The Nike Air Zoom Superrep 2 is a very unique shoe, unlike most sneakers I've worn. Right out of the box, you can tell the soles are very wide and elevated. They looked like they would feel elevated when putting them on and that proved to be true. The elevated cushioning and soles feel like an additional attachment to the shoe rather than just the sole; it felt like walking on stilts. The sneakers are designed for HIIT workouts. They perform really well for this purpose. When doing burpees, the elevation at the front of the shoe also seems to give an extra spring when jumping forward. Landing on these shoes after jumps felt VERY cushioned. It felt too elevated for general day-to-day walking and I did not try any running, since it felt the balance would be a bit off. These shoes are probably best for the person who has frequent home and/or HIIT workouts.

Bought these shoes for my garage workouts which are a mix of lifting, HIIT and floor core. These shoes have a perfectly snug fit that stays throughout all types of exercise. I was blown away by the heel to toe roll they have which is perfect for lunges, as well as the stability in the ball and heel of the foot for squats, jump roping back and forth, etc and I am on the larger size at 6'3" 215 wearing size 13. The cushioning in the ball of the foot is very responsive to jump squats and even feels great running/sprinting on the treadmill. The fly plate technology makes for a very stable and comfortable run. This shoe was almost everything I had hoped it would be for box jumps, jumping rope, and other impact exercises. It is truly a different experience than any other shoe I’ve ever purchased. Taking a bit of time to get used to, it changes the way you stand, and land. It is an amazingly stable shoe with true ball of the foot impact protection and support, in a way I’ve never felt before. My only suggestion/issue is that it a bit too snug for my foot as a size 12, the internal tongue straps/support enhance the stability but make it difficult to put on. I’m hoping it continues to stretch out as it breaks in; I’ve only been working out in them for 4 days now, and it seems to be getting more comfortable. This is definitely not a running shoe, but for high intensity ... MoreThis shoe was almost everything I had hoped it would be for box jumps, jumping rope, and other impact exercises. Nice work, Nike!I would love to see a next-gen version that addresses the sizing issue that myself and others have mentioned, perhaps a better or non-lacing version, and some more interesting color ways!

This is the first kind of shoe I have ever used that is especially made for specific types of workouts. For the gym, I normally stick with just a running type of shoe for all my workouts. The first thing I noticed while putting on the shoes is how perfect the fit was. Most active shoes have a lot of space inside the shoe making you make several adjustments with the laces and pulling hard for a tight fit. After slipping in my feet, I already had a snug fit and felt comfortable and good to go.It took a few minutes to get used to the shoe while I was walking around. The shoe’s outer sole is spilt into two separate sections, and you can definitely notice while walking. I hardly notice now after using the shoe for a few days. With the sole being spilt into two sections, it gives me more flexibility and grip at the front of my feet and more stability in the heel. The fabric on the shoe itself is very breathable, soft and durable. I did not experience my feet getting too hot while wearing them. I primarily using these shoes for working out, but since the shoe’s fabric is soft and has a good amount of cushion I believe these shoes would feel comfortable all day long. The feature I like the most of the shoe is the flexibility. I have noticed that I have more movement while on my toes and great grip. The heel of the shoe is quite wide, giving it a bit of an odd shape. While it isn’t my favorite part to look at, it provides great stability when landing from jumps. On part of the design the side of the fabric comes up over the top of the shoe towards the toe and over the top of the tongue. This makes it slightly difficult to adjust the tongue to be more centered and causing the shoe laces to bunch up a little bit. It may take a few seconds long to adjust when this happens, but it still allows me to have a great fit. Overall, I am very satisfied with this shoe’s great flexibility and fit. I am starting to look forward to hitting the gym again.
First things first - these shoes are marketed as being targeted toward HIIT/training, and they aren't kidding. I have Nike running shoes that double as comfortable every-day shoes, and I love the versatility. The Superrep 2's are not really intended to be that goto pair of shoes that you throw on to go to the supermarket. I wore them around the house for a couple of days to break them in and they weren't wildly comfortable. Also, the shape of the shoe can feel a little awkward - they encourage you to be on the balls of your feet which is strange when you're cooking dinner. In that sense, I compare these more to a cycling shoe or a good pair of cleats - you wouldn't necessarily want to wear them all day because they aren't designed to be worn all day. With that out ... MoreFirst things first - these shoes are marketed as being targeted toward HIIT/training, and they aren't kidding. I used them primarily for sprinting and they really excel. Excellent stability and grip, the design encourages you to run on your toes, and the cushioning is top notch. Doing stairs feels natural and the shock absorption is great. I didn't use them for any heavy lifting sessions and I'm not convinced that would be a great fit given the way they push you to rock into your toes - I could see something like squats feeling a bit awkward.Overall, I rate them highly for what they're meant for - they're specialized and perform well for that intended purpose. Just dont expect them to be shoes that you want to wear everywhere you go. They run pretty true to size, maybe a touch small.
