I'd originally started my AEG kit as a home-use tool brand, but quickly realized that their durability and built quality is fit for industrial use too. This Recip saw was no exception to the fact. It feels very solid, has a quiet purr to it, and doesn't overheat like another brand I've used. Very happy to have this addition to my AEG toolbag.

Good solid tool at the right price. Works well and worth having with your tool collection. Would have been difficult doing some of my Reno tasks without this gem. I love using it and so glad I finally bought one. AEG tools are of good quality at the right price. Ive has it for a few months now and have no cons so far.

I recently purchased this machine as my old cheap one broke. As I already had the 18v batteries and the price was good.it also has good features such as the foot plate can be fixed angle or floating, it can also be adjusted in depth to suit what you are cutting through. There is also a LED light to enable visablity in those dark areas. The body size is not to large to hold ontoThe weight is not too heavy

Great for Demo type workFit a decent size battery and it does a great job.Good stroke length.Cuts faster than the old modelNot too heavy
Used this with a 9 inch pruning blade. Cuts really well. Also purchased a 12 inch pruning blade for it. I prefer this reciprocarting saw over the 18V chainsaw. Much more compact and versatile. Also, no dripping bar oil to deal with nor worry about topping it up. Just change blades when needed. Changing the blade takes like 10 seconds. Would highly recommend for pruning tasks.
I've had AEG 18V tools for the last 5 years or so and all the tools have been great, even the 4yrold 4.0AH batteries still work and hold charge. I upgraded some of the tools to the Force kit and this saw came in the kit. The way it cuts is next level. It just grips into the subject being cut and slices it, probably 10 times more powerful than the OmiTool Saw Head/Attachment and that was alright too. I cut a medium size tree down with it piece of cake (25cm or so diameter) with the blade included after removing the safe guard to expose the entire blade.
Overall it is a very handy tool and my first reciprocating saw and I would recommend one for any home handyman or builder. Not sure how I did these jobs without one.It is being used on a home renovation and is being used daily.Good blades make all the difference, especially the general purpose demolition blades with tungsten teeth, as they cut wood with nails.Only issue I have found is that the guide foot lock, which had a positive clip lock when new is now lose and not working. But that doesn't affect the cutting performance. Also I haven't found the Orbital action handy as it makes the tool and cut jumpy and had to get a clean result.
Budgeted and bought this saw specifically for a demolition job. Couldn't have done the job without it. Cut timber with screws & nails, cut up a fibreglass spa bath in no time. Paid for itself in time saved.
This was a redemption item, but has become the most useful tool I own. My old petrol chainsaw finally died and this came to the rescue with better and more efficient results.
Had saw for about 2 weeks and today I cut down an old fence that needed replacing. With a 9.0 ah force battery I made 30+ cuts through 100x75 railings and 100x100 posts. Battery still had 2 bars on the gauge so quite impressed really.Have also bought a pruning blade so my wife who is a horticulturist can use it for pruning fruit trees. I know it will over perform without a doubt.
