I love this bag. simple design fits close to the body, and is never bulky, while also holding all of my necessities and commodities. It's a tough bag, and I really enjoy the fidlock buckles. (awesome design choice!) those buckles make you feel like a space cowboy. Overall, this bag goes with almost any outfit, with its variety of carry options, I can wear it slung over my body with a T or long sleeve, over my shoulder with a jacket, or just by the carry handle itself. I'm in love with its careful functionality and simplistic form. Give the designers a bonus if you can, cause this is awesome! Thank you, Aer for thinking about the travelers, citygoers, and all those in between.

This is a great sling ⌠almost perfect! Iâve been using it for everyday carry for about 6 weeks. If manages all my needs and keeps things organized and easily accessible. I have had a couple of times when the magnet buckle has come undone, and thatâs a bit unsettling. I got the olive, and wish I had purchased the black, but itâs such a nice bag that I can overlook the olive. My only slight complaint is that the strap is a little rough. I wish it had the same smooth seat belt material that is on the City sling. With that change, it would be perfect!

My favourite piece of EDC. It just works. The Fidlock is soooo smooth. I can throw my Nintendo switch in it, plus phone, slim wallet, first aid bits, sunglasses plus lots of other small handy items and still have space for snacks for my 3 kids. Pretty much in full dad mode with this thing. When choosing my sling, it was between the Day Sling 3, Day Sling 3 Max, Bellroy Venture, Alpaka Go Sling Mini, Defy Insidious Jr, Tom Bihn or Code Of Bell X-Pod, and this Day Sling 3 strikes the perfect balance between size, functionality, design, practicality and comfort. I do wish it had the Fidlock V-Buckle thatâs found on the Alpaka and X-Pod for the more robust and techy design. The Fidlock Snap-Buckle on the Day Sling 3 works great, but personal preference is that extra bit ... MoreMy favourite piece of EDC. It just works. The Fidlock is soooo smooth. I've never carried more than I could fit in my pockets. Keys, wallet, phone, (and the occasional medicine). I bought this sling specifically for a vacation to Hawaii because I sometimes walk around with wet swim shorts. I wore it everyday on vacation, and it was so convenient and perfect that it has become part of my everyday wear even after I have returned home. The xpac materials are great. The orange interior is eye catching. There are enough storage pockets and dividers to keep everything organized. I like that the front pocket with the key leash is just a dump pocket. Having further organization in that pocket would be counterproductive. The rear (secret) compartment is perfect for sensitive documents. Love that the zipper pull on that pocket is stashable and does not get in the way. The main pocket is fantastic. Just the right amount of organization. Love the zipper compartment within the main compartment for meds, masks, ear plugs, cables. The one part of the sling i was most worried about was the fidlock buckle. I was afraid it would be too flimsy and the buckle would become unbuckled at random. After 2 weeks of daily wear I am happy to say that it has never become disengaged unless I did it purposefully. Overall i'm very happy with this sling
The perfect travel sling.I travel fairly often and have a few core items I always keep with me. My Sony over ear headphones (XM3), iPad 5th gen (9.7â), charge cables, small power bank for when Iâm on the move, ear buds (AirPods or the like), small notepad, pen, hygiene items (wipes, chapstick and sanitizer) and my sunglasses. After discovering this fits the iPad I own I was very curious as these items all fit into my bag but forced me to keep my bag at my feet while i was in flight in case I needed something. Now with this the Day Sling 3 Max, I can keep ALL of my in flight essentials in a compact bag and can enjoy the full space for my feet as my bag is stowed up in the overhead bin. Perfect for your inflight needs!
Simply the best.I did a lot of research to find the best bag to free my pockets and this checked all the boxes. The quality of this piece is seriously top tier. Outstanding really, i canât say enough good about it.I usually never do reviews no matter if a product is good or bad, but the moment I got this bag in hand I knew it was all that.. and then some. So when I got the email to review it shortly after purchasing I decided to give it some time and really live with it. To give it a solid longterm review. (Which i have never done before) Now about 11 months later I went back to that same email I left there in my inbox lol to confidently say it is, the Best.Thank you Aer!
