The adidas Ultra Boost 1.0 Wool Grey became the first Ultra Boost to have a Primeknit upper made of wool. Initially released in 2015, the original colorway came back in 2020 with a true-to-OG design and fashion. It comes with a distinctive styling that makes it ideal for year-round wear. The adidas Ultra Boost 1.0 Wool Grey has a black outsole and a white midsole. Silver and grey cover the entire base of the sneaker. A grey overlay features the classic three stripes and keeps the laces in place. Toward the heel, there's another overlay in a darker grey for some contrast. The wool Primeknit gives the shoe a unique look, and the grey makes it blend in with the other design elements of the shoe. The adidas Ultra Boost Wool Grey released in August of 2015 for $180.

I personally am using my ultra boost for lifestyle purposes. I run in Asics because I overpronate but I wanted to try these out for every day. Man these are awesome! They are some of the most cushioned shoes that I've ever tried and the combination with their primeknit material is top notch. I've tried Nike flyknit racers & lunars before but this beats them by a mile. The primeknit really does mold around your foot and leaves you secure, unlike Nike flyknit in my experience. The boost foam is just right in the amount of softness but also firm so you don't feel like you're sinking into your shoe and the foam holds up well. The only negative I can say about the shoe is the traction. the bottom will wear away very quick because it is so thin. For that I don't feel it's ... MoreI personally am using my ultra boost for lifestyle purposes. I run in Asics because I overpronate but I wanted to try these out for every day. I've worn almost every type/brand of shoe you can imagine over the last 8 years. I'm a neutral runner averaging between 40-60 miles a week, not elite by any status but fairly experienced from a distance standpoint having run 2 PB marathon(s) (3hr 6min) and having completed a 314 mile solo Multi-Day run thus far in 2015. So if you're a distance runner, we probably share some things in common in regard to experiences.Like most I am constantly looking for the best thing. When I started running, I was into the "running" brands. Mizuno, Saucony, Brooks, etc. Next was the minimalist phase, Vibram (very briefly), inov8 and Altra.... Then came a year long Hoka One One phase... I was always hesitant when it came to "mainstream" brands. I had NEVER had good experience w/ Nike ... MoreI've worn almost every type/brand of shoe you can imagine over the last 8 years. I had NEVER had good experience w/ Nike and figured I would find the same when it came to Adidas...well...I didn't.I've been w/ Adidas since the launch of the original Energy Boost, stepping away to try the SpringBlade (mistake) and then back w/ the Boost. These shoes are perfect for me (and hopefully for you too), especially the Ultra's. It's the right mix of everything, comfortable, durable, light, breathable and stable. If you haven't tried, try them...trust me !!

Everyone seems to love Nike running shoes and I don't understand why, bc they are not nearly as supportive for your feet as the energy boosts. Since Adidas came out with "boost" shoes I have bought 4 pairs. I run about 40 miles a month, outside or gym, and after 6 months of running with one pair, I use them as work shoes for another 6 months. I still own the other 3 pairs of shoes, and these newest ones I bought are the best in terms of comfort. I run 3 miles or so at a time, and they withstand the concrete, grass, trail, etc.
Super lightweight and comfortable. I have a narrow foot so these were perfect for me. Very "Spongy" ride, if that's what you're looking for. Great for treadmill and pavement. Don't know how long this sole will last though....already showing wear. Great shoe...a little too pricey to show wear so quickly!
This is by far one of the best running shoes I have purchased. It has great heel support and cushion for hard surfaces and outdoor terrain.
I felt Adidas tried to get goo fancy with these running shoes. They don't tie the shoe tight like a traditional shoe. Instead you tie the webbing around the shoe tight. As a result, the shoe isn't as snug on my feet and my heal kept slipping out. Diassaoointing.
I bought the original Boost when they came out and they quickly became my favorite shoe. These are a great update. I now can rotate these shoes since I run daily. The Boost foam is a savior for my ankles. I like the fit and the material breathes a bit more on the Ultra Boost. I didn't think I would like the one piece of the Ultra Boost compared to the tongue on the original but now I prefer it. It slips on and off easily and the laces don't really need to be tightened. The toe box expands nicely and the tread grips well. I bought them a half size bigger as the original suggested. Great shoe!
Amazing shoe! Give it a chance. My legs don't feel stressed after races. Believe that hypebeast!
although the price point is on the higher end of the spectrum, I have logged about 180 miles and they still haven't begun to show any major signs of wear. I am now a Boost believer after switching from Saucony's Kinvara 2/3/4. I had issues running outside when using a gel cushioning system because of extremely cold temps which made them hard as a rock. for whatever reason boost doesn't seem to change its cushioning feel when it's sub-freezing! must have for cold weather running.
