Purchased 6 pack of AEG 18V 6.0Ah FORCE KIT. 2 Batteries were included. Upon opening and using realised that this is some kit. Great feel and good balanced weight in hand. Fantastic power with really good run time. Extra batteries with twin charger was a no brainer. Thumbs up AEG.EXCELLENT PACKAGE.

There are some good reviews here but I am quite disappointed with the performance of the AEG 18V Pro 6.0Ah battery. Charges up to 4 lights and goes flat on 2 lights. Only 10 months old and charged maybe 40 times. Seems a lot to pay $189 to replace it.

I have been looking forward to getting an AEG 9.0 amper for a while . All i can say is - its impressed me that much with its huge run time , that ive just been back to bunnings to get a second one . I have a few different brands of tools and i have to say AEG rules supreme over them ALL for value , grunt and especially battery life . This AEG 18v 9.0ah on my AEG angle grinder lasts just as long as the 18v milwaukee angle grinder i have with a 12.0ah battery on it ! Im now replacing all my 18v tools with AEG

I purchased a 9ah battery to power my AEG hedge trimmer and pole saw as i had a rather wild hedge that needed taming and didnt want to keep swapping batteries every 15 minutes. I was pleasantly surprised with this batteries capacity. I got 30 solid minutes of work with the hedge trimmer then swapped it onto the pole saw for another 30 minutes work and i still had half charge. Brilliant battery for big jobs and perfect for yard work in my opinion.
O.K. I shouldn't complain ... it was free after all but that graph on the side of the box showing how it outperformed the standard pro batteries got me excited !!In reality compared to 3 year old 4ah batteries this was poor .... more like a 2ah battery which we also have ...I really hope all the Force batteries aren't this bad because that would just destroy what appears to be quite a good tool range ....
I bought this battery because my 6.0Ah wasn't quite getting me through jobs. This battery easily does a full front and back yard whipper snipping, and makes the reciprocating saw cut through hardwood posts like butter. The only thing to note is how HUGE it is - it barely fits in my hands, making it awkward to handle, and weighs 1.16 KG.
I have been using 2 of the old style Pro Li 6.0Ah batteries with an AEG Fusion Reciprocating Saw to cut through some gnarly palm tree roots and other buried roots - very very tough going.The old style batteries would thermal or over-current shutdown well before they ran out of power, even from fully charged.This new Force battery goes hard up until it runs out of juice, packing more punch and without thermal or over-current throttling. The result, I can run this single Force battery for longer than 2 of the old style batteries during high load operation.Only downside is the cost, but it's worth having one for the tough jobs!Note, it's a touch longer than the Pro Li style but not noticeably heavier.
Three of the AEG 6.0 Ah batteries supplied with AEG tools purchased over the past six years went flat from full charge within a few minutes use after only a month from date purchased had elapsed. Non genuine batteries are currently available for $60 each. Hopefully this new battery is an improvement on those batteries I purchased.
Bought top of the range twin battery pack with various cordless AEG tools thinking they would last a lifetime. With very little use one battery completely died after only two years. Bunnings said AEG are tough on out of warranty claims so just bin it. So much for any back up service. Stick to cheaper range!
I thought I was upgrading my battery drill set by going to AEG. I had a very old bosh outfit and decided to go with a new outfit to see me with a new reliable set in my retirement. I am by no means a heavy user but a handyman at best and with the old bosh lasting so long though a new set would see me out. Just after the batteries were out of the extended warranty they started to deteriorate quickly. I contacted AEG and got the brush off as the warranty had expired. Very disappointed in the battery life. Now the runtime is only about 10 minutes on a 6AH battery. My old bosh does better on 2 AH and is now approximately 8 years old. So much for upgrading.