I actually really liked the bag itself, but the strap made it nearly unusable. The strap is very rough on the edges and it actually hurt my neck to wear it through the airport (when I'm also wearing a backpack and my hands are too full to hold the strap away from my bare neck) during my recent trip. I'm looking into getting a slip-on strap padding for it or even doing a DIY strap replacement if I can figure out how to use a sewing machine. I also thought the front pocket's zipper was a bit too sticky and found myself using the main compartment instead of the front compartment for more frequently used items. I was also interested in a brighter interior that the XPAC version has, but had heard that all of the zippers on the XPAC are sticky, so I went with this one ... MoreI actually really liked the bag itself, but the strap made it nearly unusable. I purchased this to use as my personal item when I travel. I prefer carry on only so this is paired with a 30L bag. I needed a personal item bag that was large enough to carry my small wallet, travel documents, including some printed 8-1/2x11 folded copies of my itinerary other printed docs etc. (yes I still use some paper) that will not be ruined in something smaller. I will use the tablet section for these. In addition it needs to carry some long haul flight essentials, earbuds, pens, wipes and the like. It also could not be too big to carry around town as a sling upon arriving. I appreciate the x pac fabric that gives an elevated urban vibe, not straight up âcargoâ. 6 liters does all this perfectly. I am still looking for a reason it wouldnât work for me and, I ... MoreI purchased this to use as my personal item when I travel. I prefer carry on only so this is paired with a 30L bag. Ok, like many people I suspect looking for the perfect sling I combed the internet and watched countless of youtube reviews from many who have compared all these slings to those who actually own them, when I mean I combed the internet my wife can verify I actually created a spreadsheet compare all the brands out there Pro's & Con's. I know we all have different wants and needs for what a sling should deliver out of capacity, material, fit, feel, water repellent, color exterior/interior, hardware, YKK zippers, zipper water proofing, key chain, strap buckle the old tried/ tru plastic click button or the newer options of magnetic buckles such as Fidlock, stow away straps, ballistic nylon or X-Pac nylon etc then comes style and price point. I ordered the day sling for my wife and city sling 2 for my self for an upcoming trip we are doing from the US to Spain. I purchased both in the X-Pack material and so glad we did, the material looks great, feel even better and nothing sticks to it so it stays clean and new looking. We both loved everyone about both slings and felt we made right choice after comparing so many! We love the orange contrasting interior color, makes it so much easier to see your contents inside. Both slings offer plenty of storage and compartments for everything we want to carry yet keep it light enough such as sun glasses, phone, wallet, passport, hand wipes, Patagonia Houdini rain jacket shell, and a few more misc., items with plenty more room to use. We didn't want to carry backpacks for day fun in and out of the citifies or trains and move around light from our hotel to day trips around town. We all have our own requirements but for what we were looking for these are perfect. To Fidlock or Not!! haha The Fidlock is very secure, I tested it in many ways, I tried to pull it off my wife while she wore it cross body and its very secure, no worries there unlike like the Alpaka version Fidlock which came off if one tugged on it to hard. Side note both slings could also fit a small camera in addition to the items we listed above with no issues in addition electronic items, cables, back up cell phone charger etc.. We look forward to using both slings soon on our trip and putting them through the paces but for now we felt we made the right choice and most definitely the X-Pac Material is the way to go, very sleek looking!
After watching many YouTube videos (thank you, Pack Hacker) and reading many reviews. I decided to make the Aer Day Sling 3 my first EDC and travel sling. There wasn't much information on the X-Pac version but I went ahead and gave it a shot. I now regret buying the Travel Kit 2 in the standard Cordura. Don't get me wrong, it's a well-designed, structurally sound, kit. But the X-Pac version is next level. I'm in love with the orange lining. The stitching and construction are next level. The logo having a rubbery feel is a classy touch. I can't express how amazing the magnetic Fidlock feels. It was hard to use at first but is extremely easy to use after a few tries. I can't say with certainty, since I don't own the Cordura version but the X-Pac is softer and flatten out a bit when it's not full, which is really nice. I'm over the moon with my purchase and plan on purchasing more X-Pac versions of Aer's line of bags. The Travel Pack 3 in X-Pac will be my next purchase. The one negative about this whole experience is the fact that I could not find Aer products locally and had to take a shot in the dark. I really wish they offered free returns instead of charging $10. Otherwise, the items arrived quickly, and am extremely happy with my purchase.
