AirFit 30 - great mask

I have had nasal masks which didn’t work because of mouth breathing. Then I switched to a full face mask and had to endure baggy, sore and watery eyes because of air bleeding out the top and sides. Used the full face mask for years and had such poor sleeping behaviour because of air noise and irritated eyes. Then, recently read an article about side sleeping with CPAPs and how the AirFit 30 style was a best solution. Have had the best night sleeping in years since the switch. Very little noise (just me breathing) and pretty darn comfortable. Needed a week to feel confident, but now I am sure it is better than my previous masks.

While the machine works as it should, I guess, it’s obvious the sales team for ResMed short charge you on things like the hose that comes with the AS11 and by some strange coincidence they offer an upgrade two weeks after you’ve received your machine. You realize the hose that comes with the machine is inadequately designed. The new hose offered is the proper design with a 90° angle at the rear of the machine where the hose is attached properly adapting to the orientation of the user with the machine. The replacement hose is an additional $46 plus delivery which is omitted if you spend more than $100. Clever you might think. Why not just do it right the first time. Great Machine! I shouldn't have waited so long to upgrade

I've had the same machine for over 12 years. My original machine was a champ and worked great the whole time. I didn't realize how much quieter the new machines are as compared to the older ones. The AirSense 11 is super user-friendly and I love checking my score every day on my phone! I purchased the heated hose and humidifier block off since I haven't used a humidifier in many years. When I first used it as a test I wasn't sure it was even on since the ramp up of the pressure was so light and I couldn't even hear the unit.My AHI is .67 on average from the first 9 nights. When I did my test 12+ years ago, my AHI was 77.

Great Mask
8 January 2024

With a beard and breathing through my mouth, I used the" Jason Mask" which covers your eyes and everything. Good mask but the air was drying my eyes out. I got the F30 several years ago and love it. It seals against my beard and my eyes stay normal. The only problem is I have to cinch it down so much rhw elastic starts to strech and finally becomes unuseable. I keep the headgear when they send it but it is not replaced as much as the other parts. So that is a con. But of all the masks I have tried this one comes the best for me. I am trying the F-30I next time to get the hose outta my face, I home the mouthpiece is like the F30.

My dear friend the machine is quite easy to use and program if you know how to program if not the technician will show you how over the phone or you can look it up online yourself. Note I had the doctor send in the required documentation but I find out on my own the highest air pressure doesn’t have to be set at the highest setting possible set it half way that way if you have air leak or some type of sleep issue the pressure won’t be too high when you wake up your lung’s doesn’t feel like they are coming out of your chest or chest pain. Have questions call they will answer your questions. Better know now than regretting it later wishing that you should have asked. I never have any problems out of my machine for 3 years now. And I paid cash for mine because i don’t trust the doctor or the clinic that recommended me for the sleep apnea treatment. I have to follow federal guidelines since I work for a federal regulation job. It’s all about getting the right sleep than getting the wrong sleep and having health problems or getting migraines or headaches etc. i only have had this machine i had another machine that my insurance company recommended and paid for but i ended up having more problems with it from being defective and sending it back to manufacturer and going without until months later the machine is still not working properly that’s why I went with sleeplay with all my cpap supplies

Hate to say it, but I feel it's a bit better than the 11.

The card-to-cloud machine is best for me because I'm not interested in springing for technology just to permit automatic data-transmission to a doctor that doesn't want it anyway. I use an app that reads the SD-card with my card-reader, and records my cpap therapy, presenting daily graphs of all the data (the same stuff the experts review.) With a little homework, I educate myself on what's going on. It's not rocket-science. I can then tweak the settings to optimize my therapy... and it's working great! I have only changed one setting since the doctor made the initial settings on my first machine (a resmed S7, followed by an S9) 20 years ago. A lot of cpap patients keep tabs on their own therapy this way.Furthermore, The AutoSet 10 is LESS noisy than the 11 (which ... MoreThe card-to-cloud machine is best for me because I'm not interested in springing for technology just to permit automatic data-transmission to a doctor that doesn't want it anyway. I don't use the humidifier function. Instead, I use a Vornado Evap40 room humidifier that only needs water every three days or so, therefore I don't have to mess with filling the cpap machine every night, and I wake up without dried out breathing passages. In fact, nothing in the whole room gets dried out either. I recommend this humidifier arrangement to all cpap users.

Just What the Doctor Ordered--and at a very good price
18 May 2024

This was part of our first purchase at Sleeplay and until the order arrived I was a little on edge, wondering if it was "too good to be true." I received exactly what was advertised, quickly and at a very good price.**We decided to go with the Airsense 10 because of the value and reliability we know it represents--we've had one for many years, and because the 11 hasn't had universally good reviews. The heated tubing is really nice--wish we'd started getting that 10 years ago.I am extremely grateful to Sleeplay for the Medical/Military/First responder discount.Good on ya, Sleeplay!**I forgot--one of the extra tubes we ordered for a different Airsense 10 was the incorrect model. One quick call and a new one was shipped the next day.Sleeplay will be my first ... MoreThis was part of our first purchase at Sleeplay and until the order arrived I was a little on edge, wondering if it was "too good to be true." Not the worst mask
14 March 2024

It's not terrible. It's just hard to get it in the right spot. It might just be my face that's the issue. Takes me probably 5-10mins every night before it's sitting perfectly and i can fall asleep. It's either pressing too hard on my nose and i can't breathe with my nose or it's not pressing hard enough and it's leaking. I started with a full face and that was good. Then i went to just the nose one and i thought it worked well. Wanted to try this and i have much more energy during the day. I think I'm going to return it and go back to the f20? It's a nice mask, just doesn't work for me.

ResMed is the Best
12 July 2024

I swore by the Philips Respironics DreamStation 1 and 2 that I owned prior. They my told me it was time to upgrade my device so I requested another Philips. I had a ton of Philips supplies and the machines were always good. They instead sent a ResMed AirSense 11. I complained a bit before being told they no longer carried Philips machines. I grudgingly tried the AirSense 11 and immediately fell in love with it. It was much more quiet, much better for breathing with EPR, less leaks, more user control on the machine, better mobile app, and the ResMed mask selection was far superior. The only area that ResMed was inferior was the humidifier chamber. Most important to me was the EPR settings which adjust pressure on exhale vs inhale. This impressed me enough that I had my doctor write a prescription for a BiPAP and I bought the AirCurve 11 out of pocket. Wow! Being able to set ePAP and iPAP and put a bigger gap on exhale vs inhale is incredible. Breathing is so much better now and my sleep is very deep. Couple that with the ResMed AirTouch memory foam masks which allow me to relax the tightness on the headgear and I get the best sleep ever. I'm finally entering REM state and experiencing dreams again!

These are supposed to get better right?
29 May 2024

As technology evolves most things get smaller and lighter . This 11 isn’t that much smaller than my ResMed S9. The new water chamber, your lucky if you get one night out of it if you like humidification and not wearing a mask that has the humid x system . Also the brown hose that comes with it is heavy and more rigid than the white clear hoses of past and in the mask adapters . When you are sleeping you feel the weight of the hose pulling on your face. That’s not comfortable. Just don’t understand who gave the green light on that decision . One thing I will say is it’s quiet . Not so much that it outweighs the others cons . Not thrilled with this . I might just go back to my ResMed S9 and use this as back up .
