Hands down my favorite scent... maybe ever? I’ve been looking for a more “mature” scent so to speak (well, compared to Vera Wang’s Princess or Flowerbomb) and was playing around with the idea of Jo Malone’s Wood Sage/Sea Salt but could never really fall in love with the scent. I love the design of Aesop stores so when I see one I inevitably end up walking in and trying to see how many things I can sniff/peruse before I feel guilt-tripped into spending money. But when I smelled this, I instantly knew it was the one. I didn’t buy it then and there but couldn’t stop thinking about it and ended up going back a week later to buy it. Especially because they gave me a few samples at first which I ended up putting in my suitcase, and when I smelled my clothes fell In love ... MoreHands down my favorite scent... maybe ever? This sounds very dramatic but that’s how much I love this scent. It’s herbal and deep and woodsy to me but not overbearingly so. It lasts a reasonable amount of time. It is very pricey. I do not regret it. (And it was not because of the salespeople’s psychological tactics, as it tends to be for some of their other products.)

I've heard nothing but rave reviews about this perfume. This was another blind buy for me despite being skeptical about the basil note. Straight out of the bottle, I did not like it - the basil was too overpowering and I thought I smelt like pesto. However that is very fleeting and it dries down quickly to a fresher, woodier, almost grassy, natural scent that I really enjoy. It is not something I wear by itself, but I use it frequently to layer with other summer scents to make it more appropriate to the season (it is autumn in Australia at the moment). Recently I've been loving this layered with Aerin's Hibiscus Palm! Projection and sillage are moderate, and it lasts about 5 hours on me. I have tried all the fragrances from Aesop and although they are all unisex, this one is the floral one - it's Aesop's take on roses. Unlike most fragrances featuring roses, this one is more subtle - it's almost like rose buds with a bit of green in it. Personally I like to layer it up after using its other products (body wash etc) featuring rose scents. Overall it is a very classy rose scent, which makes it ideal for everyday wear.

I have tried different fragrances from Aesop and this one somehow to me is similar to Hywl, although they don't even belong to the same scent family. Compared to Howl, it is more floral and smoky. I like the strong herbal smell in it (that's why some of the other reviews say it smells like medicine) but personally can't think of an occasion to wear it other than just appreciating the designer's creation. Hence it's a four-star from me.
I don’t like leaving a negative review so please note my comments are subjective, there’s nothing wrong objectively with the scent; it’s long lasting, complex and different. Personally the scent just isn’t for me, it is very herbal, which it’s purports to be, but borderline medicinal. I would definitely describe it as a more masculine scent and just isn’t to my personal taste. Let the perfume settle in, it’s less medicinal after it’s been on for a bit but still not for me.
Aesop RĹŤzu Eau de Parfum is an amazing scent. It's subtle yet powerful, making it perfect for a night out or just a casual day. I love the hints of citrus, rose and sandalwood in the fragrance - they blend together perfectly to create a unique and delightful aroma. I'm so glad I tried this fragrance and would definitely recommend it to others!
Purchased this untested as I own all the current fragrances offered by Aesop. The rose scent is not as pronounced-the fragrance leans more towards a woody peppery accent. It smells like a softer Hwyl if the incense was replaced with roses.Sillage (the projection of the scent) isn't strong which may lead wearers to think it isn't long lasting. However Rozu doesn't last as long as other Aesop fragrances-it fades quickly after approximately 3 hours.Rozu caused a rash on my sensitive skin-unusual for me as I own other Aesop fragrances. I'm unsure which scent ingredient is causing the rash.Rozu is great as a rose perfume for men to wear or for women who don't want to smell 'flowery' and more 'earthy'.If you are a fan of other Aesop fragrances, this is a lovely ... MorePurchased this untested as I own all the current fragrances offered by Aesop. The rose scent is not as pronounced-the fragrance leans more towards a woody peppery accent. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this scent. Imagine a mix of green grass, floral & citrus resulting in a vibrant, fresh and earthy perfume. This GENDER NEUTRAL scent will appeal to everyone and can be worn day & night. Made with a mix of Galbanum, Iris, Yuzu, you will have people asking you what fragrance you are wearing......guarantee it!
This is one of Aesop's newer fragrances. It is very special - it has the Aesop DNA but much bolder. When I sprayed it on my skin, I immediately notice the strong amber in it. Then I was sort of surrounded by smells of all kinds of flora in the forest and the forest is more in the dark than with any sunlight. It lingers on and lasts well. Personally I would say this is more of a night perfume for the winter.
I have yet to find an Aesop perfume that i do not like. Dangerous! All fragrances smell amazing and this one is no different. I love the was it evolves during the day and provide such a pleasant smell. It becomes addictive. So many compliments when I wear this.
