I Recently decided to transition from a half to a full helmet and believe me this wasn't an easy decision, nor easy to find "THE" helmet that works. I tried eight different helmets from Icon, HJC, Simpson, LS2, and Scorpion with none of them feeling right. That is until I found this little beauty. Wore this in the house for multiple hours before taking it out and I'm telling you, this is the BEST full face helmet I've ever put on the dome! Zero pressure points anywhere , I don't feel like my heads in a vice, can wear my sunglass with out them being distorted, buffeting is almost zero (@ 65 - 70mph), ventilation on the top of the dome is great, and the weight is feather light. The only drawbacks are the noise is much greater than I expected, but bearable, and the ... MoreI Recently decided to transition from a half to a full helmet and believe me this wasn't an easy decision, nor easy to find "THE" helmet that works. It fogs up in a matter of seconds, but AGV includes the clear pin lock shield with the purchase, so that took care of that and I imagine once the Bluetooth system goes into the lid, we'll see how that affects the noise. Even though there are a couple of minor issues with this lid, I'm still giving it 5 stars, simply because of the feel and weight. Truly an AGV fan!

I've had my helmet for roughly 3k miles so far. It's been fantastic. It's beyond comfortable. It's incredibly quiet and is the lightest helmet I've tried on to date while also being one of the more protective - unless you're spending more $In my opinion this is the supreme compromise between getting something that is actual quality gear and then overspending for hype on something. You can buy cheaper but they aren't anywhere as protective. You can buy more expensive but for the most part (except 6D probably) this helmet will be as protective for less money.

Pros: Attractive Helmet, Extremely Lightweight, Quietest Helmet I've owned. Fits comfortably overall and comes with a pinlock visor which was a nice touch.Cons: Expensive, and made from cheap thin plastics. The visor mechanism broke within 15 miles of riding, and a replacement isn't available from AGV (but ones for the K3 and the Pista are...?). One of the top vents arrived broken, which is no surprise given how thin the plastic is. Airflow is average at best, even with the vents open, hot day riding requires the visor to be cracked. the K3 flows better.Based on the above, I returned this helmet. If it was made of better quality materials I'd replace it with the same but instead I'll be going with a different brand, which is unfortunate considering how much I ... MorePros: Attractive Helmet, Extremely Lightweight, Quietest Helmet I've owned. I like the fit of this AGV K-6 helmet. I used to wear Arai and always felt there was a compromise in how it fit since my head is a little more narrow than the typical intermediate oval. The helmet feels light. The liner comes out easily for install of coms hardware. I have a Sena50 and it installed very easily. Much more so than the same kit I installed in my wife's Shoei RF-1200.The shield is clunky to unlatch when you have it all the way closed. I have to jamb my thumb into the button and push up with my middle finger. It is not a smooth or seamless action. This mechanism could be improved. The chin vent rattles when it is open. I thought there was something loose on my windscreen at first but then realized the buzzing sound was coming from inside the helmet. ... MoreI like the fit of this AGV K-6 helmet. I thought there was something loose on my windscreen at first but then realized the buzzing sound was coming from inside the helmet. Forehead vents are small but seem to do an ok job of flowing air. I did not feel too hot in this helmet riding in Ohio summer heat. I have about 500 miles in this helmet and it has broken in nicely. It is not the quietest helmet I have worn. Even with all vents closed and the the shield latched, there is significant wind noise. Listening to music or talking on the phone is difficult above 50 mph on my bike with no windscreen. The mechanism for detaching the shield is well designed and easy to operate. Makes cleaning and pin lock lens install a breeze. For the cost I think this is a great helmet.
