Hitting shelves in 1990, Air Jordan 5 combines the mesh side panels and a translucent sole. Taking inspiration from World War II fighter planes and Jordan’s biting style, Tinker Hatfield added “shark-teeth” into the sneaker's design along the midsole. The Nike Air Jordan 5 Retro model gets a chilly "Island Green" makeover. The leopard print upper comes in white, while the mesh, tongue and eyestay are in Island Green. Black laces and detailing tie the upper together, underneath is a black midsole with shark teeth detailing and a semi-translucent coat in Island Green.
