Adidas Ultra Boost 20 Core Black Silver Metallic

At first glance, the adidas Ultra Boost 20 Core Black Silver Metallic might look like any other Ultra Boost sneaker. But this particular model, which was unveiled in 2020 to celebrate the Paralympic Games, has several unique features that set it apart from its counterparts. For starters, this Ultra Boost's black Primeknit upper is constructed out of Parley Ocean Plastic to make it more eco-friendly than the average Ultra Boost. It also has a striking Fitcounter heel counter that is done up in Silver Metallic to make it stand out against its black backdrop. But our experts argue that the most interesting part about this Ultra Boost is that it boasts Braille branding on the tongue that plays up the Paralympic Games connection a bit more while adding another design element to the mix. The adidas Ultra Boost 20 Core Black Silver Metallic was released on August 1, 2020, when it retailed for $180.

Definitely a top 5 shoe for me! I have had my ultraboosts for 1 year now and I liked them so much that I bought a used pair off my friend as well! The material the soles are made of make it feel as the you’re walking on clouds! They are easily the most comfortable pair of shoes I’ve ever own! Between these and Nike Roshe Runs they’re the top 2 most comfortable/stylish shoes I’ve ever owned! I’d definitely recommend them to anyone even with the expensive price tag!!

When I first purchased these shoes, I thought to myself “I’m paying for some expensive a** adidas that are probably about to feel comfortable for just a few days. I’ve bought adidas before, never the ultra boost AND I kid you not these are my go-to’s when I just want to comfortably walk around and chill. It feels like a sock and in addition the style is fly, matched with most of my fits. Great support, great look, and most importantly they’re comfortable! You can’t go wrong buying you some ultra boost!

A great update to the ultraboost line!

This shoe is very comfortable! I wear a size 13 and it fits true-to-size. I have at least 2 pairs from each yearly iteration of the Ultraboost and I think this is the best so far. Despite it feeling a bit heavier than the '19s, the wider knitting of the Primeknit material makes it feel more relaxed, aesthetically pleasing, and less tight on the foot. All in all, I would greatly recommend it for running, gym workout, or ordinary walking. Another great one from Adidas!

Comfortable Shoes that Make You Stand Out
14 January 2021

I have always been a fan of the UltraBoost series. I think everyone should have a pair of nice ultraboosts for a casual night out with friends. These are the coolest looking ones that I have seen, every time I wear them I get compliments about them! It has gotten to the point I wear them mainly on dates or when I want to impress people. Just like any white sneakers, they can easily get dirty. I would recommend buying a waterproof spray and spraying them a few times before use. They are also extremely comfortable! If I wasn't worried about them getting dirty, I would be wearing them all the time!

Don't waste your money.

I had these shoes for 6 months. I did not run in them. I walked outside on pavement during nice days. Did not wear them in snow or use them for lawn work, anything like that. Within less than 6 months, and using them less than daily for walking, the Continental tire on the bottom of my left shoe came off exposing some plastic bits within the shoe. The shoes are now completely unusable. I've never experienced a shoe deteriorate like that from normal use in such a short period of time. If I was a runner, I would imagine that these shoes wouldn't last 3 months. For the price of these shoes, it's inexcusable.

Fantastic shoe for casual wear or distance running
6 August 2020

I've owned this shoe for a little over a month now, and I don't think I'll want to try another running shoe for awhile. The design of the shoe is beautiful, as the gold really stands out. The stripes on the side look painted on, and are only slightly imperfect. It's hard to tell unless you look at the shoe very closely. The shoe is a little heavier than my previous running/casual shoe, the Nike Flyknits. The tradeoff is fair, because the sole of the shoe absorbs a lot of impact while distance running on sidewalks. And it is not excessive for everyday wear in the office. My only other complaint thus far is that the tongue of the shoe can flip and fold downward, obscuring the logo. These shoes provide next-level comfort and great performance so far. I like that they’re not as tight in the upper as the Ultraboost 19s. My only complaint is that the tongue constantly folds over, hiding the Adidas logo.

Favorite shoe I've ever owned
6 October 2020

I use my white pair of Ultra Boost's as a comfortable and stylish shoe for casual wear. I would wear running and hiking if I didn't care about them saying white although I think they would hold up very well in the wash if you wanted to wear them harder than I do. I own another black pair that I have used on 15 mile + hikes without any pain or damage. My black pair is my go to shoe that I have worn about 5 of every 7 days. The Continental rubber sole doesn't wear down like at all! The sizing has been accurate. I hope that Ultra Boost's stay around for a long time!

Fixed my foot problems
13 September 2020

I had some severe pain from metatasalgia, a nasty condition that is causes pain in the ball of your foot. Every step can feel like you are stepping on a sharp pebble that feels like its stuck in your shoe.I had been wearing Skechers. Comfy but little to no support. I saw my foot doctor and her recommend trying different shoes and wearing a hard orthodic for support.I had heard alot about the comfort of Ultraboost and thought it was just hype. It is not hype. Its not even close Ultraboost is by far the most comfortable and cushioned shoe I have ever worn. The support is also really good.

Trust the negative reviews
29 November 2020

If you take a time to look through the one-star reviews, you'll see that the shoes have a serious quality issue. Mine lasted less than 6 months. I don't know how Adidas can justify charging a consumer $150-plus dollars for shoes that fall apart. Don't waste your money. I used mine to walk in on sidewalks, and they detoriated in 5 and 1/2 months. Imagine running in these! They would last 3 months! I have Nikes from 2 years ago that have no issues. Again, it's just not worth it.