Overall I like the helmet. I went with the size that I measured and was suggested on the chart. When I got it I was worried it was a bit to small but I wore it for a good half hour without having any pain from it so I kept it hoping it would break in a bit and not be so bad. So far it's slowly breaking in and is less tight on my cheeks. Tons of padding though and feels like it could take some serious damage if needed. Wish the logo on the front wasn't so big and obnoxious or could be removed. I also got the Cardo pack talk to put in it and overall installation of it was easy and has worked well with it! When riding you can hear the wind a bit but it's not bad at all. Might be better if you wore the part under your chin to block it more but I personally never stuck ... MoreOverall I like the helmet. Will be upgrading the visor as I don't like the clear one. Other than the logo being ugly I really can't complain about the helmet it's self.
Nardo Grey - Medium Small (57-58)Purchased this helmet couple weeks ago at the Dainese store. Noticed there weren't many reviews on the helmet so I figured I'd write it here.My first impression on the helmet is that it is incredibly light. I weighed the helmet myself and it came out to roughly about 2.9 lbs without any sena or gopro attached. The bell qualifier that I had before weighed roughly about 3.7lbs! Riding with this helmet feels like it's not even there. Also, the design of the helmet prevents your collar bone from getting in contact with the base of the helmet and this actually allows me to move my head a lot more. You can tilt your head left and right with no contact. Now, I don't know how this would do in a crash setting due to its lightness but ... MoreNardo Grey - Medium Small (57-58)Purchased this helmet couple weeks ago at the Dainese store. You can tilt your head left and right with no contact. Now, I don't know how this would do in a crash setting due to its lightness but AGV is known to do MORE than the minimum standard for DOT so I think it'll do fine. Now lets talk about that latch. Before I dive any further, just know that there is a small screw you can unscrew and adjust the positioning of the latch if you can't seem to get it to sit properly or even close. Now, the latch is something that was new to me. I've never had a helmet that required to press something but with practice and use it becomes easier. However, it can be a little annoying if you are like me and need to open the visor a lot (I wear glasses so it fogs up a little inside). The latch is nice since it's actually a safety feature meant to keep the visor in place so knowing that it makes it better that it's there. The visor locks into place when it is fully pressed and when you press it once it opens into "city riding" this is what my helmet visor is usually in.For airflow, the vents looks a little small but I haven't noticed if this has really affected me since I've only had it during the colder season. HOWEVER, once you open that visor all the way up, it's like a blast of air hitting your face. Let me remind you I wear glasses and my eyes were getting so watery(speeds faster than 45). So don't plan on leaving your visor open if you are going faster than city limits! Other than that, it's not really a complaint because for others it might be a good thing with all the air flow.Communication device??I use the sena 20s and it fits! I use the clamp method but one thing to note is that you need to use more of the rubber adhesive spacer for it to properly clamp. There are speaker cut outs that fit the normal speakers too.Now the field of vision is incredible! Nothing else to describe it.Noise... I have to say it's quieter than my bell but I have always worn earplugs. Now if you don't wear ear plugs, you should go get some!!!Now the final thing to address... is it comfortable?I had the K3 S-V medium small and I have to tell you that was the most uncomfortable helmet to put on and off. It actually messed up my ear (boxers ear) since it was tugging and pulling it a bunch. Now with the K6, the shape of the helmet is a true intermediate-oval. After it's broken in, putting it on and off is a breeze. How about while wearing it? The best way I can describe it is that it feels like its part of my head.Being that the K6 was a new helmet, I was hesitant on purchasing it but I have to say I have no regrets! This is perfect for someone who is like me and needed an upgrade from their old cheap helmet.Hope this help y'all!
