Designer Tinker Hatfield once said that Michael Jordan's playing style reminded him of a fighter plane, as he would emerge from the side-lines and attack. This observation inspired the design of the fifth Air Jordan, taking design elements from the Supermarine Spitfire MkVIII, a World War II fighter plane. This premium edition features a red leather upper with 3M branding to the tongue, plus a visible air unit in the midsole and a set of flat red laces - 136027-602, Leather Upper/Synthetic Sole.

It maybe used but it is perfect and better than what I expected. Its like a car that only has 30K on it. Clean and attract eyes due to classic old school look. Love it.

I'm very impressed! I love the authenticity check too!
I have been wearing this pair for couple days now. Comfortable and great tread life. No tears. Couple scuffs. But great shoes
The Air Jordan 5 Retro Take Flight is in my opinion a great shoe. The camo hints on the tongue and the back of the shoe really make it uniquely apart from other Jordan 5s. The red teeth at the bottom does a great job of separating the darker colors of the shoe. The shoe is very comfortable and fits true to size.#sweepstakes
Overall great shoe, tongue was a little torn on left shoe.
Smooth transition but the shoes smelled like cigarette smoke.
I had a pair of these when they first came out back in the day. They look awesome. My only complaint is they run small. I usually wear a 12/13 and my toes are almost at the end of the shoe. I recently also got a pair of #3's. I got them in a 14 and they fit great. I would probably buy a size bigger than normal, but just my opinion.
Kicking myself for not picking a pair up at the Nike Company Store while I was in town. I couldn't fit them in my luggage as I bought a more practical running (Pegasus 34) pair for working the floor as a Nurse. I did however get my son a pair of the 9c size for when he gets older and grows into them. My favorite pair of Jordan's. Thanks to Nike for allowing employees to let their friends experience the store while they are in town.
