I use these shoes for running. I would recommend getting a 1/2 size smaller than your normal running shoes. I ignored the other reviews and initially bought my normal size 9. However, they were huge! They were even too big for my inserts. So, I ordered a size 8.5 instead. The fit on the 8.5 was much better. I love the flexibility & breathability of the knit upper and the traction and durability of the outsole. However, I do have a few complaints, which is why I am going to return them. Firstly, with my custom inserts, the footbed feels too shallow which causes my heel to slip out, or feel like it's going to slip out. Also, for some reason, my foot does not sit right in my inserts with these shoes. The heel of my foot sits on the edge of my inserts which causes ... MoreI use these shoes for running. Lastly, the upper does not seem to be waterproof. Overall, I think if you are not wearing inserts, these shoes would be fine. I am bummed to have to return them because I do love the knit upper!

I got these shoes as a birthday gift from my boyfriend as he knew I wanted them. By far the most expensive shoes I’ve ever gotten so I want them to be worth it. They are extremely comfortable and I love the fit, but the quality of the shoe really bugs me. There is extra glue all over the shoes around all the edges and even on the cloth portion of the shoes at the toe so it’s really noticeable. When I went to go exchange them (thinking this might just be a defect with this one pair of shoes) they brought out 2 other pairs of the same shoes but both of these also had glue all over them including the tip of the shoe on the cloth, one even had small pieces of rubber pealing off the shoe. I understand adidas mass produce these shoes but when someone is spending $200 on a ... MoreI got these shoes as a birthday gift from my boyfriend as he knew I wanted them. I have ordered another pair, in hopes that they are better looking than the last 3 I’ve seen. If not I’m going with a different shoe unfortunately.

UNBELIEVABLE!!! I normally have a grave yard of running shoes... new balance... mizunos... and last was Brooke's. I thought I had met my soulmate with Brooke's running shoe. But this one caught my eye and the design looked like it just might fit my needs. So I went ahead and splurged on a brand that I thought I would never invest in. All I can say is this, and I NEVER DO REVIEWS, I have never had a running show with this performance and glide. I am getting back into running after a hard surgery 2 years ago and this shoe makes me feel like I have never stopped running. I have no shin splints, my gate is graceful with no rebound (its like running on a cloud-no other way to explain it) and it makes it hard for me to stop (Kinda feel like Forrest Gump-but still). The only thing that has hindered my running is my endurance with breathing. That is fixable naturally. My legs and knees and feet.... the shoes work perfectly to protect me from injury, especially since I am working on my gait and endurance again! Perfect engineering in this shoe. Totally in love!
I am a marathoner with a foot issue. Shocking, right?! I have tried so many shoes. I love the UltraBoost. I have a high arch and plantar issues (PF that lead to a plantar nerve impingement.) Was finally told to toss all the stability shoes and orthotic inserts (by a Foot and Ankle Orthopedic Surgeon) and try a cushy neutral shoe and let my foot do what feet are supposed to do. We went with the Asics Gel Nimbus. I really enjoyed the shoe but felt heavy and just like a whole lot of shoe! I still like that shoe but wanted something lighter and faster to alternate with. Tried the UltraBoost and seem to keep picking it over the Asics. I ran a pretty quick TRAIL half marathon in the UltraBoost yesterday and the ONLY reason I regret that decision is because now they are ... MoreI am a marathoner with a foot issue. Shocking, right?! Tried the UltraBoost and seem to keep picking it over the Asics. I ran a pretty quick TRAIL half marathon in the UltraBoost yesterday and the ONLY reason I regret that decision is because now they are all muddy =) They did as well on the muddy, debris-strewn trail as they perform on the road. Though my plantar issues remain unresolved. My foot continues to very (verrrry) slowly improve as I run in these shoes. It did not bother me in the least during the race yesterday. Great shoe ... FANTASTIC shoe. I hope it holds up as it is a pricey shoe! I have run about 100 miles in them. Oh, I have a very narrow foot and if you do not, I would recommend trying them on first. They do seem maybe a bit narrower in the toe box from other shoes I have tried but they are just perfect for me! And man do they look cool!
