I ordered the Alternate Motorsport and they came in and I was highly disappointing. The paint on the outside of the mid-sole looked like it had been poorly repainted, it looks horrible. The ankle support, wing, didn't line up with the shoe lace holes. On top of that there were glue stains in the front of the shoe/toe box area. Excessive rubber near air bag.

I bought these shoes because of how good they looked online, but do NOT be fooled. The suede is very cheap. The gold is also extremely cheap plastic. The leather on the back is decent I guess. I just do not understand how Jordan brand can sky rocket these prices, but comprise with quality. I wish people would realize this so that Jordan could go back to its old ways. Not to mention the fact that there is 20 pairs of Js releasing every day it feels like. Really just seems like they are just trying to maximize profits and forgetting what the whole brand was built on. But these little review wont change a thing....

Love my Royalty 4's. I found the quality of the shoe fantastic and they are as comfortable as ever. 4's are easily the most comfortable of the retro J's in my opinion. I've read several reviews that claim the quality is sub par, but I don't see that at all. I feel the Royalty 4 was on point with the quality of many marquis shoes. Well done, Nike.

The color gets scratched off like a paint. This was only worn twice and now already noticed the scratch underneath the lace area in both shoes. Must be the lace scratching off against the leather. Now Im afraid the more I wear it the more the color will come off and to top it all, even under normal use, any contact on the leather area will be scratched off and the base brown color underneath coming out (as seen in the photo) and the scratch will be permanent. Not the quality I'm expecting from Nike.
Great looking shoe for summer. But it is poorly made as I've received mine last 07/27/2017, I noticed that there was some white paint in the air bubble. and the leather is nice and soft but there was a lot tumbled/wrinkles on the toe box. Nike got to step up there quality control with their shoes. also, I wished the Jumpman logo and the wing webbings was real metal and not plastic. then they'll be worth $190.00
I'm not a typical Jordan wearer but lately I have been loving some of the releases. These 4's are extremely well done and the fit and finish feels great. True to size fit and plenty of cushioning around the ankle.This is mainly a street-wear shoe obviously but I feel like the durability should be solid over time. Make sure you take care of the materials though as these won't be as durable as some standard leather Nike. The sole feels well connected and the overall appearance of the shoe is staying great so far.Definitely a shoe that can be dressed up or down.
Recently got the Air Jordan 4 "Motorsport" retro. Love the colorway, the look and the comfort of the shoe. The quality of the shoe and materials used are disappointing to say the least. The box they came in was crushed on one entire side and ripped through the lid. The shoes smelled of glue and one toe box was creased as if previously worn. These are supposed to be premier sneakers, time to step up the quality and stop focusing on quantity of retro's comstantly put out.
These shoes were one of my first pair of Jordans. I'm pretty disappointed at Nike for not having their shoes pass a quality test. Out of the box, the shoe smelled pretty bad, but after I wore it for a while the stench went away. About a week after wearing it, the paint on the Jumpman in the back is falling off and on one of the waffles, the gold paint is chipping. I really hope that the next pair of Jordans that I get will be better.
The shoe looks great and the leather on the heel of the shoe is premium quality. My only concerns were minuscule spots of extra glue on the black suede, for at least my pair, and some of the stitching throughout the upper portion of the shoe has loose ends which also stuck out to me. Solid look and feel on foot. The gold lace holders gives the IV a premium and royal look.
The white and blue Motorsport Jordan's were flawless as expected but unfortunately the pure money's had both toe boxes wrinkled and or creased. I can't believe they had wrinkles on a dead stock sneaker. Not what I expect from such a high quality brand and I'd be pretty upset if I paid retail $190 for these only to find they look like they've been tried on and walked in. There should be no reason that one pair was flawless and the other wasn't. Weird...The picture was the only one I had of the pure money's I bought. If you look at the top or left shoe you'll see what I mean and this pic doesn't do it justice, it's worse than what is shown and it's on both of them, the bottom toe box creases aren't as visible in this picture but are definitely there.Don't get me ...
