Air Jordan 13 Retro Starfish 15

The Air Jordan 13 Retro Starfish is a popular sneaker that was released as part of the Jordan Brand's lineup. Inspired by the original Air Jordan 13 silhouette, this retro edition features a unique colorway called "Starfish." The upper of the shoe is primarily constructed with a black leather material. It showcases the signature mesh detailing on the side panels and tongue, providing breathability and flexibility. The iconic holographic "cat eye" jewel is also present on the lateral side of the shoe, adding a touch of authenticity. What sets the Air Jordan 13 Retro Starfish apart is the vibrant Starfish orange accents. These orange pops can be seen on the midsole, outsole, and the eye-catching Jumpman logo on the tongue. The bold contrast between the black and orange creates a striking and visually appealing design. The sneaker features a comfortable fit with its foam midsole and a Zoom Air unit in the heel, providing responsive cushioning and impact absorption. Additionally, the shoe has a carbon fiber shank plate for added stability and support. Fans of the Air Jordan line appreciate the Air Jordan 13 Retro Starfish for its unique color scheme, timeless design, and its connection to Michael Jordan's iconic playing career. Whether you're a basketball fan or a sneaker enthusiast, the Air Jordan 13 Retro Starfish offers both style and performance.

I purchased the Jordan 13 Del sol Jordan’s. The color was very bright and eye catching to me so I was excited about my purchase until I started inspecting my shoes as I always do. The bottom of the shoe looks like the color is bleeding off of the sole of the shoe. The top part of the shoe by the eyelet looks unfinished and had thread hanging out. All in all the shoe looks like a great version of a knock-off. I am a certified sneaker head and to say that I am majorly dissatisfied and disappointed is an understatement. Being that the shoes are expensive I was not expecting my shoes to look like I bought them from a flea market.

Was able to score the next day after release and it showed up 3 days later. Seems like maybe this retro wasn’t as popular but the new color way is beautiful! I’m glad they were still available and hopefully going forward I can get more releases as I have failed many many times trying to get ā€˜ā€˜em in the past with other releases. I’ve had many frustrating times with releases but that’s fine because I’ll just go to a retailer and give them the business if sneakers can’t provide me. This time it all worked out though!

Great design concept, poor execution.

I was really looking forward to this release as I generally like the XIII's and this color/material combination looks so good in person, but the build quality of the shoe does not match its price. I feel this way because when I first tried on the shoes, the right shoe felt tighter around the toe box than the left. So, naturally, I played around with the laces and tongue. The idea being that maybe they were laced unevenly and re-lacing would fix the issue. It didn't. So I then decided to inspect (and admire) the shoe itself and that's how I noticed that some of the panels weren't aligned symmetrically across both shoes. If you look at the images I've uploaded and compare the distances between the 3M panels and the midsole on both shoes you will see how on one shoe it is tighter (or closer) to the midsole than the other in a few places. One other flaw I'll point out on my pair, is the stitching of the 3M panel by the hologram. On one shoe the line is nice and round all the way through while on the other it comes to a sharp point where it meets the inner lining. For this reason and others I already mentioned, I cannot recommend this shoe at this price.

Jordan 13 court purple- color blocking
31 January 2022

I have yet to wear these but this is a clean shoe. This particular Jordan features purple color blocking and 3M on the outside of the shoe. I have heard that this shoe is not as bulky as the original 13s. However, this is my first pair and I am not super disappointed with the lack of bulk. I’m assuming that the toe box used to be wider, but as this is my first pair of 13s I am not upset. My husband has quite a few pair that these remind me of. We’ve seen the flint color blocking, blue color blocking, and green color blocking in recent releases. These are not as sought after as the ā€œcherriesā€ or anything like that but I really enjoy the shoe!

Not as good as they use to be
26 January 2018

I started reading other peoples reviews on the 13's. I always just assumed if you got J's (as long as they weren't replicas), they would be top notch quality. Mine weren't even as bad as I've seen others show. I just recently received the black/olive 13's. Overall they are decent, but you can see a few places where they don't line up or match up. You can also see that one one portion of the shoe, the material will be smooth. And another portion of the show, it will be rough. And then the portions don't match. So the tongue on one shoe is smooth, but not on the other. The toe on one shoe is smooth, but not on the other. Also on the bottom, it looks like glue marks or impression of where the black part was glued on. I need to check my other 13's but I don't remember ...Ā MoreI started reading other peoples reviews on the 13's. I just assumed Jordans ordered off the Nike website would be top quality. Back in the day, these little defects would be one of the easy ways to tell if the shoe was a replica. If I had this shoe in front of me and someone was trying to sell it to me, there would be no way that I would think the shoe is authentic and that person ordered them directly from Nike.

Poor Quality - Shoes Not Even Symmetrical
24 August 2017

I bought this pair directly from Nike.com the day it was released. However, upon receiving the shoes, I found that the pair is not even symmetrical...I mean, NOT EVEN CLOSE...(see attached pictures for details. As you can see, from the posterior angle, the shoes are grossly asymmetrical). Knowing that qualities of the Jordan's are no longer the same as in the old day, I had moderate expectations, but still expect decent quality from the supposedly premium line of Nike shoes. I can tolerate glue marks, some loose thread ends here and there (both of which this pair does have), etc., but to purchase a pair of $190 (pre-tax) shoes directly from Nike.com and receive a pair with such gross defects is simply unacceptable. Just to make it clear, I deliberately purchased ...Ā MoreI bought this pair directly from Nike.com the day it was released. Just to make it clear, I deliberately purchased from Nike.com, hoping to have the peace of mind that I will receive a pair that has passed the quality control. However, DISAPPOINTMENT is what I received from Nike. I mean, if Nike still cares about quality control, they would not have shipped such a defective pair of shoes to customers. This wastes the customer's time, creates more frustration for Nike customers, costs Nike money and reputation, and will only lead to more bad reviews. Nike's got to step up with their quality control for their supposedly premium Jordan Retro Shoes.

What reason do you need? šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø

I love Nike. Always will and always have. I love there products. I’ve never been let down besides the (SNKRS) app but that’s a book in itself. Il continue to shop with Nike because there products are meticulously crafted to the standards of the greatest athletes in the world. And this shoes isn’t any different. If you need a review to buy from Nike. You shouldn’t be shopping with them in the first place. Good day mate.

[Rewarded Review] A new color addition to your closet
2 December 2023

I bought these because I didn’t have anything in this color in my closet, so I took a gamble. That gamble paid off big in my opinion. They’re simple, yet elegant in their own way. They aren’t a common color, but I feel like the color is beautiful the way it sits on this pair of shoes. Do what I did, take a gamble on these shoes if you don’t own a similar color. It is definitely worth it
