Works well and blocks out the light. Good quality and doesn't really fog up. My only issue with it is that I was hoping that it would be darker to the point where it wouldn't show my face through it. When you're in the shade, it looks blacked out, but when in the direct sunlight your face shows through it. But that's just a preference of mine. If you're looking to have your face not shown at all, I recommend buying one or the mirrored/iridium visors. That being said, it's still a great product and I'll be using it along with my clear and iridium silver visors depending on the weather conditions.

I originally wanted a dark smoke face shield, but it was out of stock. So I ordered the Silver Iridium. Iridium coatings are always prone to scratching, so I always clean it first by placing a wet paper towel on the face shield to help soften the bugs. Rinse with running water, then finish up with Plexus plastic cleaner and a microfiber cloth. If you do purchase the dark smoke shield, which I recently did, don't panic. The AGV's packaging calls the dark smoke face shield '80% tint'. And yes, the visor is expensive, but is thicker than most with great clarity.

Purchased k6 secret and wanted a tinted shield as it’s pretty sunny year round where I live. I got the gold iridium. While it is great for sunny days it seems pretty dark in shadows and low light- like dark smoke. I was hoping it would have been more yellow / light tint like my old hjc rainbow visor. I’m curious about the blue but for the price I’ll just stick with clear and gold for now. High quality and fit/seal (unlike my old HJC visor always leaked). The vision is clear otherwise. As will all iridiums smudges easily.

I waffled back and forth between this and the standard mirror. I made the right choice. This provides great protection on sunny days but is not overly dark. I don't do much night riding so this is perfect for me. I use the clear shield if needed as switching out is easy. A little pricey but this is a good quality shield that goes well with my new AGV K6 grey helmet which I am also very impressed with after a handful of rides.
I bought this for my wife as she has the K6 helmet. In general, the K6 visor design is pretty nice. The mechanism is built into the visor itself which does make the visor more expensive, but it is easier to take on and off. This built in mechanism also feels very quality, and less likely to break something on the visor. Perhaps it also makes the helmet slightly lighter. The clip on the bottom to shut the visor works well too.The dark smoke looks very good and there are no troubles, I am also a big fan of the pin lock.I have a shoei rf1400 with a dark smoke visor and both are nice, I’d say the k6 visor is a bit easier to remove and re attach. Both are great!
I bought a gold one, then a blue one, for my Nardo Grey K6. both look awesome. I've been to the store and honestly you can't go wrong with any color, they all look good on all the helmets, just up to personal preference.Pinlock ready, that's always a huge plus that everyone should just make standard. This one uses the AGV Pinlock 120 Max Vision, be sure to get the right size. Plan on replacing the Pinlock about once every 6-12 months. If you find that this if hard to close or open, you can actually adjust the placement of the hook point on the face shield with a small Philips head. I struggled for 2 months before I realized this and it become smooth like butter after :p
Very quiet. light weight and comfortable. The face shield is very scratch resistant and the lock is easy to use. The detents for the face shield keep the shield open exactly where you place it and the seal is an industry leader. The vents are easy to operate and flow just enough air to be comfortable. Swapping out the face shield is a simple task.
Solid visor, if you like your bog standard clear one you'll like this one. I bought the silver iridium one and I can say it pairs quite well with the white helmet. In terms of how well it works, I'd say it blocks about as much light as a solid pair of sunglasses. It's not crazy, still usable when it's overcast, but not at night. Not unless you're crazy. It does have one major fatal flaw, to me... The iridium coating is unbelievably delicate. I've only had mine for a little bit and already I have some very large scratches. As good as it looks I won't be going iridium next time. I thought people were exaggerating but I'm relatively precious with my gear and even I managed it somehow. So get the smoke one and call it a day. It's even cheaper.By the way, that's why ... MoreSolid visor, if you like your bog standard clear one you'll like this one. Love the color, love the style, love the look, fantastic for hot summer sunny days.. but these things claim to be scratch resistant. They just simply aren't. The clear ones are the only ones that feel truly scratch resistant and it's because it has a plastic feel to it's exterior and interior. The colored ones (blue iridium and gold iridum are what I have owned) have more of a sleek/coating feel to them to make them tinted and that scratched within a month of riding with this thing. I probably wore it 10 times and have two fat scratches across it's face, for $130 that's absolutely absurd. I'd rate bang for buck a 0 if I could.
I went through 3 visors on my HJC RAPHA 70 helmet. The tint continued to rub off even when cleaning it with soft cloth and just water. This one I can wipe with industrial wet wipes and nothing. Sometimes you truly get what you pay for. HJC helmets fit me very well but their tinted visors were shot. AGV from not on