I used this shoe for the longevity of the product before reviewing. I'm 5'2'', 135 lbs, marathoner, road run about 45 miles per week, 10 miles on treadmill per week. At first, you will love the feel of these shoes. They are by far the most comfortable shoe I have ever owned, let alone run in. The ultra boost foam technology is superb on treadmills and on the roads. My biggest two complaints are that I wore these shoes out at 205.4 miles. The foam is fully exposed in the heel area and is causing me knee pain from the first mile - a huge sign that the shoe is DONE. This is unacceptable. For what these shoes cost, I expect to get at least 300 miles on them before they cause any amount of discomfort. For what these shoes cost, I expect to get at least 300 miles on them before they cause any amount of discomfort. I also use Superfeet green insoles, which extend the life of my shoes, but they were irrelevant in this case. I feel like these shoes are meant for casual wear instead of actual running. Also, I have been running in them in the summer and they do not handle sweat well. I tried wearing them on my long runs, but after mile 9 or so, the sweat would cause my foot to "slide" in the shoe with every slight turn. I found that the traction inside the shoe itself was very poor - probably because of the "slip-on" design the shoe has. I recommend these shoes on the treadmill, but if you're running outdoors, they probably won't last very long.
One of the few running shoes I can wear without blistering. There is no separate tongue and it has completely free and flexible sides in the toe box area. It's like wearing a thick sock. That said, I still wish these came in a wider width to accommodate swelling during long runs. I'm fine up until then, but after about 12 miles, my feet start to ache in them. However, that is more likely due to my specific anatomy than anything else and a personal wish to express to Adidas.I own both the purple and the black. It would be fun if Nordstrom carried the orange, too. I'd gladly pick it up. Speaking of which, I like that these are "classy" in style. So many running shoes look like they were designed by graduates of clown college. I feel chic wearing these on the trail and though that's not the most important thing, it really helps me to feel pretty when I'm otherwise suffering through a hard workout. My running coach is pretty specific about shoe drop among other things and this model fits all her demanding criteria to keep us injury free, strong and efficient. I will be running my upcoming marathon in these. The instructions say go up a half size. I always run in a full size up from my normal street shoe....for what that's worth.
I really wanted to love these, but should have listened to the reviews that stated they don't provide enough stability. I have run numerous marathons and always worn Asics, but noticed the quality of Asics is no longer what it once was. After much debate, decided to give the boost a try. When I put them on they are super soft and do fit according to my correct shoe size. When I attempted to run on the treadmill, they felt loose and have absolutely no stability, my feet were slipping all around the shoes. I promptly took them off and loaded them back in the free return box and sent them on their way. Not for me. I have had plantar fasciitis and hip issues, so require more support and stability. Very grateful Road Runner has free returns. I'll purchase from them again ... MoreI really wanted to love these, but should have listened to the reviews that stated they don't provide enough stability. I spent about 1-2 months look for these shoes in size 7 and in the black color. I was able to try on a size 7.5 in white in an adidas store so I knew that I could fit a size 7 as I'm usually in between that half size, depending on the shoe and brand. The shoe is very sleek and lightweight in my hands. When I tried them on at the store, I was so amazed by how they felt on my feet. And if one could feel elation putting on shoes, that was me when I put these on again in the correct size! Everyone says to go half a size down, and I agree! There's a bit of wiggle room for me, which isn't a problem should I choose to wear thicker socks. So definitely go half a size down! They hug my feet so comfortably that I never want to take them off ever. These are the most expensive trainers that I've bought, but worth every penny. I have yet to test them out by running or going to the gym, but I don't have any worries since there are so many great reviews already about these ultra boosts.
I wanted to love these so bad but unfortunately they didn’t last more than 5 minutes on. The top of the shoe is so tight idk how skinny your feet have to be cause mine turned purple. Ouch. Plenty of toe room otherwise and super comfy arch support but unfortunately it for me. Looks like I have to continue shoe hunting.
