Love these “earphones”. The battery life is amazing and I like that they don’t fall out of my small ears because they don’t go in them! Sometimes I will wear them on very low volume at work and can still talk with my coworkers. 4/5 stars because I feel the sound quality could be slightly better. Also the magnetic charge cable is not something you can just pick up anywhere if you lose yours ( just order a backup). All in all I am a huge fan of these earphones and wear them snowboarding, walking the dog, doing chores or anything active really. Really easy to answer calls and adjust volume with well thought out button placement.

Like many people, I enjoy listening to things while exercising. In my case it is usually a podcast but also music. For years, I've been wearing conventional headphones while riding for this purpose. Always a challenge to find a setup that could be heard but not blocking the outside world TOO much. The Shokz simply solve that problem. I can hear just fine while hearing 95% of everything around me (there is still mental distraction and the fact that one is listening to something). It is so transparent that one can even hold a conversation without pausing. This does bring up a downside: Since they are so open, you HEAR the noises around. So that insanely loud truck, or the endless roar of high speed traffic will assault your ears. No worse than no headphones obviously ... MoreLike many people, I enjoy listening to things while exercising. In my case it is usually a podcast but also music. IMO, not audiophile territory (although my audiophile son was impressed). But more than adequate for purpose and sounds good. Fantastic for spoken word content (like podcasts)

Great overall, this is my second pair. These are tough and sound great. I’m a technician in the field and I handle tech support calls daily, the call clarity is top tier. My only complaint is the app has very little functionality and the in ear notification voice turns itself up and down and I have no way to turn it back up. Some times I can’t hear it at all. This does not affect or interact with call volume whatsoever. If They fix that it will be perfect. Battery stand by is phenomenal.

My truck was broken into and my case of my OpenRun Pro headphone charger and case were stolen. I attempted to get on the website and purchase a new cable and case but found I was unable to purchase a factory case to help protect my $200 investment in your headphones. This is my second pair and really like the headphones but really wanted a case which was designed specifically to these headphones as this is why my first pair had broken. I had the first model and only a loose bag to carry them in and this is what broke my first pair. This is why I was so adamant about getting a form fitting case like those when you buy the OpenRun Pro. I knew it would be expensive, maybe $40 for a case but was told by many different people I could not order a case. I was left with ordering. $29 case from Amazon (which we hate) but after receiving the case they fit very loosely in the case. Will they be protected, probably but still like the form fitting case which to better protect my expensive headphones. Will I buy another pair? Normally I would say yes but after the customer service I received and not having the ability to replace lost or stolen or damaged items, I will look elsewhere before I do.
After 3 months use, cycling, walking and day-to-day, I am delighted with my SHOKZ purchase. Sound is good enough for music, radio and audiobook. Not as good as in-ear buds but perfectly satisfactory when factors such as exceptional charge life (9 hrs), so comfortable & light I forget I am wearing them, sturdy - excellent build quality, gotten quite wet during cycle - no issues, tidy effective controls, excellent connectivity. While ear buds have their benefits, (I own many different types) they are easy to misplace/lose & can be uncomfortable in extended use. The SHOKZ are just so simple, convenient and well designed that they've become my go-to out & about audio companion. Of course, if it's listening to studio master quality audio, I reach for high-end cans. Based ... MoreAfter 3 months use, cycling, walking and day-to-day, I am delighted with my SHOKZ purchase. Definitely very good to hear surrounding noises and I'm even able to hold conversations with people while using them. The stop and start control is very easy to use when something unexpected needs me to stop headphone sound. For continued comfort I move them from time to time so they are in a different place on my temples. But I really don't see that as a problem. I've used them practically all day long at times and usually don't have to charge them to complete a day. The charge time seems very quick.People I have talked to, using them on the phone, have commented I sound very clear and even the background engine noise of a fire truck doesn't seem to bother the person I'm talking to.I am able to "hear" music, audio books, podcasts and phone calls very well. The stock sound is good but they are acceptable to the audio controls (equalizer) of the sending device being used, which can tailor sounds to the wearer's liking. When background noise is really loud, to hear what the headphones are relaying, I use soft earplugs to block out noise. That kind of defeats the purpose of not being an in-ear headphone but I usually don't have to do that. It's just an option.I don't have to worry about them falling out of my ears. (Or falling off).I just wish they'd have come with a longer charging cord and maybe two charging cords. I do worry about loosing or not having the one (proprietary) cord that came with them.
On 13 March 2023, I bought a new set of Openrun headphones. The usefulness, quality, and comfort get lost due to one main discrepancy. Why do you have unique charging cables/cords? The charging cable for the Openrun headphones is a ONE-OFF FAILURE. Your cable only works with your headphones. WHY?For many years I've been a huge fan of your jawbone headphones. I've gone through a couple of Trex Titanium (TT) headphones. The TT headphones use an older-style cable connection. The typical technology industry is replacing that cable style with the USB-C. Why couldn't you follow? Your headphones already dominate the jawbone headphone market. At this time, I'm considering returning the headphones - mainly due to the ONE OFF charging cable. Why couldn't you use the USB-C or some universal connection? Why not make and supply a couple of adapters for your cable?Yes, the Openrun headphones come with one charging cable. Now we must always carry that cable. Customers should not be forced to buy an extra cable. That only works with your product.(I submitted feedback to your customer service/support. Reading the two responses tells me no one read my feedback.)
Works well. I purchased two since the magnetic connection is proprietary. I actually like it better than USB-C. The magnet makes a satisfying snap when you connect it.One small thing that could be done to improve this cable is a visual indicator for the direction of the magnet. At first it looks like you could place it either way, but the magnet repels one way and attracts the other way (180 degrees). Once you figure this out, it’s not a big deal.I’d also appreciate a longer option for the cable (maybe twice the length).
