I recently purchased this helmet and couldn't be happier. It has a much more comfortable padding/lining than other helmets I have worn and very little to nil wind noise while still allowing me to hear what's happening around me.I find the wind protection for the chin to be great at preventing wind and debris from blowing up underneath and all the vents allow for a good air flow to keep me cool when needed.This helmet also has a very nice field of vision and I find the internal sunglasses to be very handy.Another reason this helmet was also favtastic is that I live in Australia and to purchase it here even after the conversion and shipping it still worked out to be around $100 cheaper.I have recommended this helmet to my friends as it's quite stylish and good ... MoreI recently purchased this helmet and couldn't be happier. Good looking and comfy with very wide view also up and down sides... veluree finish and as mine mat is a spot on but maybe too vulnerable for scratches as the mat layer is very soft even though I would not get the glossy one. Different side blocks for different combination gives a many up and down blockages for the screen this is also very helpful for different purposes. Even small tooth at the bottom of the screen makes it is slightly opened for air circulation not being even noticeable. 5 different ventilations is something for long journeys or what it rain hard in a city traffic never had anti fog installed in it. I was surprised when I opened the box as I ordered an XL and it was incredibly light didn't believe it was my helmet being delivered at first. The pinlock visor it came with was quick and simple to fit after checking the instructions on how to do it. The helmet does not mist up now it feels great and has all the features you need at such a great price it's hard to turn this item down. I wanted a good SHARP rating (4 stars). This helmet's Gold ACU badge is a bonus. I bought the Large size to fit my 59 cm head and it's a great fit. Next it is lightweight (1350 gms) by comparison with my flip-up helmet. I like the visor opening detents. These enable the visor to latch at intermediate positions. Alternative detent mechanisms are also included in the box. The liner is very easy to remove allowing washing or replacement. Internal airflow very controllable via series of adjustable vent. Visor removal is simple and no tools are required (you need to detach to the visor to fit the Pinlock visor that comes as standard). Lastly it also looks great. Niggles? 1. I really enjoy wearing this helmet once I got it broken in.I wasn't too sure what size I should get, so when I measured my head it was right down the middle, so I chose to go smaller as the big might not stay in place. And it fits perfect! At the beginning it was tight near the cheeks like all helmets but after wearing it for a week or so it feels perfect!The drop down sun visor is a nice idea, but I found it to not be dark enough for me. So im wearing sunglasses until my darker sun visor comes.It also comes with a pinlock system and ive not used it yet, but it seems like a great thing to have in your backpack incase it starts to fog over.I got the red and wow! I was originally going to get the k6 but they were on back order so I went with this. Honestly I’m not disappointed. It’s fairly light and has great airflow! I also think that it looks really badass. If you’re looking for an awesome, comfortable, and safe helmet without breaking the bank then I would highly recommend the K5 S
I upgraded from a K4 Evo and the sizing was the same but the K5 is much lighter feeling. Doesn't seem to catch the wind much and airflow through the helmet is fantastic, almost too much for a really cold morning. The included pinlock is a welcome addition and works very well.The drop-down sunshade could be darker but it's not bad. I ordered the "dark smoke" one separately in case but it's the same darkness as the one included.

My choices came down to this and the Shoei Qwest --- felt the K5 was a bit more helmet for the money, plus it is a lot less common (seems I see tons of riders with the Qwest). So far, am very pleased. The fit is great, very consistent with my old S-4. Airflow is excellent, and it is quieter than my old helmet, which wasn’t bad (I wear ear plugs, but even so the difference is noticeable). As other reviews have indicated, the top air vents are cool looking but seemingly impossible to operate with a gloved hand. Does not matter to me as I tend to open and close vents only when there is a big change in seasons. Great helmet, quiet and lightweight? the clear visor scratches easily so I ordered a replacement that darkens with Uv light exposure. Has great air flow and the pin lock fog visor insert is amazing, I love that it doesn't fog at all when I come to a stoplight in cold weather with the visor closed.
