huge. I ordered in 10 and 10.5. The real problem on all three is the tongue of the sneaker. It digs right into my ankle. I never had a sneaker where that happened. It is painful without even wearing them more than 5 minutes. No one else seemed to complain, so just not sure, what's up with me and these sneakers.

Love the shoe so much that we were going exchange for a 1/2 size smaller as the OG was a bit long and wide however when we tried to return via RETURNMATES, which is INCREDIBLE - Nordstrom picks items up at your house at no cost, which is amazing. BUT when they promptly arrived, the box containing the shoes was not on the bench where we left it because the United States Postal Service, who was delivering an Amazon package, decided to randomly pick up the shoe box and take it!! Now we have an extensive investigation going on to find out where this person put the shoes. It has been been the most bizarre experience. RETURNMATES is such a gift. We will use them again. What the USPS person was thinking, no idea. It’s all on our RING camera. Ludicrous waste of time. ... MoreLove the shoe so much that we were going exchange for a 1/2 size smaller as the OG was a bit long and wide however when we tried to return via RETURNMATES, which is INCREDIBLE - Nordstrom picks items up at your house at no cost, which is amazing. Box had no address/packing slip, postage or anything that would suggest he swipe it like a bandit. We don’t schedule any pick up, either. Beyond absurd.
I've been wearing these shoes for years and have 4 pair in different colors and recently bought a 5th. The material, fit, and shape are totally different with the last two pairs I bought. They have a weird indentation at the interior base of the big toe, and the tongue is SO long it rubs your ankles. Why would they change the cut of these when they have been a great shoe after all these years?! I hope someone at adidas sees this and makes note of it since other reviewers have had similar complaints.
Pros: true white. Flattering shape for the feet.Cons: what is up with the tongue? It reached half way up my shin lol. Returning. It looked weird.*read other reviews about the sizing running large. I’m normally an 11, especially in sneakers and the 10 was perfect. Definitely needed socks though because the shoe was coming off when I walked without them.
These iconic shoes have been around since 1965 and have always been made with genuine leather. Why would Adidas change the well loved Stan Smith to vegan leather! This is an inferior product, yet still charging $100 for vegan leather. I paid less than this 3 yrs ago for my pair in genuine leather. Because I wanted another pair and I refuse to wear shoes that won’t allow your feet to breathe or mold to your feet, I had to resort to searching for a pair on eBay. I really hope they’ll see what a terrible mistake this was and go back to making these as they had always been for decades in leather. This might not be a concern to everyone but I truly believe in “If it ain’t broke don’t fix it!!”
This is about the Off White/ Beige/ Silver version. The tongue is soooo stiff and so long as to make these unwearable. Like the tongue is literally jabbing into your foot. I even measured it and the tongue extends a whole inch past the edge of the shoe. I honestly don't know they are still selling this version (bc my last pair of sam smith's weren't like this at all). I can only speculate that maybe different colors are different in this regard. IDK, but at any rate immediate return for me, these feel awful just trying on to walk to the mirror, there's no way I could go about my day in them. The only upside is stylistically they are cute.
I absolutely loved the looks of these white/fig sneakers. I’ve had the white/navy Sz 8 for years and love them. Took a chance on 8.5 since that was all that was available and they surprisingly fit. The tongue is ridiculous. So long it rubs the front of your leg and they were squeaking with each step. Dealbreakers unfortunately.
I tried on the adidas advantage at Nordstrom rack and they are SOOOOO comfortable. The only problem was I wasn’t entirely sold on the lilac color. So I found exactly what I wanted color wise at Nordstrom with these Stan smiths (fig color) and figured they are mostly the same shoe design/concept but unfortunately these are much more stiff and do not have the cloud foam insole.Overall the shoe is cute and minimalist. I wish it were more comfortable. It does run big so order half size down.