I do HIIT training and really enjoyed these shoes. The fit was just right with my other Nike shoes. The design is very functional and innovative. I was first questioning the functionality and sizing with its design but after using them in the gym, I am a huge fan. I have previously twisted my ankle, so I always have to be mindful of how I land on my feet or change directions while working out. This shoe has given me a lot of support for my bad ankle and I haven't had any issues as I did with using my other shoes for high-impact sports. I also enjoyed playing basketball and tennis with these shoes as they allow for sudden stops without skidding and offer great cushioning for jumping. They are honestly great shoes all around and are cost-efficient as they can be used for a wide array of activities. The black one is very sleek and can be paired with anything. Another huge perk is the thicker soles that I am sure will not wear down especially with all the skidding that happens in tennis. Because of these reasons, I believe these shoes to be of really good quality and durable.
These shoes are very uncomfortable. I ordered a size big because nikes always run small and they are still super tight on my foot. The laces dont give you any adjustments as the whole upper is like a sock and loosening the laces doesnt loosen the shoe on your foot. If you have a small, narrow foot, Im sure these would be very comfortable because the soles are super soft. Also, the heel of the shoe angles into your Achilles tendon and rubs it raw within minutes. I normally wear 11.5 and got a 12, maybe a 12.5 or 13 would fit better but then would be too long so idk. I think Nike missed the mark bad with these shoes. They have great potential they just dont fit your feet like a normal shoe and the tightness makes them almost unbearable.
This shoe has a unique design. Cosmetically I didn’t find it very appealing, however performance wise I think this shoe was built great. The tongue of the shoe is built in with a tight mesh probably 3-4 inches wide which holds the shoe very snug to your foot. The laces are short so you aren’t tripping over them once you’ve tied them. The tight fit make these great for your workouts, but too tight for an all day wear. I wore these for 3 days and each day after about 4 hours my feet would start to get tingly and I would need to take the shoes off to give them a break. They are a little on the heavier side so I wouldn’t call them running shoes. Definitely short workouts, or workouts with a lot of cuts and turns. Overall I gave these shoes 4 stars because they are great ... MoreThis shoe has a unique design. The Nike Air Zoom Superrep 2 offer great support to your fit for HIIT workouts. My first impression was that I loved the style of the shoe and the thick sole that looked very cushioned and supportive. When I tried them on, they were a bit snug to get on but fit my foot once on. I typically wear a wide width in Nikes but did not need a wide in this shoe. After trying them out with a HIIT cardio workout, I found that I really liked the high toe raise for stretching, as well as planks. They allowed me to lock into place and provide comfort as well as good traction as I lunged, planked, and moved. If I could change anything about this shoe, it would be the back of it above my heel. I will continue using these shoes for my HIIT workouts, but given the heel height, I don't think I'd be able to wear these all day long.
I bought these after starting a HIIT regime and suffering with a mystery ankle injury two weeks into my new routine. I thought it could be something to do with my gym trainers being great for 45 mins on the elliptical but not particularly supportive for high impact, multi-directional training.I’ve only done three workouts in them so far but they feel good to me. The soles are really springy and the upper feels well constructed and supportive during side-to-side manoeuvres.I’m around a size 7 and although the length is good, the width is snug. I think they might stretch a bit. If you do have a wide foot, I would go a half size up from your usual trainer size or make sure you’ve got some thin socks to wear if you stick with your regular size, like I did. They do ... MoreI bought these after starting a HIIT regime and suffering with a mystery ankle injury two weeks into my new routine. So, I’m hoping it’s just my anatomy that’s the problem here and a bit more time breaking them in will help ease this.It was a choice between the Reebok HIIT trainers and these and I’m glad I went with these, I think. Especially because I absolutely love a super chunky looking shoe!
