I’ve had Achilles tendinitis for 5 months with variable improvement with exercises. It flares up each time I try to play badminton after resting it for 2 months. I decided to try this ankle brace even though I wasn’t sure how it would help. I take 6 and a half shoe size so bought a medium. My heel is narrow and I have very slim ankles so it felt loose and the plastic sides rubbed. However, wearing a thick walking sock solved that. I have worn it every day and have noticed an improvement in swelling and discomfort even though I have walked more. I have yet to try badminton as I am waiting another month for that. All in all, it seems to be helping and I only give 4 stars because I can only wear it with limited types of footwear. Ordering was easy and delivery, as ... MoreI’ve had Achilles tendinitis for 5 months with variable improvement with exercises. Definitely worth a try if you have this problem.

After a visit to a physio to diagnose a painful torn ligament they recommended the Aircast to help support and help prevent further injury, and so I could continue relatively normal activities whilst awaiting scans and treatment. So I looked online and found a great offer on the A60 from Health and Care. Super fast delivery ensured I could enjoy the benefit to my ankle in a couple of days and the results are amazing. I'm a wide shoe fitting but opted for the medium size for a snug support and at first was a bit concerned on the pressure to my swollen ankle... but the splint design relieved the pressure and corrected the angle of the ankle to reduce the pain, swelling and allow me to walk freely, wearing my usual footwear in comfort. I'd seen this product being worn ... MoreAfter a visit to a physio to diagnose a painful torn ligament they recommended the Aircast to help support and help prevent further injury, and so I could continue relatively normal activities whilst awaiting scans and treatment. I'd seen this product being worn by professional sports players like Andy Murray, to help prevent sprains or worse injury, but used in treatment to my injury its had a surprising effect on what I'm able to do whilst waiting for my next steps of treatment as an NHS patient. Great product design, great service and a happier customer as a result.

I have always struggled with a collapsing ankle and having taken quite a bad fall at badminton I was unable to exercise for a few months. I had been to physio and was recommended to purchase some ankle supports. Needless to say I am impressed with these. I am fearful that my ankle will give way when changing direction, but not with these on! I purchased both as I was diagnosed with hypermobility and both ankles are affected. I cannot describe the security I feel moving around the court. The supports wrap under your foot and up both sides of you leg, meaning I can move freely and confidently. They feel odd at first but you quickly get used to it. I thought I'd never get back on the court after my fall but I am so pleased these supports give me the opportunity to play ... MoreI have always struggled with a collapsing ankle and having taken quite a bad fall at badminton I was unable to exercise for a few months. I've worn these for years and decided to replace the old with the new. Good quality, fit into my trainers without feeling too tight or bulky, and they stop me from rolling my ankle. I can remember a few times when overextending coupled with bad footwork in the moment I thought ... if I didn't have this on ... i'd be in trouble. Last thing is I haven't had weak ankles for a long while (I rolled them twice or three times over an 18 month period about 6 years back). Getting back to playing, I wore these which these enabled me to play and made sure my ankle stayed safe plus kept them healing. I like them!
This is an outstanding product - it was recommended to me by a specialist in foot/ankle issues, he told me he uses one himself to play five a side football! I have a chronic ankle problem (35 years!) which has started to interfere with my hiking and running activities. Since buying the brace, I have been able to walk long distances (12km plus across uneven ground) and run (6km) pain free and without residual pain after exercise. That has made me very happy as previously these activities would have been accompanied by low level pain which slowly escalated. I am, of course, working with a sports physio to remediate the problem as far as I can but all I wanted to do was to be able to move - and now I can hike or run every day if I want to. I can say this has been life changing and the brace is so light you actually forget you're wearing it. It fits into all my shoes without a problem. I had tried a number of off the shelf ankle supports but this is a whole different level of support. Worth every penny.
This is an excellent ankle brace for rehabilitation and/or prevention from ligament injuries. It provides excellent lateral stability (protection from inversion and eversion ankle sprains) whilst not interfering with foot dorsal flexion or extension. It is light weight and comfortable and can easily been worn with trainers or other footware. I had a bad peroneal brevis tendon tear and a very unstable ankle and found that this brace gave me excellent support and ankle stability whilst waiting for surgery. ( over 9 months wait) After the surgery I've brought another one of these braces which will give me the support and confidence during rehabilitation and physiotherapy. I will carry on using this brace as protection from further injury especially if doing sports.
Hospital gave me a black foot brace instead of wearing the horrible knee length boot which in the summer is so uncomfortable. It worked a treat and when I looked on your website I was so pleased to see that you have it in white this is the reason I ordered it as having tried it. All I can say is that it is so comfortable that I wear it constantly when I am walking or just doing jobs around the house and it has worked. My heel and foot, which are crumbling due to Rheumatoid Arthritis, are healing and I have hardly any pain, but this is not a quick fix for me have been advised that it will take at least 6- 9 months so I will carry on. It is comfortable and does not stretch my shoes and in white I can wear it through the summer. Would highly recommend for anyone with ... MoreHospital gave me a black foot brace instead of wearing the horrible knee length boot which in the summer is so uncomfortable. These are my go-to ankle braces and have literally given me my life back. I wear them for any sport activities and for walking, due to having EDS and completely unstable ankles after years of injuries. They are literally the best you can get if you still want to maintain normal ankle motion but block inversion and eversion of the ankles. The only criticism I have - which is recognised by Aircast but they have yet to fix it - is that the pale grey fabric on the insides does eventually wear through over a few years of regular (almost daily) use, which means that I have to replace them at that point - but by then the elasticity has also mostly gone in the sock as well. I honestly don't mind though, it's a small price to pay every few years for being able to walk, run, ... MoreThese are my go-to ankle braces and have literally given me my life back. I’ve climbed over 800 hills in the UK, including all the Monroes Corbits and grahams having been to the Himalayas a number of times Alaska and the Andes. My latest adventure will be attempting to climb the Eiger this summer. Training and getting fitter was going well at the start of April, until I badly sprained my ankle This put my training in severe jeopardy and the plans I had for this year. I looked at possibilities with regard to rehabilitation in the ankle support. Made all the sense in the world although wasn’t sure how well it would go. My orthopaedic surgeon recommended I purchase this ankle brace for support. I had reached the point in recovery from a multiple break in my ankle where I was fully weight bearing and needed to transition out of an aircast boot. I found the one the surgeon mentioned on the internet, purchased one and it arrived promptly via 48hr tracking. The ankle brace is very well made, fits perfectly and offers the level of support I need for the next few weeks. The brace arrived with clear instructions regarding it's use and maintenance.
