I have really mixed feelings about these shoes. They are great in most ways, but have a couple of flaws that nearly lead me to return them.First is a minor flaw that actually can be problematic for certain situations: The black-colored shoes show dirt like nobody’s business. If you wear these anywhere other than on pavement, they make you look like you just stepped out of the fields. It is bad enough that I feel self-conscious going into restaurants after going on a hike. Duh, that is exactly when I am feeling ready for some nourishment. The other combination problem is a near fatal flaw for me: The shoe laces are the worst I have ever had. They will not stay tied, even when I double-knot them! This is coupled with a bizarre top pair of too-small eyelets that set ... MoreI have really mixed feelings about these shoes. They will not stay tied, even when I double-knot them! This is coupled with a bizarre top pair of too-small eyelets that set up a lace pattern that is quite difficult to get properly tensioned. Plus, the infernal slippery laces are too long, so if I only use one pair of the eyelets, then the laces drag on the ground. If I use both sets of eyelets, then the lacing and tensioning is a pain.Getting and keeping these properly tied is such a chore that I bought new laces off Amazon as a last ditch effort before returning them to REI. Thankfully that seems to have worked, but it seems Adidas botched this very fundamental part of the design.

I bought these for my wife, and she loves them - lightweight and with good traction for walking on rock. As approach shoes, the Terrex has replaced the hiking boots she used to wear.

I bought the size that fits me with all brands I wear, Asolo, Merrell, Vasque, Garmont, and more. The Terrex are oddly shaped, unlike those brands. In my size the length seemed ok, but the shoes were exaggeratedly large and floated around my feet. Even with laces as tight as possible, I could not get them snug, tight lacing would only result in weird uneven pressure points. My feet would hurt from all the movement around my feet and I could not wear them.

I bought these shoes because I liked the look of them znd I wasn't disappointed they are superb. Lovely quality and very comfortable. Great buy !
I use these shoes exclusively in 3 gun matches. They are lite, and comfortable to stand in all day (8-10 hours) they feel very well made but also flexible enough to run in. I only gave the adidas 4 stars because the insoles are very thin and do not feel well made. I replace the insoles out of a broken down, broken in pair of shoes I had and they made a nigh and day difference.
Didn't expect shoe to be purple but it is. It's lavender to be more specific. Also, I almost always wear size 9 but this shoe was SMALL. Order a size up.
I live in an area with a lot of hard-pack and loose gravel, and these shoes take steady pounding. I bought them more for hiking use, but now wear them every day! Comfortable, fit well. I plan to buy another pair soon.
These didn't work for me. That doesn't mean they won't for someone else. I found the toe box too narrow and I don't have wide feet. They also seemed too flimsy. My sense is Adidas makes excellent running shoes but I'm not impressed with their hiking shoes.
I’ve been buying this model of shoe for years (this is my 3rd pair), but the fit has changed over time. They feel wider in the front and a little bit loose compared to prior versions. Also, the shoe laces are the cheaper lightweight ones.
Handles most moderate hikes on easy terrain...but makes a lot of noise doing it. Right shoe broadcasts rhythmic squeaking noise with each step. Driving me nuts.Started several months in, but REI wouldn't accept an exchange or at least issue a credit. First time, I've been truly disappointed with REI.
