Very short AAA battery life.Which means radio preselect stations needs retuning when they go flat. Tried all types of batteries with the same result. Not recommended much better alternatives. Reception average

Good Radio BUT
23 May 2021

Bought this radio about a year ago for my garage and it works perfectly. The main issue I have is the need to replace the small AAA batteries so often. The cure is to use good quality alkaline batteries like Duracell which have almost 1.6 volts when new. Cheaper batteries only have about 1.5 volts when new. Even when using Duracells I've only got about a month out of them and no, they are not flat, only dropped 0.1 volts - but enough to loose the station presets and time. Disappointed.

Good, basic jobsite radio

Received as part of a sales promotion. Its the Non Bluetooth model but has auxiliary input lead and cumbersome phone holder on back of unit. Reasonable quality sound and volume. If I was to purchase one I would definitely want Bluetooth connectivity

Horrible Reception
7 February 2020

I have had this for over to years. Really disappointed with it. I have tried using it around all of Sydney metro. The reception is horrible.Works great with Bluetooth connected to my phone but for that my ear buds are fine.Very sorry I wasted my money buying it.

Not a good radio.

I got this radio as a replacement to the earlier model fail. This one drives me nuts. Has backup batteries I assume holds presets. The go flat in a day so every time I turn it on I have to reset the presets. A VERY BAD AEG PRODUCT

Terrible reception
2 May 2019

It's OK.. I've got last year's model which has Bluetooth and 240v and paid more than what you would for this one. It's average at best. Sound is OK, not loud at all so good if you're working nearby. Not great for anything more than 15m away. The thing that really gets me is the reception.. I struggle to get local stations in built up suburban areas. Drives me nuts. Mines got digital radio as well.. No idea how it works in Nz. For the several hundred dollars this plus a battery cost me, I would have been better off with a $50 transistor radio.

Works well, but not too loud.

Got this as part of a promotion. The radio lasted over a week before charging (18v). Used roughly 3-4 hours a day. So battery life is excellent with this one. Does not have bluetooth so it has limited connectivity, however has an auxiliary port. (phones with no headphone jack will not be able to connect). Not as loud as I would like, have heard louder bluetooth speakers. But I guess that helps maintain battery life.Rugged and well built. Has fallen/thrown and used at the beach with no issues.Reception was a hit and miss. Car would get radio signal, but the radio sitting next to the car couldn't, so find that strange. Could be the short antenna or the rubber cover over the top of it or just poor internals. If I was to purchase one, I'd purchase the bigger radio ... MoreGot this as part of a promotion.