Please keep in mind that having only worn bicycling helmets before this, this is the only motorcycle helmet I've ever owned.I got into motorcycling as I've backed off of bicycling due to pretty bad neck arthritis. The K6 appealed to me because of its light weight and ECE rating. It really is light- holding it along with an RF-1200 or a Regent-X (the two other helmets I was interested in) you can really tell the difference.Fit has been spot-on for me around my skull with no hot spots after an hour or more, though I do note that the chin portion of the helmet does sit closer to my face than in other helmets. The chinstrap does feels close to my Adam's apple, but this is the only annoyance that I've found.Ventilation does not seem to be lacking, though ... MorePlease keep in mind that having only worn bicycling helmets before this, this is the only motorcycle helmet I've ever owned.I got into motorcycling as I've backed off of bicycling due to pretty bad neck arthritis. The chinstrap does feels close to my Adam's apple, but this is the only annoyance that I've found.Ventilation does not seem to be lacking, though opening/closing the vents can be a bit fiddly with gloves on. It definitely takes some practice getting adept at actuating them, especially the forehead vents.Vision out the helmet is great- I have no complaints about my field of vision wearing this. Removing the visor for cleaning is super-easy, and the position detents work well for me. I definitely like the slightly-cracked-open position you get when you push the visor release button.I wear earplugs and ride a 300cc bike, so I can't really comment on how quiet it is.Have to say that the helmet looks super-cool in the Nardo gray color with the pop of the tricolore logo. One thing- if you purchase the K6, don't make the mistake I did of using the chin strap when snapped (not using the D-rings) as a carrying strap. I did this the other day, and the snap gave out, dropping the helmet on (thankfully) a carpeted surface.
Got the Grey one as White was not available in small. The most obvious advantage is the light weight. It's awesome with regards to weight. Great for the neck and as someone described making quick side checks is easier. Finish is good too. However, coming from a Shoei GT Air (small) I feel the fit and comfort was much better with the Shoei. I guess the shapes are a bit different inside. Ventilation was so-so and when I remove the helmet the cheek pad tends to snap out. So far I just had one ride in traffic. I feel there may be some hotspots on the forehead and my oakleys were a bit of a squeeze. I am hoping the liner will contour to my head shape after a few rides. The visibility is good as it has a wide opening. I don't think the medium-small would be a secure fit ... MoreGot the Grey one as White was not available in small. I trusted the numbers on my tailor’s tape and ordered the small size instead of caving in to my stubborn vanity (I’m an adult with an adult head after all) and I’m glad I did. The initial fit was uncomfortable with too much pressure on my face but I’ve worn it for about 10 hours total now in 2 or 3 hour spans without any discomfort. The helmet looks sharp, is extremely light, and very compact. As a slight guy I get self-conscious in a bulky helmet but the K6 eliminated that and I’ll gladly take any confidence boost I can get.Venting seems pretty good. A slight turn of the head left or right will give you a pleasant little rush of cool air and I haven’t had any fogging issues. You have to press a button to open the visor. I've been lusting after this helmet ever since it came out, It comes in some beautiful graphics. Note: the "secret" graphic is more of an off white/cream. Nardo grey is the only color that matters though. I'd definitely add a smoked or blue iridium shield too.Coming from a shoei RF-1200 I think the materials used and build quality are just a tiny step below shoei. Like some odd inconsistent gaps around the air vents, and the neck roll pad has begun pilling a small amount, but pads are replaceable. Ultimately whatever flaws this helmet has I am willing to live with for how light it is and how beautiful the color looks. The latch seams to be a polarizing feature for some people. I'm getting used to it, and don't mind it at all. It's nice to help increase airflow by cracking the shield but still being latched. Speaking of airflow this helmet doesn't flow that much, hence cracking the shield is almost necessary for city travel in warm weather. At higher speeds the vents are adequate.I wear glasses and have no problem wearing them with this helmet. It's a snug fit getting them on but it works. I'd imagine thicker frames would be difficult. The fit is great and was VERY snug the first couple rides, but better than the looser size up option. It has broken in since and is now perfect. The size chart is true, I was on the larger end of small measuring 22.25 inches, but the small works, medium small was a bit too loose out of the box. The chinbar is a lot closer than other helmets I've worn. It might be tricky mounting some com. system mics. All in all I would buy again and highly recommend. AGV is really leading the pack as far as lightweight helmets.
