My experience has been mixed. On one hand, the design and eye-catching color are really attractive and stand out in any outfit. However, the comfort leaves much to be desired. The sole is quite rigid and does not provide the necessary cushioning for long periods of use, which can be uncomfortable, especially if you walk a lot. Additionally, the size was a bit tight compared to other Adidas models I have tried. If you are looking for style, these sneakers are great, but if comfort is your priority, you may want to look for other options.

Heads up on the sizing

I love my Sambas. Adidas is consistently large in sizing but not consistent in how much larger. For example, in the Superstar and Stan Smith, I only have to go down 1/2 a size. I would say go down a full size with the Samba. Here is my explanation...I am most consistently a UK 38. That is the sizze that best fits my foot. Typically that is a US size 7/7.5. For sneakers I wear a 7.5/8 for Nike or Reebok. I went with a 7 as that's what I get in Stan Smiths and Superstar for Adidas. The Samba are too long. Nice shoe!

Just purchased these in a size 6.5. I normally wear 6.5 - 7 depending on the shoe/brand. And my feet are wide too, and these comfortably fit my feet in the toe box, no crowding! The 7 was way too big, I tried on the 6.5 and ended up purchasing. I'm wondering now if I should have gone with the 6, they seem just a tad too big. The back of the shoe rubs on my heel causing blisters, not sure if that's from the size i chose or just the shoe itself. Other than that, the shoe looks great and feels good otherwise.

Not as pictured: not hairy/gritty suede as described.

Bought the Navy/Off White since they matched the ad Adidas is running on Fb, navy with hairy suede, that are not showing on Adidas website. I received the same ones than the Adidas website that are navy with cream smooth suede. They are cute but definitely not the ones pictured with hairy suede. Adding a side by side with my preloved crimson / blue that do have gritty / hairy suede.Does it need to be brushed off? It doesn’t say.

Samba OG Women size 7

I am a size 7.5. I have to size down to a 7 for a perfect fit. Soft shoes. I walked for an hour with the shoes right out of the box, with long socks. Comfortable, no issues at all. The leather is supple. It feels like walking on sleepers. No much arch support but for me are super comfortable. After reading reviews I was concerned about two issues: slippery on wet surfaces or rain making causing people to fall, and hurting ankles to the point of blistering or bleeding. I am wearing the shoes with high socks for at least a week, not using the blower hack, but I dont have any issue so far with hurting or blisters, actually I am impressed about comfort and how fast the leather softened. I am not planning to wear the shoes when rain is on weather forecast, nevertheless, I was on a restaurant with barely moist floors under the table, the shoes felt like roller skates in the heel area. The heel area did not have any grip sliding (scary) while the front area has more grip. I managed to walk slowly and very carefully leaving the area. I purchased a sole grip spray hoping it will solve the issue. I am thankful for all the reviewers posting the slippery issue, it saves me to slide and fall because I was aware, and sadly I found it is true. Otherwise, wonderful shoes.

So Versatile!

I've been stalking these Sambas for months! They have been hard to find, but finally located them in my size at Dick's! I love the low profile -- easy to wear with pants/jeans, athleisure wear, and dresses/skirts. I usually have to size up 1/2 size in sneakers, but these fit perfect at my regular size 9. Only challenge was finding the perfect no-show socks to go with them (I'm too old to do the crew socks!). I have found that my Converse Chuck Taylor socks work great. Now I just want more Sambas in different colors!

So happy to have both pairs!

I first purchased the original OG’s and I live in them. I was stalking this 2nd pair in the black and cream combo but my size was always out of stock. For reference, I’m a size 8 men’s/9 women’s in the unisex OG white ones. So when I saw the black ones available in the women’s 9.5, I decided to pull the trigger and see if they would work. Surprisingly, they’re perfect! They fit identical to my other unisex ones in size 9, which surprised me. So these black ones run slightly smaller. I’m thrilled to have both pairs! I also purchased a third pair in the all cream w/ black stripes, but I found those to have a very peachy yellow undertone, which I didn’t care for. So I returned those. I highly recommend the white OGs and black/cream suede ones if you can your hands on them.

Stiff heel

Let me start by saying I love these!! They go with everything! I tried them on with long jeans, ankle jeans, baggy, straight cut, dresses, sweats, everything! However, when I’m trying them on I can’t walk comfortably because the back heel top is so stiff it digs right into my heel. I want to love these so bad and keep them but I’m going to have to sit there and bend them for hours before I’d be comfortable wearing them out unfortunately. I received another pair that had light gold stripes and they were so soft from the moment I put them on. So I don’t know what the deal is with these. Fit is true to size. Very deep heel cup -- not for me

I love the look of this shoe, which isn't always the best reason to make a purchase -- I admit to giving into my weaknesses. They felt great on first try. I have fussy feet, so I expected I would need to "adjust." But a relatively short walk ended up giving me gouges on both upper heels. My feet sat too low in the shoe, and the back sat too high. I should have recognized this sooner, but I was determined to "break them in." The holes in my heels healed and I tried again. No luck at all. The rubbing was terrible and broke the skin on both heels again. Lesson learned. I need a low profile shoe with a shallow heel cup. These are not that. I still like the way they look.
